And now for a few Personal Notes...

 Food of the Week.....

I realized that I still had a ring of Kielbasi in the freezer from Christmas...

After watching our Local TV show Home and Back Yard where they featured a Food Truck that specialized in Polish food, I decided to make Kielbasi Hoagies like they showed on the program....

This was Joe's, with mozzarella cheese and fried onions....

He only wanted one for his dinner before he went to work.....

Joey had 2 for dinner, minus the onions as he will not eat them because of the texture......

I can no longer eat kielbasi so I heated up a ground chuck burger that was left from Sunday's dinner and topped it with bacon cheese that Joe bought from the Amish Farmer, mushrooms and like a White House Slider, fried onions.....

I topped it off with a bit of MayoChup!!

Joe went to Sam's Club and came home with a case of this....

Cheetos Mac" N Cheese!!!!

Joey and I had this and it was really very good!!

Who knew!!!

We did not get the Reheat and Eat Dinners this week from the Wilkes barre Scranton Pens Food Service as there was nothing that really caught our interest and we will be treating my Niece and Great Nieces to the Hockey Game tonight so that means that I do not eat before I go out anywhere or while I am out anywhere.....

The Joy of having IBS....

Joe did bring home a dinner that Chef Steve made for the Team.....

General Tso's Chicken and Lo Mein Noodles.....

This will be Joey's dinner on Thursday!!

I love that the Sun has finally swung around to the front of our house in the evenings because I am now able to get some pictures of the Sunset again.....

This was the other evening....

Without the leaves on the trees, I can see the actual Sunset over on the mountains.....

I had planned on starting my paver project in the back yard this week but it has been and will remain, a rainy week here so I tabled it until next week when we are predicted to have temps. in the 60's and maybe reaching 70....

I can do without the 70's if I will be doing hard scaping and probably I will then be sweating like a pig!!

I will be enlarging our patio and refiguring the walkway to our shed in the back of the yard.....

Right now , the back yard looks terrible as there are holes all over because the squirrels are digging it apart!!

So here is my plan....

This walkway will be straightened out instead of being staggered the way it is now....

I have tripped too many times on my way to the shed...

The area to the right will be dug out and the patio extended with pavers that I got from my neighbor last year.....

Pavers will be placed on each side of where this umbrella base is, extending the Patio....

And I will lay pavers to the left so that this umbrella base will be on pavers instead of in the mulch..

I am sure my back will be broken , along with every fingernail I have, when I am finished ,,,,

Which is why I don't, and never will, get a manicure....

Any perennials that I have to dig up in this process will be transplanted down in the flower bed where our mail boxes are at the entrance to our Court where they removed the large arborvitae last year....

Looks like I have my work cut out for me!!

We are finally getting to see some signs of Spring.....

The forsythias in my neighbor Khalid's yard, and the small one in my yard, have buds on them that are starting to open....

The small one in my yard...

You can still see the back of Lowe's to the left in the picture as the trees have no leaves on them yet....

As I mentioned in my previous posts, I have been going through and cleaning and organizing my Craft Room and closets in the Craft Room, Sitting Room and my Bedroom....

I already went through my 3 closets of clothes , realizing that I have more clothes than I will ever wear in my life time , even after donating 3 bags to the Soup Kitchen last Fall.....

What I was thinking is beyond me especially since I wore Scrubs every day to work.....

I am embarrassed by it and realize what a waste of money it was....

I did also realize that even though I went through all of my stash of crafts last year, I still have things that I do not see me using and I also have doubles and triples of things...

Yesterday, I was on FB with my friend Angela, who I sent 3 boxes of craft supplies to last year, and showed her a few things that I thought she could use....

I will be shipping another box of fabric, small woods and other goodies to her once again.....

I have to wrap things up nicely and get it all packaged before shipping it out to Ohio...

I would rather gift it to someone who will use it and appreciate it than sell or donate it.....

Speaking of Crafts.....

I have been working on a few things up in my Craft Room...

What I  have finished thus far is this Can of Carrots....

I can not claim credit for this as I was inspired by a picture on Pinterest.....

 Source: Pinterest

My version....

I painted a tin can orange and adhered a piece of burlap that I wrote on with a marker to the can using spray adhesive....

I made carrots out of clothes pins and mini holly garland that I had...

I used the same mini garland on my "Carrot" Eggs that I shared in my last post....

I made Bunny "Ears" out of wire...

I used a styrofoam ball, covered it with cotton balls to create the Bunny "Butt"and made paws out of felt....

I also added flowers from my stash....

This cost me nothing as I had everything in my stash...

I also saw the carrots made from clothes pins on Pinterest.....

What would bloggers do without Pinterest??????

I am working on a few more Carrot projects so stay tuned....

I also made anther Easter wreath which started out as an epic FAIL.....

I wanted to use up an abundance of Easter ribbon that I had left over when I made wreaths to sell so I thought I would do another wreath like this one I made in the Fall......

Well, I guess I did not have enough ribbon because there were spaces all over....

So I took it all apart and tried it on a smaller grave vine type wreath.....

Failed again....

Not enough ribbon....

Even though I used 8 rolls...

So I put my Thinking Cap on, as my mother used to say, and remembered that I had a Bunny Face in my stash left over from when I sold wreaths....

And this is what I came up with.....

The Bunny Face, bought years ago at Dollar Tree, fit perfectly inside the wreath....

And after moving all the ribbon to the bottom, the ears fit nicely in the empty space!!

I used Easter ribbon and solid orchid and yellow ribbon.....

I hung it in the hall way....

I will be sharing more of this area in my next post.....

You may remember that I had Joe buy this Easter Cross made from palms....

I added some ribbon roses from my stash to it and displayed it here.....

The Bunny was gifted to me by my Mother many years ago....

And you also may remember that I changed this sign that Joe bought on Clearance in Big Lot's for 90% off.....

In to this to go with my Kitchen Easter colors of red, orange and yellow.....

Well, he had bought 2!!

I dabbled just a little bit with the second one.....

More in my next post when I share my Home Tour.....

I also have some New Buys to share.....

After seeing these signs advertised on FB in Ollie's, I sent Joe down to buy them!!

Ollies is also right down the road from us....

I loved the shovel motiff....

Not sure if I will use them inside or outside yet....

They were only $4.99....

And since I do use a lot of mini flags and some of mine were fading from the Sun, I told Joe to buy a few more at $3.99 each!!

I think he did a good job!!!

 These are nice and bright!!!

I mentioned in my last post that I would be sharing my Easter/Spring Home tour......

I lied!!

Well, not really.....

I am sharing Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, all decked out for Spring and Easter!!!!

If you have visited here before, you know I love to decorate the outside of Nelson Crest for the different Holidays and Seasons, just like I do with the rest of my house!!

Bunny Land has arrived at Nelson Crest....

And so has Spring with the bushes in the side yards blooming....

The balcony off the Master Bedroom.....

Bunnies and Eggs on the railing...

I also did a bit of crafting for Nelson Crest and made Easter wreaths for the doors.....

I used mini garland and glued a bunny figure, a bow and a ribbon flower to it.....

On the left side.......

Bunnies and eggs....

The Front Porch...

Fresh milk and eggs have just been delivered....

I also made this wreath for the front door....

Bunnies and lanterns on the steps....

Even an Easter basket has been left for Rose, the Nelson's daughter....

Eggs do grow on trees here at Nelson Crest....

The right side of the yard....

The right side yard...

  1. You know I love the Nelson Crest holiday updates! It is such a beautiful doll house. Your kielbasa looks delicious. I am not too sure about the mac and cheese, lol. You sure do find great crafting values! I keep dumping old barely worn work clothing too. I swear it just multiplies in my closet.

  5. Looks like you're eating good in your neighborhood! And I love that your forsythia are starting. I think they are here, too -- with all the rain, you can't say they are dried out! It'll be interesting to follow the patio. Have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Debbie: You sure are planning a big job, but it will look so nice when you are through. Everything looks so festive and pretty as usual. That is so nice of you to gift your extra craft stuff to your friend. Be careful about who you ship it with. I had a box between small and medium that didn't weigh too much and I took it to UPS to ship to Illinois. They wanted to charge me $99 for shipping. I about fell off my feet! I finally took it to the post office and it was $12, which was still a little much but better. They are making it hard to survive in this world now..Happy Weekend..xxoJudy
