I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

 A NOTE ABOUT COMMENTS

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared how I decorated the top of the TV Entertainment Center, which I treat like a "Mantel"...

And also how I decorated the area in front of it....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Even though we have hit 80 again a few times this past week, Fall is definitely here in NEPA!!

Each year, I share the progression of color on the tree in the yard across the court from me...

By the end of October, if the wind does not blow the leaves off of it, this tree will be ablaze with red and orange colors and I am blessed that I will be able to see it right through my Living Room window and when I sit on the front porch!!

Depending on the time of day, the sun illuminates it differently...

I will continue to share this tree and more of the Fall Foliage that NEPA is famous for in posts to come...

The Fall sunsets have been quite spectacular compared to the Summer ones, which were rather lacking in  luster this Summer...

From my Front Porch.....

Soon, the Sun will not make it around to the front of my house and I will not be able to see the Sunsets from the front porch until the end of March....

Today, I am continuing the tour of my Living Room decorated in an Elegant Autumn theme for Fall....

This year, I tried to incorporate more pops of aqua into my Fall decor as the wall below the chair rail in this room is painted aqua....

We are going to start at the front door which is the main entrance to my townhouse....

To the right when you walk in the door....

There is a table next to the vase, that my late husband Joe pulled out of our dumpsters.....

You can see that I tried to bring some aqua into my table vignettes in this room....

I added an aqua velvet like pumpkin stem from Dollar Tree to the arrangement in this vase which includes a lighted branch....

I bought this marble topped stand many years ago at a church flea market....

Joe had bought this hurricane candle holder in Wegman's...

I tucked a few aqua velvet like pumpkins from Dollar tree into this Fall candle ring....

I topped this apothecary jar with a bow I made and filled it with Fall fillers....

The Front Door curtains were changed over to the Fall ones....

You can see the difference.....

I hung a deco mesh wreath that I made on the door...

And a scarecrow tussie mussie that I made on the door knob.....

 Joe's grandmother's Hutch....

I apologize as it is really hard to get a good picture of this because of all the mirrors and glass....

On the left side of the Hutch....

I bought the brass fan and scones at yard sales many years ago and they never went out of style in my house!!

But I am glad that brass and copper are back in style now as I think they are classics...

More lighted branches in a brass can....

The vintage ash tray stand is used for keys.....

The top of the Hutch....

An antique mantel mirror hangs above the Hutch...

 The left side....

I used amber glass A1 Steak sauce bottles as vases.....
A Fall table top tree was placed in the center of the top of the Hutch.....

And a metal owl candle holder was placed in front of the tree....

An angel ornament hangs in the center....

Also on each side are more aqua pumpkins from Dollar Tree....

Small green cloth pumpkins on the ends and I wrapped a piece of orange velvet like ribbon around the candles...

I decorate this Hutch year round with my white and gold ceramic Angel collection....

The mantel clock, that holds my husband's ashes, is on the top shelf....

I did keep a few aqua colored glassware pieces from the Summer inside and added more iris herringbone depression glass pieces......

Top shelf....

 2 Fall crackle glass votives....

Pumpkins and 2 Iris Herringbone tumblers....

 Middle shelf....

Orange glittered Dollar Tree pumpkins and 2 Carnival glass bowls that were Joe's maternal grandmothers....

The crystal sugar and creamer, on a matching tray, were also Joe's maternal grandmother's....

Aqua glasses are in the back....

I keep the Angel Tree out year round...

Bottom shelf...

More Iris Herringbone pieces and aqua colored glassware....

The vase was my Mother's...

Again, I apologize for the glare from the mirrors and all the glitz.....

On the right side of the Hutch....

The glass votive cups are from Home Interiors have Angels imprinted on them!

On the stairs, which is what you see straight ahead when you walk in the front door........

 The left side....

I topped the lanterns with bows I made and placed a few pumpkins and gourdes inside of them....

A "Pumpkin" I made out of Pringles cans....

A Fall Angel I bought a few years ago at a Church flea market for only $3!!

A pumpkin that I painted and embellished....

On the right side of the stairs....

 A wreath that I made....

A Fall sign that I embellished....

A tin pocket.....

The glass ball was bought in Big Lot's...

A pumpkin that I emnbellished....

And another toilet paper pumpkin using a velvet like fabric....

And this is where I will leave off for today!!

  1. Lovely sunsets, they seem more vibrant in fall. Our trees are changing colour too, some are gorgeous. Your stairs look fantastic now they are decorated. Have a lovely weekend.
