Bunny Tea Buffet, Early Spring Front Porch and a Double Rainbow!!!

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Just a reminder, I will be posting on Wednesdays and Sundays every week so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Happy First Day of Spring!!

Today, I will be sharing the buffet in my Dining Room set up for a Bunny Tea.....

My very Early Spring Front Porch...

and a Double Rainbow!!

In my last post, I shared the 3rd Easter Tree in my Living Room and the rest of the decorations in that room....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

And now, a few Personal Notes...

Food of the Week

For Friday, we got potato pancakes from one of the local churches......

 So good!!

 Can't beat the price...A BUCK a piece!!!

Joe also picked up a pizza from Price Chopper and I added some mushrooms to it.....

Today, we will be celebrating our DIL Danielle's 40th Birthday ( March 23) with our traditional pizza party.....

We are looking forward to a family get together and having the pups come and visit us!!!

When the boys were young, in addition to a little party with their friends, we would celebrate on the actual day of their Birthday's by having them pick where they wanted to go out to eat for dinner that day....

Chi Chi's and Ground Round were always favorite's until they both closed....

As everyone got older, ordering Take Home became the thing as no one wanted to have to get dressed up and go out to a restaurant as we were working all different shifts....

And pizza seemed to be what everyone wanted so a Birthday tradition was born!!!

The Birthday person gets to pick where we order the pizza from and what kind of pizza they want....

Danielle has picked a pepperoni and bacon Silician pizza and a Taco Silician pizza !!

Joey is getting boneless chicken bites as he does not like lettuce which will be on the Taco pizza and we do an ice cream cake anymore as we are not big baked goods eaters.....

Hopefully, I will remember to take some pictures of the food....

You know I will take pics of the pups!!

We have been having some very warm weather, even came close to breaking records.....

On Saturday, I took advantage of the nice weather before the rains came.....

Joe had already taken the sleds from the outside that I left up as Winter decorations down to our storage shed on Friday......

I also packed up the Winter wreaths and slates on Friday.....

I took down and packed away the Winter garlands and Joe threw out the live greenery that he cut from the trees on the side of our road to fill my pots for the Winter.....

I don't have a lot of outside Spring decorations because the weather here in NEPA is very fickle in the Spring where it can snow one day and have record breaking warm temps. the next day...

After all, this is what it looked like here last Saturday!!

What a difference a week makes but it could be snowing again next weekend....

I swept up the front porch and Joe brought one of the chairs up from our storage shed for now.....

It looks so bare without all the greenery and garlands....

I hung a Spring wreath that I made a few years ago on the front door.....

I hung a Spring plaque....

I bought it for $1.00 at a church Flea Market 3 years ago.....

I still have out the Winter Tools of the Trade.....

Shovels, Ice Chopper and Snow Broom for the car.....

I hung this flag as it matched the color of the wreath on the front door...

The flower bed under the Living Room window.....

It will be some time until I can fill my pots and planters with flowers.....

At least not until after Mother's Day will we be free from the threat of frost....

I will be looking forward to seeing how the azaleas that we cut down last Summer will do in the Spring....

Slowly, we will be working on getting the front yard mulched and cleaned up.....

The rain held off until the evening and then Thunderstorms moved in because it was so warm, reaching 72 degrees!!!!!

The storm clouds, taken from our front porch....

The VA Hospital.....

Then the skies cleared and Lo and Behold, a double rainbow!!!!!

 A double rainbow is rare!!!

And I had a bird's eye view.....

One of the rainbows was starting to fade.....

And then it seemed like a bunch of pillow like clouds moved in.....

When the Sun was setting....

It looked like a line of fire over on the mountains.....

You can see the Barnes and Nobles sign in the Shopping Center next to us.....

The Sun is just about making it around to the front of our row of townhouses now so I will soon be able to see the Sun setting in the evenings from the front porch again!!!

March 19th is the Feast Day of Saint Joseph....

It is tradition to wear red on this day which is celebrated by the people of Poland and Italy....

If you would like to read about such celebrations, click HERE and HERE

Even though they were celebrating Saint Patrick's Day at the Hockey game on Saturday evening, Joe chose to wear this red jersey, celebrating Saint Joseph's Day.....

Both of us are getting hair cuts on Monday as you can see he is in desperate need of one!!!

I am pleased to say that I have finished my Easter decorating except for Nelson Crest.....

Today, I will be sharing the buffet in the Dining Room.....

It is a little different this year as I decided to leave the LED branch Tree here on the buffet this year...

Other years, I moved this Tree back into the Living Room after having it here on the buffet for Christmas and Winter......

This year I decided to keep the small Tree up in the living Room and decorate it for Easter...

So I kept this Tree here...

I decorated it with egg ornaments and pink carrots.....

For several years, I have decorated this buffet for an Easter Tea....

So I am not going to go into great detail...

Now what proper Lady would attend a Spring Tea without her gloves....

The Eater Bunny box was bought at the Christmas Tree Shop a long time ago...

I was gifted this sweet Bunny and his mate ....

A Bunny mug....

On the Home Interiors shelf above the buffet....

I bought 2 sets of these sweet Bunny plates at Tuesday Mornings a few years ago....

The Bunny Tea Pot was a church Flea Market find....

The pink plates were a yard sale find...

A Bunny creamer set on top of a vintage milk glass plate....

Salt and pepper shakers...

I wove a set of pastel Easter lights throughout the display...

In the evening....

I am really glad that I decided to keep this Tree here for Easter.....

Most people look forward to Day Light Saving Time because of having daylight hours in the evening....

I am a night time person and love how the house looks all lit up with all my ambient lighting.....

The only thing I do like about Daylight Savings Time is that the Sun will not be rising at 4:30 am in the Summer like it would have if we stayed on Standard Time......

5:30 am is bad enough and I am glad that I have room darkening shades on our bedroom windows because of working 37 years of night shift....

I am thrilled that I finished my Easter decorating and still have a full month to sit and enjoy it since Easter is late this year, April 17th!!

I took my time and even got to do a bit of crafting during the process....

So before I continue sharing the Dining Room all decked out for Easter....

On Wednesday, in my next post, I will be sharing what I did with these Dollar Tree signs for the Dining Room...

And how I made these Big Lot signs, that Joe bought on Clearance last year, fit into my red, orange and yellow Easter color theme for the Kitchen....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on Wednesday to see how Debbie has been "dabbling"!!!!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. Your weather has a lot in common with our weather. We had snow a week ago and by the weekend it was in the 70's. This week will be wet and cool, I think highs in the 50's. Our frost free day is Mother's Day, too, and it is so hard to resist those bright annuals until then. Last year I bought hanging baskets early and had to park them in my kitchen every night. Your pizza parties sound wonderful! I hope your double rainbow brings good luck!

  2. Hi, Debbie. My goodness you have been busy. So many bunnies and eggs, I often wonder where you store all these goodies. The rainbow was gorgeous, how nice to have Mother Nature show us there is hope somewhere at the end of the tunnel of winter...grins, Sandi

  5. Oh my gosh Deb! It is all just so beautiful! If your little bunny teapot disappears... I should definitely be considered a suspect. She is just adorable! I love the porch too. I haven't been able to do a thing to mine with all the snow. I'll get it done this weekend though with 70's in the forecast. Also just adore your evening pictures. It all just looks magical lit up! Happy Spring Deb and thanks so much for the inspiration!

  6. The bunny tea buffet is adorable, and I really like your colorful Easter wreath. That double rainbow was amazing! I'm glad you got a few good photos of it. What a blessing.

  8. Everything looks great! I can't imagine dealing with snow or even cold! Brrr! I can't deal when it gets below 50 lol. I think it's been over 70 for a few months where I live. By mid-April we'll be near 85 as our daily high and 90's by mid May. That was such a beautiful rainbow to catch! I love seeing God's promise to us in the sky. I always wonder if there will be a rainbow as Jesus steps out on a cloud to call God's children up to Him. I know we'll be with Him "in the moment of a twinkling of an eye" so I don't know if we'll have the chance to look, ha! I probably will be too excited to pay much attention to that anyway. I think leaving the lighted tree on the buffet looks great! Thanks for sharing on Crafty Creators!

  9. I'm in awe of your Easter decorating, Debbie! It's all so much fun! The potato pancakes and the pizza look so so so good. When my kids were little, Ground Round was a favorite of theirs, too. I remember one time, we had to leave before we even sat down, though, because there was a clown, and my son was terrified of them! Those pictures of the rainbow are fantastic! I would love to have a spring wreath like yours. Our door is still bare. :)

  10. What a beautiful double rainbow! We used to see those a lot when we lived in North Dakota! Now, they are a rarity to see.

Thanks for sharing your pictures at the Sunday Sunshine Blog Hop!

    God bless!
