I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

A Few New Buys!!!

Welcome!!

Today, I will be sharing a few things that we recently bought lately........
In my last post, I shared that I am in the process of decorating our Living Room for Fall along with changing linens and curtains over for Fall and Winter.......

Of course, I also have to go to work in the midst of this but I hope to soon be able to share some Fall decorations with you.......

But until then, I want to share a few things that I bought.....

I picked these up for the Kitchen.......
These 2 Fall plaques were originally $10 each in Michael's.......
The day I was there, they were on sale for $5.00 each.......
And I had a 20% off  entire purchase coupon..........
Which took them down to $4.20 plus tax each.....

I bought these Fall oven mitts and glove at Dollar Tree......
Joe picked up these for FREE!!!!!!
When one of the stores that was damaged by the Tornando that hit our area finished up a Tent Sale, everything was FREE!!!
Joe pulled them out of a box and you can see that the original price was $15.09 each!!!!

I am not sure if I am going to use these as candleholders.......I have another idea........

I bought these pretty crackle glass votives in Big Lot's......
They were $10 but I had a Rewards coupon for $5.00 off a $15.00 purchase......
And Joe picked up these lights on Clearance in Wegman's........
They were $10 each and were marked down to.......
$3.00 each!!!!!
I have all kinds of ideas for these!!!!

He also bought these 2 sets of battery operated lights, also for $3.00 , originally $10.00!!
I like how they are used in the picture on the back of the box......
I think they will be perfect for Christmas and Winter decorations as they look like snow balls.......

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my New Buys!!!

I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. I think you have the same problem I have...addicted to the unique! My favorite of the haul was the close pin lights. I could see those being strung on wire across an empty frame for holding xmas cards or photos year round. So cute. Looking forward to what you do with all the stuff you found.

  8. You are fortunate that Joe is also on the lookout for bargains! You both found some really good deals. Can't wait to see how you use all of it. I know those candle holders were flood damaged but I kind of like the patina that resulted.

  9. Debbie, I just notice the 'Blogging for Friends and Friendship'---nice way to put ad-free blogging---Is this connected to anything---or can we start a movement of sorts with it? Great finds---!
