UPDATE
I will be posting on MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY until Easter
I will do this so I can get all my Easter posts done before Easter which is on the 9th....
On Monday, April 10, I will go back to posting twice a week....
Easter sort of crept up on me in regards to posting my decorations....
Today, I will be sharing Part Two of my Dining Room decorations for Easter...
In my last post, I shared the Buffet set up for an Easter Bunny Tea and the Easter decorations on the Hutch and small Curio....
I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, Changing Seasons and Crafting, as one of her features from last week's Share Your Style Link Party!!
And also Thanks
to Katherine, over at Katherine's Corner, for choosing the same post ,
Changing Seasons and Crafting, as one of her features from last week's
Thursday Favorite Things Party!!
I also want to Thank
Dee, over at Grammy's Grid, for choosing my post, Easter Trees and Bunny Land in the Living Room, as one of her features from the last
Unlimited Linky Party!!
Please stop by and link up to these lovely parties!!!
A few Personal Notes...
I made this Cheese Burger Casserole this past week...
I got the recipe again from a FB video...
HERE is the link to this video....
We really liked it and I even got an "okay" out of Joe which is more than what he usually will comment on any type of food....
I also made this rice and chicken bake casserole....
Again from the same FB video site...
HERE is a link to the video....
Instead of rotisserie chicken, I used a package of super thinly sliced chicken breasts from Sam's Club, cutting them in small pieces, frying them in olive oil with Chicken Griller seasoning sprinkled on them....
Instead of using French Onion Soup Mix which we do not like, I used Savory Herb and Garlic Soup Mix and I also added some mozzarella cheese to the rice mixture, not just using it on top....
With this dish, I even got a "Good" out of Joe!!!
A miracle for sure as he is so darn PICKY with food anymore....
This is a slightly different take on the basic Minute Rice and Chicken 15 minute Dinner that I have made stove top for over 40 years....
We had the grand pups overnight because Jim and Danielle went to NYC for the day on her Birthday...
The older Faye gets, she seems to get more cuddly!!
Curled up in a ball on the chair with G Pop!!
I already mentioned in my last post that I shared half of the Dining Room decorations so we will start here in this corner by the Living Room....
After taking the 7 foot pencil thin Tree that stood here for Christmas and Valentine's Day down to our storage shed, I brought back the round table that normally is here for the remainder of the year...
It is actually a really ugly plant stand that I picked up on clearance at Ollies and I simply place a glass table round on top of....
It is also great to use for storing things underneath it....
I actually use all my round tables that have tablecloths that go to the floor for storage...
I placed a hunter green tablecloth, followed by a smaller rose colored one and then a table topper that I made from a tablecloth on top of it...
The runner, that I also made, for the buffet, matches it...
I use a pink Tree that I bought many years ago in Walmart after Christmas at 75% off....
It cost a mere $5!
Well, when I got it out and plugged it in to check the lights, not only did the lights that were on it not work but the pink light set that I added to it also no longer worked...
So I had to take all the lights off of it, cut the ones that were on it when I bought it off and then added one set of Easter Egg lights and 2 sets of Easter pastel colored ligths to it....
And then , I was able to decorate it!!
I hung a few Easter signs on the window divider....
I had embellished these Dollar Tree ones last year...
On a pedestal beside the Tree is a macrame Easter Basket that my Mother gifted me a very long time ago!!!
I placed the Dollar Tree Bunny that I "dabbled" with inside of it along with some faux chocolate eggs and a bunny!!
You
may remember that I made a few Bunny Butt ornaments for the larger Tree
in the Living Room, using these sweet felt Bunny Butts that I bought in
Dollar Tree....
Since this is a much smaller Tree, I just added a ribbon as a hanger to these....
This year, I decided to leave out the sparkly white baby's breath picks that I use on the pencil thin Tree for Christmas and Valentine's Day and tuck them into this Tree....
I used 2 different ribbons for the bow on top of the Tree....
Lots of egg ornaments....
And some smaller Easter ornaments that I picked up over many years.....
Even a few hand crafted crosses that I bought at a year sale.....
Underneath the Tree....
Bunnies, eggs and an egg box that I embellished....
I used the larger pink ones here under the Tree....
Next to the Tree on a marble topped plant stand inside of a vintage milk glass compote bowl.....
Is a sweet Bunny that a friend gifted me....
In the corner by the Kitchen...
On another marble topped stand is my antique Funeral Basket that I decorate for the different Seasons and Holidays....
Along with pink flowers and pussy willows, I tucked these Bunnies, which were gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie, into the arrangement.....
I also added these flowers that I just bought at Dollar Tree....
On the stand underneath the basket....
Another Dollar Tree sign that I embellished hangs from the faux window....
On the cabinet that my Dad made to match Joe's Grandmother's Dining Room furniture that we inherited....
Bunnies that were gifted to me by a friend!!
Inside an antique crystal compote bowl.....
I changed the lamp shades on the chandy to my Spring/Summer ones and only hung an Egg thingie from the center.....
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the small changes and crafts I did this year.....
I sure had fun decorating this room....
Easter Tree Count
Tree # 4
In my next post on MONDAY, I will start the Tour of my Kitchen decorated for Easter...
I will be doing that in 2 posts starting with my favorite wall in the Kitchen....
My Kitchen Easter Tree...
And the "window" area...
Plus more Crafting....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY !!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
