I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Fairy Garden on a "Mantle", My Very Own Bed and Breakfast

Welcome!!!

In my last post, I talked about losing my MOJO and how I got it back......
Click HERE if you missed that post......

When I spoke about my MOJO, I meant my creative juices and sense of imagination......

Going along those lines, I decided that I would like to go with more of a Garden Theme in my Sitting Room for the Summer months.....

But before I continue, I want to Thank Beverly , over at How Sweet The Sound, for featuring my post, A Tribute to a Special Friend,  from last week's Anything Goes Pink Saturday Party!!!
 Thanks so much, Beverly!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!

The Sitting Room is painted yellow and has a pretty floral border.....

Last year, after Christmas, I displayed some of my Fairy Garden pieces that I usually use in 2 different containers in the yard in the Summer, on the mantle of my faux fireplace until it was time to put them back outside again....
This year I decided to add some new Fairy Garden pieces to my display out in the yard and move some of my older pieces inside and keep them on display for the remainder of the Summer.....

As I mentioned, I am going with more of a Garden theme in the Sitting Room for the Summer....

I already shared the Garden Wreath that I hung on the door.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

I did buy a few more pieces to add to my outside Fairy Garden tubs but that will be for another post.......

I separated what I wanted to use inside.......
And what I am going to use outside.......
I added a few more things to create this Fairy Garden on the mantle of my faux fireplace in the Sitting Room......

Let's take a peak over on the left side first.......
I kept the crystal cake plates that I used in my Christmas display, along with the battery operated LED lighted branch Trees.......
On the crystal cake plate is a vintage crystal candle holder..........
  And a cute little Fairy.......
Underneath the cake plate is a bridge and  cute Fairy Garden house...........
On the side of the cake plate is a solar lantern that I once had out in the back yard but now the solar lighting no longer works.........
I decided to bring it inside and I have a string of battery operated fairy lights inside of it......
This is a sweet Fairy that I bought a few years ago at Jo Ann's Fabrics......
Notice that I have a vintage embroidered scarf on the top of the mantle that my Grandmother made......
In the center of the mantle.....
Keeping with the Garden theme......
A Garden sign hangs on the mirror above the "Mantle"......
 "In My Garden, Love Grows"
You can see my tea cup shelf reflected in the mirror.....
 On a pedestal.......
Flanked by 2 LED lighted branch trees......
Is a Fairy Garden tea cup plant stand that I bought at the end of the Season last year on Clearance at Big Lots for 50% off.........
It cost $10.00 and I had a $5.00 off coupon.....
Another Fairy Garden House sits on top of the tea cup.......
Along with another Fairy that I bought at JoAnn's a few years ago.......
Don't you just love the cute door on the tea cup????
A sweet little Fairy and a frog sits outside......
Underneath the pedestal.......
2 lighted House plates that I have had for many years sit in the background......
The one on the left is a cottage house.....
2 new pieces from Big Lots is are the cute Fairy and the sign that says.......

Fly Zone
Fairy Land
Snail Trail

The sign is part of the 2 piece set that I bought .....

In the center, is a garden bench under a trellis.......
A card with a pretty gazebo provides a background and a cute Fairy sits reading a book on the bench......

Let's now take a look on the other side.......
 I bought several new Fairies......
In the background, is the other lighted plate with a Victorian house on it......
A cute Fairy sitting on a stump and the lantern that was part of a 2 piece set.....
Another solar lantern that no longer works, filled with fairy battery operated lights......
 2 more new Fairies.......
Again, I have a crystal cake plate on this side......
 Another vintage crystal candle holder.......
 And another sweet Fairy....
 Underneath the cake plate.......
Another Fairy Garden house......
I hope you enjoyed seeing my new Fairy Garden display on my mantle.......
And I can't wait to show you how it looks lit up in the evening!!!!
I will be sharing that in another post.......
I will also be sharing how I decorated the hearth area of the faux fireplace for the Summer.......

As soon as I am finished with a few projects....

So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
