I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

July 4th Front Porch and Patriotic Summer Home Tour , 2021

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!

Today, I am going to be sharing some Patriotic updates including a quick makeover of my Patriotic Tree, a new wreath that I made, my July 4th Front Porch ....

And My Annual Patriotic Home Tour!!!

But first, I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, A Little Bit of Yellow in the Gardens, June Update, as one of her features from last week's Share Your Style Linky Party!!!

Thanks so much, Barb!!!!

And I also want to Thank Linda, over at Crafts a La Mode, not only for featuring my post, Patriotic Doll House and Sweet Treats, from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Linky Party but also for what she did to the picture of Nelson Crest...

I LOVE what she did!!!!

 Thanks again, Linda!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!!!

Before I start my Patriotic Home Tour for this year, I want to share a few new things that I added to my Patriotic decor since I did the original posts......

I had a senior moment and actually forgot that I had ordered these Military Flags honoring the various branches of the Armed Services after seeing them on a Tree that a friend made for a Veteran......

I want to use them on my Patriotic Tree in the Living Room but the flags only "flew to the right" so to speak......

So I used a seam ripper and removed the white sleeve for the "pole" and hand sewed it to the other side as you can see in the picture above....

There is a Flag for each branch of the Military......

United States Army and United States Coast Guard.....

2 for the United States Air Force......

United States Navy and United States Marines

One for POW's and another one for the United States Army

I added them to my Patriotic Tree in the Living Room.......

I tucked in 4 of these flags on each side of the Tree......

This is what I had in mind when I ordered these but forgot all about....

There have also been a few changes underneath the Tree since I did the original post on it.....

I added the cute Patriotic truck pick from Dollar Tree to the boxwood ball in the urn in the corner.....

Also, I placed the Patriotic Bird House in the middle of a red, white and blue tinsel wreath , again from Dollar Tree.....

The Patriotic Sweet Treats that my friend Angela made and gifted to me.....

 Are now on display here.....

I moved some flags that were on the Tree before the Military flags into this vase.....

Just a few changes.......

I have been quite enamored with the Flag wreaths that I have been seeing every where on blogs and on Pinterest.....

So I also decided to try my hand at making one of my own......

I used a flag tablecloth and simply wrapped it around an old oval grapevine wreath that I had in my stash......

It is held in place by a rubberband!!!

I tucked a small flag into the rubber band and made a bow out of red deco mesh ribbon, also in my stash.....

I wired the bow on......

I like how it looks on an oval wreath and I tied it to the left instead of to the right like all the others that I have seen......

I wanted to be different.......

It is hanging on the door of the Powder Room.....

Next up is my July 4th Front Porch.......

I also added a few things that are new......

I added another set of those Military flags......

This one is a flag for POW's....

A new blow I made from red and blue deco mesh ribbon in my stash.....

Another red and blue bow attached to the light fixture......

Along with one for the top of the tree in the corner of the porch and  2 more flags.....

United States Army and Coast Guard....

Flags for the United States Air Force and Navy.....

I had Joe pick up a new Patriotic Banner for the railing as the 2 paper ones I had previously fell apart.....

 United States Marines.....

The flower bed under the Living Room window......

I am very pleased with how the coleus are growing as I think they doubled in size over night.....

Looking out from the front porch at the flower bed on top of our slope....

My faux mail box......

 My park bench.....

Another new bow for the lantern......

United States Army and Air Force.....

I remembered I forgot to change the flag......

To this one......"America the Beautiful"

We have had rain off and on, light and heavy since Friday so I was thankful to grab these pictures in between the rain drops....

Up next is my annual Patriotic Home tour where a share a few snippets of my posts for this year on my decorations with links to all those posts.....

  3. I love everything. I was making a list of favorites (I know the flag with song lyrics was one); everything is so wonderful and patriotic - oh, the flag on the oval wreath, gorgeous! But my eyes stopped on that red and blue transferware, LOL. Gosh those dishes make my heart go pitter pat. Please don't tell my family, but I think I am going to start stalking the flea markets and Goodwill. I am so in love with them!
