Winter Bird Tree and Hutch in the Kitchen, 2020

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing the Hutch and my Winter Bird Tree in the Kitchen....
But first, I want to Thank Linda, over at Crafts A La Mode, for choosing my post, Winter Front Porch and Yard, from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Linky Party!!
 Thanks so much , Linda!!!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!!

I missed not being able to decorate the Kitchen for Winter last year so I was itching to do so this year!!!

I will be sharing the Kitchen in 2 posts.....

Today I will be sharing this wall in my Kitchen which includes my Winter Bird Tree and the Hutch.....
We will start on this side of the wall......
I changed out the vintage apron with this Valentine's apron.....
I like to use calendars and cards for decor and I cut part of a picture from the calendar to cover the apple tile on this chalkboard......
I also set a Christmas card between the snow men sitting on the ledge.....
This is how my Kitchen Tree looked for Christmas.....
And this is how it looked in the Fall......
I made all the ornaments for this Fall/ Halloween Tree....

I stripped it down and re-decorated it for Winter....
Cardinals have a special meaning for our family.....
I frequently see red cardinals on my back yard in the Summer and I like to think that it is a family member watching over my family....
So the Winter theme in our Kitchen is mainly Cardinals.....

Over the past few years, I bought a lot of cardinal and bird ornaments.....

These were bought in Sears.....
 These are from Dollar Tree.....
I started to re-decorate the Tree by tucking Buffalo snow into the Tree......
And then decorated it with bird houses , the birds and cardinals.....
I also added crocheted snow flakes and red heart ornaments.....
I topped the Tree off with a bow made from cardinal and red plaid ribbon......
Here are a few close ups of the Tree....
I placed a pair of boy's ice skates at the bottom of the Tree.....
Here is the Tree lit up in the evening.....
Several years ago, I bought some dishes at Wegman's on Clearance after Christmas......
The pattern is called Holiday Harlequin......
I thought they were perfect for Winter......

I hung a bow made from a different type of cardinal ribbon and the same red plaid ribbon at the top of the hutch.....
The top shelf.....
I did bring back out some of my regular Kitchen items....
Bottom shelf.....
I just love that black and white harlequin pattern......
The desk part of the hutch, I decorated with red Cardinals......
A few years ago, I found these small red cardinals in Michael's so I glued them to this bottle brush tree.....
The cardinal tea pot, sugar and creamer were also bought at Wegman's on Clearance....

This is another picture from a calendar that I liked and I framed.....
The tea pot did not have a lid but that was no problem as I just tucked a cardinal floral pick into the tea pot.......
I bought this mini cardinal tea set at a flea market.....
I bought this cardinal lantern at Gabes a few years back......
I also tucked a floral pick into the creamer.....
I bought the pretty quilted Bird place mat at Country Folk gifts a few years back.....
Underneath the desk part of the hutch......
On top of a vintage metal picnic basket is another tea pot in the Holiday Harlequin pattern.....
A cardinal, a penguin ( for Joe, hockey, you know) and a sweet snowman holding hearts....
Once again, I cut out the picture of the red bird from a calendar to tape to the black display stand...
Hanging on the side of the hutch is a Valentine's sign......
And over on this side of the wall by the Den......
I also replaced the vintage apron hanging here with a Valentine's apron.....
Joe had bought the Valentine's aprons on Clearance one year at Wegman's for only $3.00 each....
I bought this cute Valentine's sign in Big Lot's.....
Above the door way into the Den, I hung 2 galvanized hearts from the gingerbread fretwork....
And this is where we will leave off for today......

In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of the Kitchen and I will show you the valances and curtain that I made out of this tablecloth that I bought for under $2.00!!!
I have FINALLY finished packing away Christmas, cleaning and re-decorating the Living Room for Valentine's Day........
Now I will be doing the same in the Dining Room and then the downstairs will be devoid of Christmas decorations......

My niece Renae and her girls bought me this lovely cardinal ball for Christmas.....
It fits perfectly in this urn!!

Shortly after my nephew John passed, my niece Renae saw a cardinal on her deck outside......
I love this as it lights up and comes on by timer.....

Did you see it in the corner by my Valentine's Tree in the Living Room?????

i leave up my Winter and Valentine's decor until the end of February since February is American Heart Month.....

I will not be posting for Rudolph's Day over on my Christmas Blog on the 25th of this month as I promised because I have a lot that I want to share here on this blog and I just stopped posting there only about a week ago
But I already have a Rudolph's Day post for February planned.....
