I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Fall Front Porch, 2018

 Welcome!!!!!

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated our front porch for Fall..........
On Sunday, I packed up all my Summer décor and yard art from the front of our townhouse.......
And I cleaned up everything left on the porch and gave it a good sweeping and decorated it for Fall!!!!!
I did do a few things differently this Season.......
Starting with this black urn which is one of a pair that sit on each end of the porch.......
For the past few years, I had the Autumn topiary that I made from a tomato cage sitting in this urn.......
I decided to move the topiary elsewhere.......

After looking for ideas on something different to do with the urns, I came up with this, using things that I already had.........
When Joe pulled the flowers out, he left the spike in so I decided to use that as the center and planted a small yellow mum on the side of it........
I added faux pumpkins, gourdes, leaves and a berry stem that I already had.......
Then I stuck a Fall decorated shovel in the back and threw in 2 solar lights for night time lighting..............
I am pleased with how it turned out.........

There is a railing that separates our porch from my neighbor's who live in the townhouse next to me........
Against the railing........
In an empty post is a lantern and a solar light until I can get another small mum to plant in it.....
Hanging on the post is a sunflower stained glass solar lit lantern.........
A faux pumpkin sits on the ground......
On a wrought iron table is one of a set of 3 orange lanterns......

I have placed a tin bucket in with a pot planted with hens and chicks.....
A faux pumpkin with Harvest Time written on it sits in front of the lantern........
The weeping mortar on the front of our house allows me to hangs things off it......
I hung a wooden leaf plaque and added Fall flowers to the vintage style mailbox......
Sitting on top of the red milk can is a terra cotta Jack O Lantern that I bought at a flea market many years ago........
The front door.......
A wreath that I made hangs on the front door........
I leave the furniture on the porch until after Halloween and then it gets stored for the Winter.......
You can see that I hung more Fall plaques .......

The cute scarecrow one that was bought at a church flea market......
I bought the Harvest sign last year at Gabes.......
A wooden leaf Welcome wreath.......
And a metal Harvest sign.........
I made a new bow for the porch light from burlap like deco mesh........
The Welcome friends sign was also bought at Gabes a few months ago......
I flipped the cushions on the chairs to the striped side.......
On the table between the chairs is a cute Jack O Lantern that we bought last year at Wegman's.......
I have a fall floral swag behind it......
And the second orange lantern from the set of 3 rests on the bottom shelf of the table.......
In the corner............
Another new bow tops the lit tree that stays on the porch year round......
A faux pumpkin sits in an empty pot.......
The small table in the corner.....
Another tin pail filled with a pot planted with hens and chicks and a lantern filled with some faux gourdes......
Beneath the table is the third orange lantern with another pumpkin that says Harvest Time resting inside the top of it....
Looking out from the porch........
In front of the railing......
A leaf garland with burlap like deco mesh intertwined through it is attached to the top of the railing......
2 large bows finish off each side of the railing.......
Tri color mums that have yet to bloom have been planted in the square pots in front of the railing......
The colors are supposed to be bronze, yellow and orange.......
Another terra cotta Jack O Lantern sits on top of my cherub bird bath.......
A faux corn stalk is tied to the center of the railing.....
At the end of the porch is the other black urn.....
I did the same type of arrangement in this urn as in the other one......
Only I used a sign bought at Dollar Tree since I did not have another Fall shovel.......
I added faux leaves and another berry stem....
You can see that I planted another small yellow mum in this urn too......
I will update you on how the mums look once they open......
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated our front porch for Fall this year.......
We hope that we get some nice weather so we can sit out and enjoy the porch before colder weather sets in because we definitely did not get a chance to sit out on the porch this Summer because of all  the heat, humidity and rain that we had.......
In my next post, I will be sharing the front flower beds........
And you will see what I did with that Autumn topiary that a made a few years back.......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
