I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

A few Personal Notes...

Years ago when I bought new aqua drapes for the Living Room for the Spring/Summer, I bought extra panels so I could make valances to match them....

I had some left over fabric and I thought I would make pillows from them...

Well, I am glad that I didn't because today, I made envelope pillow covers instead for pillow forms....

I was able to make 3 pillow covers from the left over fabric.....

I figured out how to cut them pieces out using the hemmed side of the panels so I did not have to finish off the envelope area of the pillow cover....

It saved a lot of time....

Now I finally have a few pillows to match my Spring/Summer drapes.....

I did a bit of shopping at J.C. Penney's which is holding Winter Clearance sales....

I needed to buy some new clothes for next Winter because almost all of my clothes are too big on me....

With a $10 Reward and Buy One, Get One Free on all Pink Ticketed items....

I only paid $53 for these 10 items of Clothing!!!

4 sweaters, 3 mock turtlenecks, 2 tops and this blazer.....

It was originally $120 and I bought it for $8.49!!!

I think I did pretty good....

Today, I am going to finish up my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Easter....

As I mentioned in my last post, I decorated the Kitchen for Easter in a red, yellow and orange color theme......

We will start where I last left off....

Here in the corner....

On top of a cookie jar, sits a wire tea cup....

On top of the berry ring, I placed a yellow chick and an Easter box, eggs and some cotton picks.....

Last year, I changed this sign that was bought at Big Lot's at 90% off.....

Into this....

Hanging on the Kitchen cabinet door.....

Is a sign I made using an embroidery hoop a few years back....

Hanging on the cabinet door handles are 2 pot holders with Easter bunny ornaments that I embellished....

At Christmas, I created this Beverage Bar in the corner....

I used these shelves and pieces of wood I had in my stash.....

This gave me a lot more room.......

I like the configuration so I am keeping it here......

This is how I arranged it for Spring....

I still drink Hot Chocolate through out the year along with my flavored Coffee and Tea's.....

I bought this Bottle Cap sign a few years ago....

Instant Coffee is kept in the large glass jar....

Tea bags and loose leaf tea and 2 glass jars filled with flavored coffees along with a vintage Lipton's Tea tin.....

Tea bags are kept in a vintage green enamel cup and a yellow enamel container....

 Underneath the shelf.....

Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate mixes are kept in a red enamel container along with flavored coffees in a huge mug with "Cozy" written on it....

On a yellow gold place mat...

On a marble turntable are bowls of sweetener, coffee creamers and chocolate wafers to use in coffee or hot chocolate.....

Over against the refrigerator.....

Easter refrigerator magnets that my Mother bought for me when I was first married.....

Dollar Tree coffee mugs filled with peppermint sticks and spoons along with chocolate spoons....

A vintage Cocoa container and a vintage Tea container......

 Easter Bunnies.....

Red and yellow coffee mugs....

I may keep it looking like this into the Summer...

Keeping with the color theme, I put out my Rooster and Hen rugs....

On top of the refrigerator.....

The plastic yellow bunny was mine as a child....

"Carrots" I made from cones....

I added the striped carrots from Dollar Tree this year to this arrangement that I did in this yellow Easter bucket...

I hung an ornament that I made from the lamp shade....

And a cute bunny with a yellow ribbon bow....

Over by the counter bar.....

I hung an Easter garland above the counter bar...

My friend Anne Marie gifted it to me.....

I embellished it with red ribbon flowers......

I added it to my Summer garland....

A vintage paper mache egg in a vintage yellow fiesta ware tea cup.....

A red and yellow runner....

I made the curtain from a tablecloth....

Joe keeps his goodies...potato chips and chocolate chip cookies.... in the basket....

On the side of the counter bar....

2 signs that I embellished and painted....

A Carrot cone that I made last year....

I had also made valances....

I hung an egg ornament that I embellished from the rod....

I hope you enjoyed my Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Easter and the different things I embellished and crafted....

Easter Tree Count

Tree # 6

And that is the total number of Tree I have decorated for Easter!!!!

On FRIDAY in my next post, I will be sharing how I decorated the outside of Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, for Easter.....

A few Easter decorations in the hall.....

And in the Powder Room.....

And some more Easter crafts....

  6. You have so many adorable spring/Easter touches in the kitchen and I like the idea of keeping your beverage bar going year round. What great deals and finds with those JCPenney clothes too. I wish our local store was still open- it was a lot of fun to wander around and browse.

  8. WOW, you got quite the load for $53! That is pretty amazing. I am in love with the phone in your kitchen, I had wanted one that hangs on the wall like yours, but we ended up with one that sits on the counter. I enjoy hearing that brrrringggg noise every time it rings!
