I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

French Country Vintage Farmhouse Kitchen, Part 2, and a Few New Buys, 2023

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I am now posting TWICE  a week !!!

I will be posting on MONDAY and FRIDAY!

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing Part 2 of a 3 Part Tour of my Kitchen decorated for the first part of the Summer....

In my last post, I shared Part 1 of a 3 part Tour of my Kitchen decorated in what I call a French Country Vintage Farmhouse theme using a red and yellow color scheme along with a lot of "Roos and Hens"....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Thanks to Teresa, over at Keeping it Real, for choosing my post, Tea Table and Chandy in the Dining Room, as one of her features from last week's The Really Crafty Link Party!!

 Thanks so much, Teresa!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church had an Election Day Food Sale as the church is used as a Polling Place...

We bought 3 Porketta sandwiches at $8 a piece....

They each came with a bag of potato chips......

There was so much meat on the sandwiches that I took some off and used it to make 3 more Slider sandwiches!!

I used the buns from the slider sandwiches with this fantastic tasting chicken salad that Joe bought at Price Chopper for sandwiches for Joe to eat at lunch because trying to get him to eat lunch is like pulling teeth!!

He is an Adult Onset Diabetic now and takes an oral hypoglycemic agent so he needs to eat something more during the day than Reese's Peanut Butter Cups!!!!

We had the Grand Pups most of the week as Jim and Danielle were on Vacation in NYC for a concert....

Here they are playing a bit of Hockey!!

Not sure which one would get a High Sticking Penalty though!!

 LOL!!

I did a bit of shopping last weekend....

One of my guilty pleasures is watching Shopping Haul videos on You Tube on our big TV in the Living Room!!

After seeing one on Dollar General, I knew I needed to go with Joe to use our $5 off $25 coupon last Saturday!!

 This is what I bought...

I saw these on the one video I watched, which was part of their new Summer Farmhouse collection....

And I bought more of these little critters....

I already shared where I used one of the bumble bees and the lady bug in the Kitchen....

These napkins are perfect for my theme for Summer in the Kitchen and they match my place mats and cafe curtain and valances that I made from a tablecloth....

Flowers for only a buck each which is now cheaper than Dollar Tree

I also want to point out that they went to all paper bags instead of plastic and have really nice ones with handles....

We also bought some food items to make the $25 so we could get $5 off....

I then went to Dollar Tree....

I bought these to add a pop of color and whimsy to the back yard....

And these mushrooms...

Here they are on the front porch.....

I am a sucker for pretty napkins and I fell in love with these...

These I will paint and use these on my Late Summer "Under the Sea" themed Tree in the Living Room....

These I will glam up a bit and use as ornaments on my Patriotic Summer Tree in the Living Room ....

I plan on planting these and then using the seed packs for a craft project.....

And I love these new plastic vines!!

Pale yellow sunflowers....

And this is what I did with them along with the daisies....

Adds a pop of color on the other side of the front door....

I did need a new oven mitt that was not a Holiday one....

I already shared it in use in the Kitchen....

And that brings me to where we left off in Part 1 of my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Late Spring/Early Summer in a French Country Vintage Farmhouse theme using red and yellow along with a "Roos and Hens" theme.....

I left off here at the stove....

In 2019, I covered 2 old Home Interiors pictures with place mats from Dollar Tree....

Vintage pot holders...

Plaid dish towels...

"Roos and Hens" dish towels hung for display....

On the side of the stove....

My favorite sign!!!

Vintage jar filled with vintage flatware...

You may remember I bought the chopping board at the Home Show that was at our Arena a few months ago....

Love the wood grain on it!!

A "Roos and Hens" acrylic chopping board on the counter....

This is where my Kitchen window used to be before we removed it when we converted the Patio into our Den many years ago....

I still treat it as a window and decorate it as such.....

I bought this on Saturday at Dollar General.....

I hung it on this cabinet door....

Hanging above the "window".....

Just one of the bows I made using these ribbons....

Plaques I redid several years ago using pot holders from Dollar Tree on the sides.....

I added bows that I made from red and white checked ribbon in a smaller size.....

I decorated the chandy I made with mini vintage styled Kitchen utensil ornaments....

I made the valance from a tablecloth.....

The beads were bought at Christmas a few years ago....

I bought the Hen ornaments hanging on the valance a few years back in Walmart......

And I painted the bird houses many years ago!!!

 On the "window sill"...

Vintage salt and pepper shakers....

I painted the milk bottles white....

I bought the houses in Michael's at 90% off  a long time ago......

A red and white checked place mat.....

Bought the yellow doilies in the Michael's Dollar bins.....

I also bought this at Dollar General on Saturday....

And hung it on this side....

I do love how they both look on each side of the sink.....

In this corner on the side of the sink...

 Another Dollar General buy....

I hung it here for now but I am sure I will be using this year round...

The canister set is from Michael's many years ago but I recently moved this vintage scoop over here........

 Remember these....

I added a bumble bee to the florals in my wire tea cup along with a wooden hen and placed an egg tray that some Easter eggs came in behind it....

The cookie jar is an after Christmas sale item from Target....

I wrote this on this vintage chalkboard that was my neighbor Elly's and hung it above the toaster...

It is actually funny because we never eat Breakfast....

Another Home Interiors picture covered with a Dollar Tree place mat....

And one more item that I bought at Dollar General....

This wreath started out as an Egg Wreath bought on Clearance one Easter at Michael's....

I added flowers to it a few years ago , make a new bow for it this year and added the sign from Dollar General to the center of it........

I kept up the Beverage Bar that I created at Christmas time....

I changed it up from how I had it at Easter time...

I cut one of the yellow and white place mats that I bought at Boscovs last year to add a pop of color on the red shelving....

Some vintage items filled with coffee and tea bags....

One of those yellow and white checked place mats placed underneath a red and white one....

Left out my chocolate spoons and stir sticks....

Hung this place mat that Joe bought on a whim from Ollies a few months back on the fridge using magnets....

All vintage items on this shelf....

All were my late neighbor Elly's...

 Love that vintage coffee mug!!

And this is where we will be leaving off this part of the Tour....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on  MONDAY when I will be sharing the final part of the Tour of my Kitchen decorated for Late Spring/Early Summer....

I will be sharing the top of the fridge and the counter bar area.....

I hope you have been enjoying the Tour of my Kitchen!!!
