I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared my Memorial Day Front Porch and Yard....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Happy Memorial Day!!

I hope you get to spend the Holiday with those that you love....

I will be hosting our family remembrance of those that gave their lives for this Country tomorrow on Tuesday....

Today, I want to share the other half of my Bright and Cheery Patio....

I call it that because I have the back Patio decorated in bright colors where I do the front porch in a red, yellow and orange color theme....

We left off in the last post about the other half of the Patio, here at the back door....

This wreath is the same as the ones that I have hanging on the windows of the Den.....

I did add 2 things to the wreath....

I bought the Garden of Weedin' sign at Dollar Tree a few years back....

And the Mimi's Garden sign was gifted to me last Mother's Day by my Son Jim and his family....

This is the smaller, more utilitarian side of the Patio....

On the wall....

Joe and I went to a Fair about an hour away from our home shortly after we got married and I had this sign made......

My friend and former neighbor Lynn gifted me this beautiful wind chime last year after Joe passed away...

I hung this one and another similar one that my nieces gifted me under the awning on the patio this year to protect them from the elements...

I bought this mirror at a yard sale for $5....

I bought this a few weeks ago in Ollies for only $19.99....

A few years ago, we bought one in Home Depot for $60!!

I moved the older one over to the other side of the patio and put the new one here as I feel it matched the color of the chair better....

A pot filled with some of the faux flowers that I recently bought sits on top of it....

I decided that I was also going to use faux flowers in this hanging pot.....

So I ordered these online from Walmart....

Along with a yellow flowering vine that I forgot to take a picture of before I put it in the hanging pot...

The real flowers in this pot were always drying out and when I watered it, it leaked down on the deck box....

I will not have to worry about that anymore....

Under the hanging pot......

Is this chair that I bought many years ago at a yard sale and placed a pot in....

I transplanted a hosta in the pot this year....

The potting stand that I made out of my late neighbor Elly's baker's rack....

Bird houses bought on clearance by Joe in Big Lot's 2 years ago....

On the paver extension of the Patio that I laid a few years ago....

These were all the annual flowers that I bought this year as I was able to cut way back because of all the faux flowers that I bought.......

I planted most of them in the front and had these left over to plant in the back yard....

Faux flowers in the watering can and hens and chicks in the 2 other containers...

These are the flowers that I used in the watering can...

I planed one impatien in the pot under the table and 2 marigolds in the other pot on the ground....

I plan on planting some marigold seeds in the pot under the chair.....

More faux flowers....

And that completes my tour of my back Patio for this Summer Season.....
