I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

New Treasures and Where I Put Them!!

 Welcome!!

In my last post, I shared a few of my new Buys......
Click HERE if you missed the post.....

In this post, I will be sharing more of the "Treasures" that I recently purchased.......

One of the Tornado damaged stores, Ashley Furniture, has been holding a Tent Sale in the parking lot in front of the store, bringing merchandise in from one of their other stores , Country Junction, which is not only a furniture store but a huge Home/Garden center.........

They have had boxes and boxes of things for Clearance under these Tents.....

I bought this metal tombstone for $1.00!!!!!
And these metal Garden Flowers for only $10 each!!!!
I have seen them other places for as high as $25 - $30 each!!

I also bought these "Tile" like plaques for $1.00 each!!!!!!
Each one has a different design.....
Here is where I hung them in the Powder Room above the closet which houses the washer and dryer...........
And this is how I "Dabbled" a bit with them..........

Adding Tags to them that I had bought on Ebay a few years back......
On another trip down to the Tent Sale, I bought these Goodies.......

I almost ran to the bin when I saw what it was filled with!!!!!
I am picturing this darling red truck filled with pumpkins and gourdes for Autumn.......
And I could not believe that it was only $10.....
In the same bin, was this cute wagon.......
I was going to pay $10 for it but.......
They only charged me $5.00 for it!!!

I also found this large butterfly stake for the garden......
It was $10, the same price that I paid for the smaller flower ones.......
And I bought this plate rack for $2.00.......
I had another $5 off  $25 coupon at Dollar General so I went back to see what I could find........

I bought 2 Patriotic bird houses.........
One for inside the house and one for the outside of the house......

They were $5 each so one was free since I used the $5 off  $25 coupon.......

I also bought these cute tin buckets.......
They were $3.00 each.......

I put this one out on the front porch on the table between the 2 chairs........
This clay pot planted with hens and chicks fits nicely inside the bucket.......
I like the way the clay pot and the tin bucket look together......

I also bought this bright green sprinkler for $2 to hang from the hook on the post in the garden.......
And you can imagine my delight when I saw this PINK Gazing Ball in Ollie's!!!!!
It was only $10 but I had a 15%  off coupon for all purchases!!
 I just love this!!!!
For Mother's Day, I also bought this pretty Fairy House Solar Light using an Amazon Gift Card that my son gave me for Mother's Day.......
   Isn't it darling??????
I stopped in at Michael's and picked up this Patriotic Firecracker!!!!!!!!
It was 60% off and I had a coupon for an additional 25 % off......
Taking it from $19.99 down to $6.00!!!
I also bought new cushions and pillows for the chairs out in the back Patio.......
 I bought these at J.C. Penney's for 70 % off!!!!
 The cushions were originally $42........
They were marked down to $12.60 each............I bought 2.......
 For a total of $26.71!!!

I earned a $10 Reward Certificate with this purchase........

So I went back the next day and bought these pillows......

They were originally $32 each!!!
They were marked down to $9.60!
With using the $10.00 reward certificate, I only paid $9.75 for 2 pillows!!!
I will tell you that I have had my eye on 2 chairs and a table in Wegman's, to replace these white wicker ones in our back Patio.......

These white ones are over 13 years old and were made from the original resin wicker when it first came out and are falling apart......

So in my next post, I will be sharing our Bright and Colorful Patio with new chairs and a table.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Oh Debbie, I love your new things. When I saw those truck type things, I thought Christmas! Wow, they're going to look so great. I saw those resin chairs when I was out the other day and they look so good on your patio, I think I might have to go back and get two for our porch. Thanks for all the inspiration as usual. Your bright colors and creativity really cheer me up.

  3. You are a great shopper with all the sales and coupons. Your haul is interesting - loved the flower stakes in your garden - I often wish we would get art for our garden but can never decide on it. And you are right - it is expensive. Enjoy all your goodies.

  11. What a feast for the eyes Debbie. All that beautiful stuff you found. That gazing ball is just gorgeous, and that big butterfly and those "Tile" plaques, love them. I've been dying to get my hands on a few of those but haven't had any luck so far. Can't wait to see how you decorate your little truck and the wagon. I'm sure it's going to look awesome.
