In my last post, I shared the large Easter Tree in our Living Room, a Snow Storm and our grand pups!!!

Click HERE if you missed that post!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Food of the Week

On Sunday, Joe had an afternoon Hockey game so I heated up a container of each of these that Joe bought at one of our favorite places, Malacari's, which is right down the road from us...

I forgot to take a picture when I first took them out of the oven....

They were delicious on Italian buns...

These were $8.99 in another local grocery store....

We will definitely get these again as Joe even liked them....

After the game, as a Season Ticket Holder, Joe got the chance to "Shoot To Win" for FREE Season Tickets for next year....

See that little hole in the board????

That is where the puck is supposed to go through!!!!!

Our great niece, Cortney, who works on the Ice Crew at games, stayed afterward to take pictures of Joe's attempt!!

He was nervous because he has never shot a puck before with a Hockey Stick before nor was he ever down on the Ice even after being a Season Ticket Holder for close to 20 years....

Here he is warming up and Rachel, who is also one of the hosts of the local TV show Pa Live, is going to announce him......

She is also employed by the WB Scranton Penguins and knows Joe....

She told him that he looks just like one of the Penguin players!!

He was just happy he did not fall on his face!!!!

He actually managed to hit the puck all the way down the ice but missed the board by about a foot....

He made a donation of $10 to the Penguins Charitable Foundation for a second shot.....

Lo and Behold, he actually hit the board but missed that tiny hole by about a foot and a half!!

It was impressive as a lot of people didn't even hit the puck half way down the ice....

Joe did get a nice round of applause after his second shot and High 5's so now his head will be even bigger than it already is!!!!!

HERE is the video Cortney took of it.....

Someone did actually make the shot after Joe, winning their season tickets for next year!!!

Kudos to that guy!!!

Speaking of the WB Scranton Penguins, these are our Dinners for this week......

Joey and I will be having the Chicken Parmigiana with Penne Pasta & Oven Roasted Broccoli

That is a big piece of chicken!!!!

And Joe got the Beef Stuffed Peppers with Whipped Mashed Potato..

Again, look at the size of those 2 peppers....

He will most likely get 2 dinners out of this one....

I will let you know how they were....

Today, I am sharing how the rest of the Living Room looks decorated for Easter.....

We will start at the Front Door.....

I have had this Bunny for years and this year, decided to "dabble' a bit with it!!!

I added trim and ribbon flowers from my stash.....

Joe's Grandmother's Hutch....

The top of the Hutch....

Last year, Joe bought a bunch of Easter things at 90% off after Easter in Big Lot's.....

These sweet little Bunny Purses were 30 cents a piece!!!!!

I decided to use these on top of the Hutch this year....

I filled them with some Easter straw and added a few eggs on top.....

I bought the cross at a church Flea Market for $1.00 a few years ago.....

The inside of the Hutch is now set up the way it will remain until I change it out for Christmas again in November.....

I took out all the red colored items that I had inside of it for Valentine's.....

On the stairs....

For Valentine's....

Now for Easter......

 Looking up the stairs....

For Valentine's......

 Now for Easter.....

A wreath I made years ago....

Joe bought this Easter sign on Clearance a few years ago....

I decided to "dabble" with it a bit.....

I added trim and beads around the edges.....

And ribbon flowers....

I used a permanent marker to make the lettering stand out more....

I made this plaque last year....

I decided to leave up the small Tree that I had here in this corner for Christmas and Valentine's...

This is how it looked for Valentine's....

 And now for Easter.....

I decided to change up things and did a different display on this chair than i have had for past years.....

I decided to do a Bunny Family display on the chair this year....

I put some faux lilies in a milk glass vase.....

The larger Bunnies were bought at Michael's about 5 years ago when I just happened to hit their clearance at 90% off!!!

The Bunny box was gifted to me and I honestly can not remember where I got the smaller Bunnies......

 Underneath the chair....

I bought that sweet Bunny at Tuesday Mornings for only $5, marked down from $50 which I thought was a lot of money!!!!!

As I mentioned, this is the first time I left this Tree up and decorated it for Easter......

I "borrowed " some things from the larger Tree in the Living Room....

One set of pink LED lights which look purple ....

Topped with a purple and aqua deco mesh bow that matches the larger Tree....

I also used 2 strands of egg garland from the larger Tree...

And I decorated it with ornaments from the larger Tree....

You can see the ornaments I used better with the lights off the Tree....

I will let the pictures do the talking!!

On the marble topped table that the Tree is set up on....

2 Nutcracker bunnies I bought a long time ago at a church Flea Market!!!!

I am glad that I decided to leave it up for Easter!!!

 Over by the Dining Room....

The stereo stand....

For Valentine's....

Now for Easter.....

 Added a cute Bunny couple....

 And some eggs.....

The large round table over in the corner by the Dining Room......

For Valentine's.....

For Easter....

I decided to change out the gold cherubs that I have had on these shelves forever for some of my Victorian Ladies!!!!!

Why I never thought of this before is beyond me!!!

Again, I added some Easter things to this table...

The Bunny Car was just gifted to me by my friend, Anne Marie!!!!

You may remember that I changed out the drapes for Spring and Summer ones.....

For Valentine's....

Now for Easter.....

What a difference, HUH?????

Joe bought this at 90% off last year....

I decided to spruce it up a bit!!

I added trim and beads around the edge.........

And ribbon flowers and went over the lettering with a black marker to make it stand out more....

It looks good with the egg signs that I also embellished.....

In the center of my faux window is a cross I made several years ago from a styrofoam form I bought at the estate sale of a Florist!!

Yes, there is a set of lights woven through it...

And this is the larger Easter Tree....

And the Bunny Patch underneath it!!

On the window....

I embellished this cross this year too!!

On the side of the TV Entertainment Center.....

For Valentine's...

Again, for Easter, I added a few Easter things......

The top of the TV Entertainment Center for Valentine's....

Now for Easter....

Click HERE to see more pictures of this....

For Valentine's....

For Easter.....

An Easter Basket, Eggs and Bunny!!

 By the door.....

For Valentine's....

 For Easter......

I put Victorian style peacock feathers in the large vase that Joe pulled out of our dumpster!!!!!

I brought out this peach bowl and pitcher that I bought at an estate sale for $10!!!!

And there you have it!!!!

The Living Room decorated for Easter.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoyed changing things up a it this year.....

  1. I love the comparisons in each area and what you have changed and updated for the new season. Easter pastels are so pretty and all your decorations just make me feel happy that Spring is coming. I love how you "dabble", update and embellish to make them even prettier!

Holy Mole! The portion sizes on the Reheat and Heat meals are huge! Easily two dinners. I just think this is such a great option to let someone else do the cooking. I do not think you have had one disappointing meal.

My parents were season ticket holders many, many years ago, for what was called the "Toledo Goaldiggers". The first game I attended with my mom on a night my dad couldn't make it would have been in 1981. My oldest son was just nine months old and it was the first time I left him for several hours. When I came home, my husband said he was walking. I just laughed and went to bed. It was true. I spent every moment with him for nine straight months and he took his first steps for dad! My other memories are that the concession stand sold wine slush drinks (before anyone really sold a frozen cocktail) and my children being chosen to try to shoot that puck for prizes. No one ever got it in the hole!

  4. Kudos to Joe for even hitting the board! I don't think I could have. Seeing your wooden bunny on the front door reminded me to change out my front door decor. My mother in law bought me a welcome sign that has different wooden images for each season/ holiday and I haven't changed it out once yet since putting it up after Christmas. You have so many adorable little bunnies and pretty easter colors everywhere!

  5. Oh my, Debbie! You are so ready and festive! Have you ever counted them all up? The eggs and bunnies? You must have thousands!

Which of the pulled porks did you like best? The both look delicious.

I'd love to share those bell peppers. They look so good and are one of my most favorite foods..Are you having spring weather yet?..xxoJudy
