In my previous post, I shared my Easter Kitchen Tree and Hutch....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....
And now for a few Personal Notes...
Food of the Week
Last week, we got a call from the Amish Farmer that he would be back at Valley Mart down the street from us every Friday this Summer again.....
I guess they will not be tearing down our Valley Mart until the Fall and replacing it with a brand new Sheetz....
Joe stopped by on Friday and bought 2 loaves of Banana Bread for $3.50 each and some bacon cheese ...
I was dying for a good piece of breaded haddock last week.....
This Friday, Joe picked up 2 dinners at Price Chopper.....
I got my haddock dinner.....
The haddock was under the fries....
This dinner was only $7.99!!
Joe got the scallop dinner.....
He got a decent amount of scallops....
For only $8.99.....
Joey got a rotisserie turkey breast for $8.99
He had already filled his plate when I took this picture.....
He also had some Bob Evan's Mac and Cheese....
All were delicious and is something that we will get again!!
On Saturday, I made up 2 packages of Pulled Chicken......
It was very good.....
We also had a bacon topped pizza from Price Chopper for $4.99!!
A few new Buys......
I had Joe pick up a Palm cross for me at Malacari's, a local place for only $7.99...
I will be sharing what I did with and where I put this cross in my next post....
Joe can not resist a Clearance sale and bought these at Big Lot's for 90% off!!!!
All for $1.26!!!!
I have been cleaning and re-organizing the Craft Room for most of the week and I am almost finished and should get it all done today!!
Now I see all that I have again so I may be passing some things on to others again....
I had a lot of fun decorating the Kitchen for Easter this year as I added a few new things and got to do a bit of crafting!!!
We will start where I left off in the Kitchen.....
I kept with a red, yellow and orange color scheme for Easter in here.....
Above the stove.....
You may remember a few posts back I shared how I changed this sign.....
Into this......
Well, I embellished it a bit more and added some flowers and a bow......
And hung it here.....
I hung an Easter towel from the grater planter.....
More towels on the bar on the stove...
I tucked some red geraniums into the canister that holds the rolling pins....
On the side of the stove.....
The sink area....
I do want to show you 2 new towels that I bought.....
I ordered them from Boscov's in the Fall.....
I use a French Country Rooster/Hen theme in the Kitchen during non-Holiday times.....
Where my Kitchen window used to be before we made our patio into another room......
As I have said many times, I still treat it as if it was a window.....
After I took down the Winter swag, I hung a swag of flowers above my sign....
On the side of the cabinets....
A plaque I made using a pot holder....
I embellished this plaque that Joe bought last year at Big Lot's for 90% off by adding a bow.....
I painted these birdhouses a long time ago but the chick hanging on the valance is new.....
I ordered the wood chick cut outs from Amazon and painted them, using most of them on my Kitchen Easter Tree...
2 years ago, I made "carrots" from these......
I bought them at a hardware store and used them as ornaments on the Kitchen Easter Tree....
This year, I decided to hang some of them from the tea cup chandy that I made a long time ago.....
I also hung a sweet Bunny from the chandy.....
I also hung this sweet angel, that was gifted to me by a former co worker, in the center.....
On the other side of the cabinets...
Yes, Joe had bought 2 bunnies on clearance!!
The Egg was made by my MIL and says "Happy Easter" in Polish.....
I bought a bag of hand made Ukrainian Pysanky Eggs at a Church Flea Market for $3.00
Even though Joe grew up Roman Catholic, he went to a Byzantine Catholic Grade School as it was literally right in his back yard....
He and the other students
made Pysanky eggs for weeks before Easter for the Nuns to sell.....
He was an alter boy at both churches!!!
In keeping with my red, yellow and orange color scheme for Easter, I used chicks and 2 more of the "carrots" that I made.....
We have a large Ukranian population in our area and Pysanky egg making classes are frequently taught in the area....
If you want to read about Pysanky Eggs, please click HERE
In the corner of the counter....
I just tucked a few egg picks and an Easter card with a yellow chick on it into the existing berry ring inside the wire tea cup......
Again, you may remember that I took this sign that Joe bought last year for 90% off at Big Lot's
And changed it into this.....
Once again, I could not leave it alone and I added a bit more to it!!!
I hung it here....
Also in a previous post, I shared how I re-worked this hoop that I made a few years ago.....
To now look like this.....
It matches the valance....
Just a few changes to my Beverage Bar area......
I had a little fun with this chalkboard...
The day after I put it up , I asked Joe how he liked his "eggcelent" cofee that he made since it is his responsibility to make the coffee the night before ever since he told me I dd not make it right.....
He NEVER saw the sign!!!!!!
Did I ever mention that it took him 2 weeks to notice that I painted our Living Room peach from white a few years ago???????
And people ask me what he thinks of the decorating I do.....
I am sure he never even notices it!!!!
LOL!!
I changed out the place mat from the Winter bird one....
And added a Bunny!!
My mugs are Campbell's Soup ones and 2 Las Vegas mugs that were gifted to us by my son Jim and DIL, Danielle, for watching little Faye when they went on vacation.....
kept the red, yellow and orange color scheme.....
An arrangement I did in an Easter galvanized planter that I bought in Micheal's for 90% off......
These refrigerator magnets, that were gifted to me by my Mother, have graced my fridge for many an Easter......
The counter bar.....
You can see just how small this area is.....
I needed more counter space in my small Kitchen so I designed this and had it built by a friend who used to be my handy man......
My Laundry display on this side of the counter bar.....
I put up the shelf, which used to be up in one of my son's rooms, myself to hold my Collection of vintage and vintage styled kitchen items.....
I created another faux window where the pass through into the Dining Room is....
Again, I treat it like a window.....
I took down the evergreen garland that I had hanging here for Christmas and Winter....
And hung a geranium garland that I intertwined with a feed sack garland that I bought many years ago before the whole Farmhouse craze took hold........
I bought my "Gallery" sign at Red Lobster when they decided to hold a yard sale in their parking lot while remodeling!!
The larger feed sacks on the sides are ornaments....
The Dining Room is to the left and the hall and Powder Room is to the right....
Before I go any further, I want to share a craft that I did.....
I was inspired by fellow Blogger and Crafting You Tube Guru, Kippi from Kippi At Home!!
She showcased making these in a video....
I had a bunch of styrofoam eggs in my stash so I painted them.....
I then glued some mini holly ( Christmas) ivy garland that I cut to the tops....
I had bought this mini egg carrier at Michael's several years ago so I decided to use that....
I had saved packing material from a package I received so I tucked it into the empty sections ...
I placed a yellow egg in the center to stabilize the "carrot" eggs.....
I am thrilled with how it came out...
Thanks so much for the inspiration, Kippi!!!!
So where did I put it??????
On top of red mercury glass candle sticks are a pair of vintage yellow fiesta ware teacups and saucers with vintage styled paper mache eggs in them.....
Since I already had all my displays done in the Kitchen, I decided to put it here on the pass through....
On top of red mercury glass candle sticks are a pair of vintage yellow fiesta ware teacups and saucers with vintage styled paper mache eggs in them.....
And the egg carrier is resting on a candle holder....
So were the teacups and saucers.....
I replaced the Winter runner with a runner gifted to me by Trish, who owns the house next door.....
Her friend Desiree recently lost both parents and they were cleaning out their house and they thought of me, gifting me these hand made runners.....
They are reversible with solid backs....
I used this bright green one.....
I think the color is perfect for Easter in my Kitchen!!!
I placed the lamp, that was my neighbor Elly's, on a yellow fiesta ware platter that was also hers....
So were the teacups and saucers.....
On the other side....
I made the cafe curtain for the bottom of the counter bar from the same tablecloth as the valances....
I made the cafe curtain for the bottom of the counter bar from the same tablecloth as the valances....
I used my orange and rust colored Hen rugs for Easter but will change to my red ones after Easter....
On this side of the counter bar....
This sign looked like this last Easter over by the Beverage bar....
I embellished it a tad more this year....
And you may remember that I took this one....
And made it look like this....
I hung it here....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......
Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
And I do have a thing for hanging curtains and valances not on windows like the Victorians did.....
The red and white checked valances and cafe curtain will remain up until after July 4th because they remind me of the Summer Picnics and BBQ's for the Patriotic Summer Holidays....
After that, I will be changing them out for a different theme I have planned for late Summer in the Kitchen.....
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Kitchen decorated for Easter this year with a few changes that I really had fun doing.....
In my next post, I will be sharing my Easter/Spring Home Tour for 2022 including Nelson Crest decorated for Easter......
And hopefully, a few more crafts that I am working on!!
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on Wednesday for a new post!!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

I love your Easter Kitchen. I usually think of pastels when I am thinking of Easter, but I really like how you took "your" colors and made it your own - and still kept the total feeling of Easter. Your special project with the eggs is outstanding! The eggs and basket are just a wonderful addition and so creative.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter kitchen you have. I didn't do as much this year but I did put a few things out and a wreath for the door. Love your eggs, great idea and looks so neat in the wooden basket. I love bacon cheese. It is so good on grilled burgers. Breakfast sandwiches too.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen is dressed in all of its Easter finery. You have so much energy in order to do all of your decorating. I enjoyed my visit, Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much going on in your charming kitchen. Love the teensy chicks and yellow bunnies sprinkled throughout! Love it all, and golly I wish it was Spring outside! LOL. Sandi
ReplyDeleteI like the happy hens sign. 😊 Very cute.

Great job on the kitchen Easter decor! I love that you broke away from the traditional spring and Easter colors. I think your "carrot eggs" turned out cuter than the inspiration eggs. The ivy was perfect for them. Thanks for sharing on Happiness is Homemade & Crafty Creators at LifeasaLEOWife.com!
