I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

One Fall and Three Halloween Tablescapes!!!!

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Just a reminder, I will be posting on Wednesdays and Sundays every week so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Today, I will be sharing a few tablecapes.....

But first, Thanks to Niki, over at Life as a Leo Wife, for choosing my Post, Witch's Potion Table, as her feature from last week's Traffic Jam Weekend Link Party!!

 Thanks so much, Niki!!

Please stop by and link up to this wonderful party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Over the weekend, I made some banana bread.....

I put chocolate chips in the batter for the first time.....

I actually prefer it without the chocolate chips but Joey loved it!!

On Monday evening, I invited our Niece Renae and our Great Nieces Cortney, Caitlin and Carly over for some Pizza for Dinner.....

It was so nice being able to get together again !!

We had a great time and they loved the banana bread.....

I also served zucchini bread and ice cream sandwiches and popsicles!!

I set a simple table .....

Used cute paper plates and napkins that Joe picked up.....

Of course, I had Halloween Bags made up for the girls.....

And I even had a little something for Renae too!!

 Aren't these plates cute!!!

And napkins.....

And dessert plates.....

Joe bought them at Big Lot's.....

It was a nice evening spent with family!!

In my Last Post, I shared my Fall/Halloween Home Tour for 2021 and a few more Halloween Crafts.....

Click HERE if you missed that post......

I decided to "play" around and I did 3 Tablescapes all in one afternoon!!

This one is called A Witch's Brunch!!

Joe bought this whimsical Halloween tablecloth on Clearance last year.....

Even though we do not eat breakfast or lunch, I pictured this a a table setting for a Brunch for Joe and I.....

 Simple place settings.....

I started with an orange charger plate placed on top of black spider web place mats..........

Cute Halloween plates....

A plain white coffee mug and a crystal glass for water.....

The crystal glasses were a wedding gift.....

And my regular every day Oneida Silverware that my Mother bought me.....

In the center of the table.....

The black pumpkin filled with faux Fall flowers and a pair of Witch's legs poking out....

I also added black roses that light up, bought at Dollar Tree....

On the side of the pumpkin centerpiece is a black pumpkin and a witch!!

You can see that the same silver spider web fabric that covers the pumpkin.....

Is also what the Witch's dress is made of.....

In front of the centerpiece.....

Are 2 Jack O Lanterns, 2 Ghosts and a set of Owl Salt and Pepper Shakers....

Along with a light up Halloween Ball.....

And 2 more Halloween plates for the food for Brunch!!

It takes on a slightly more spookier look with the lights turned down!!

I hope you enjoyed your Witch's Brunch!!!

A Cemetery Tea....

This Halloween Tablescape is a bit more on the scarier side!!!!

Imagine having Tea in a Cemetery!!

Among the Tombstones!!!

Again, simple place settings.....

I started with a black charger plate that I spray painted on top of the black spider web place mats.....

Then I added a round silver tray from Dollar Tree.....

And then placed a black and white Halloween Plate that says "Wicked" on top so that it looks as if it has a silver border....

A silver tea cup and saucer.....

And the same crystal water glasses from the first Tablescape.....

The other place setting on the other side of the table.....

This plate has "Spooky" written on it!!

In the center of the table.....

Tea among the Tombstones....

A large Tombstone that says "RIP" with a bat on top of it....

The Tombstone is flanked by 2 silver mercury glass Owls.....

In the center is the Tea Set that matches the tea cups and saucers.....

In front of that is a silver bony hand holding a black skull and a set of silver Skull Salt and Pepper Shakers....

Crows, or Ravens if you like to call them, and black rats are around the Cemetery along with silver acorns....

"Happy Hauntings!!!"

"Final Thoughts" is a great book depicting some interesting Tombstones and Epitaphs in some interesting Cemeteries around the Country.....

The Author is someone I was acquainted with.....

Did you enjoy having your Tea in the Cemetery????

The next Tablescape is a Fall one.....

Autumn Elegance Tablescape....

I recently bought this Tablecloth in Boscov's.....

You may remember that it is the same tablecloth that I used for my Dinnerware basket donation to our Church's Harvest Tea....

I thought it was really pretty so I bought one for myself.....

Being that all sizes were the same price, I bought the largest Tablecloth even though it would be too big for my Dining Room table....

Why did I do that you ask???

Well, I was able to cut this much fabric off the tablecloth!!

I will use this to make runners or even pillow covers.....

A cheap way to get fabric!!!

I apologize that I did not have time to iron the tablecloth as I took all the pictures for this post this afternoon after I got home from a Dr.'s appointment!!

I did pop it in the dryer which helped a bit!!

And for the third time, simple place settings....

This is more for an elegant Dinner.....

I used my gold scalloped charger plates...

I placed a Fall Melamine dinner plate that I bought at a Church Flea Market on top..

The gold flatware was also bought at a Church Flea Market and there was only 2 place settings of it....

I have a service for 12 of gold flatware in a different pattern....

I used my vintage Libby's Gold Leaf glasses......

And a simple napkin with the first initial of our last name....

And the same thing on the other side of the table....

In the center of the table.....

A bit of Autumn Elegance.....

A mercury glass Owl sitting on top of an inverted gold pot....

"Friends and Family Gather Here"

The Owl is flanked on each side by lanterns decorated for Fall......

Also in the center is a lighted Fall globe....

A copper colored pine cone and acorn from Dollar Tree.......

 Embellished velvet Pumpkins.....

An elegant dining experience for two......

But one that can easily be converted to a Thanksgiving Day Dinner Tablescape for two!!

Take away the Owl and place the "Friends and Family Gather Here" sign on top of the inverted pot.....

And change the napkins to Thanksgiving Day ones!!!

And you have a Thanksgiving Day Dinner Tablescape!!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I "played" around with some tablescapes!!

I sure did have fun!!

Be sure to come back on Sunday as I will be sharing my friend Anne Marie's Halloween Home Tour which will not disappoint!!!!!

  1. I love all your tables, especially the spooky one! I have my table set for Spooky Halloween with some Pfaltzgraff Halloween dishes I have had for decades. But no one eats there, LOL. The kids are at a small table in the family room and 99% of the time Jim and I eat on tv trays.

How wonderful you could have a family pizza party! It looks like everyone had a good time!

  2. Wow! Loads of fun going on in those tables, Debbie. So much to see -- a feast for the eyes!

  3. Lots of fun looks here, but the most important of course, are the people around the table. The first time we all gathered around the table again was outside this summer. This year Thanksgiving will be spent together---buffet, so family/friends can spread out a bit--just to be safe. We will have had our boosters, the grand will be vaccinated, so it will seem safe. Love all your decorating---but is all about those faces, laughing, visiting and breaking bread together, isn't it! Hugs, Sandi

  4. Your decor is lovely, but more than that, I always enjoy seeing your gatherings. It's wonderful to see a family that's so close. Reminds me of my own and all the wonderful ones we had when my mom was still with us. You are blessed!

  7. I love how many fun tablescapes you came up with - you have a lot of great Halloween pieces! It was nice you were able to enjoy a fun meal with the family too! I do prefer banana bread without choc chips as well, but it's nice to add them now and then for something a little different!

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend :) We are enjoying our long weekend, with a beach day Friday, playdate and carnival yesterday.
