Fairy Garden in a Galvanized Tub, 2018

Welcome!!

Today I will be sharing one of my Fairy Garden tubs that I have out in our back yard Cottage Garden for the Summer......

But first, I want to Thank Kathryn, over at The Dedicated House, for featuring my post, 2 Tea Cup Shelves in the Dining Room, in her Sunday Showcase post as the post who came in at 1st Place for The Most Views from last week's Make It Pretty Party!!!
Thanks so much, Kathryn!!

Please visit and link up to this lovely party!!

And I also want to Thank Cecelia, over at My Thrift Store Addiction, for choosing my post, Rose and Tea Cups, as one of her featured Highlight posts from  the Spring Tea Link Party!!
Thanks so much, Cecelia!!!

Cecelia, co- hosts The Vintage Charm Link Party so please stop by and visit and link up to this charming party!!!

It has been a wet month here in NEPA!!

Last week , we got 5 inches of rain over the week and just on Sunday, we received another 1 1/2 inches of rain!!!!
Usually the sun wrecks havoc in my Cottage Garden when I am trying to take pictures but I enjoyed a rather relaxing evening on Memorial Day after the kids left, sitting out in the back Patio and decided to take a few photos since the Sun had swung around to the front of the house.......

Off the patio in a large galvanized tub on wheels, is one of my Fairy Gardens......
I have had this Fairy Garden in a tub for several years now but this year, I decided to switch things up a bit.......

In a previous post, I shared my Fairy Garden that I set up on the mantle of my faux fire place in the Sitting Room.......
Click HERE if you missed it......

I used a lot of the pieces for this indoor Fairy Garden that I had previously used outside.....

So I decided to head over to Big Lot's to see what was new this year in their Fairy Garden section.......

And here is what I bought....

A new Solar House!!
Some cute brick pathways......
 A darling Dining set.......
And a few more Fairies.........
And here is how it all turned out..........
I don't do a lot of plants in the tub because I found that they tend to take over the entire tub......
So I mainly went with the succulents frequently called, Hens and Chicks.......
They have been planted in this tub for a few years now and I have to thin them out yearly!!!
This Tea Pot house was bought at Big Lot's in the past.....
Green gem stones from Dollar Tree symbolizes grass......
Several Fairies frolic outside.......
Including the new Fairies that I recently bought.....
You can also see the new Dining set and the pathways.......
Here is the new Solar house!!
Blue gem stones also bought at Dollar Tree, symbolize a pond......
You can see more Fairy Garden pieces and Gnomes in the Garden behind the tub.......
But that will be a post for another time....
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Fairy Garden in a Galvanized Tub for this Summer Season.......
Did I mention that the tub is on wheels so it can be moved around???????

I also want to share this pair of Morning Doves that joined me out in the garden that evening.......
They were perched up in my lilac tree.....
Aren't they sweet??????

In my next post, keeping with the Fairy Garden theme, I will be sharing how I decorated the hearth area of my faux fire place in the Sitting Garden......
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

  2. Loving your fairy tale. I have so been wanting to do a little fairy garden with my grands. Maybe this was the inspiration I needed. Love the pictures. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  3. So sweet fairy garden. I want to do one with the grand girls . I used to make them in a crook of a tree or in between the roots. Used flower petals, pine cones to make stepping stones. Fun times.
Ah the rains and you sure have got your share of them I see. What a mess and the mosquitoes are just so plentiful.....
I just want to say that I hope all gets fixed with blogger soon...

  6. Deb, you are so much more ambitious than I am. I had my little fairy garden set up in the little wheelbarrow some time ago and then a squirrel or something tore it up so now I just shut the little fairy door and let them enjoy themselves in the big garden. They do find lots of things to amuse themselves with!! Be glad when this mess gets fixed. It takes more time to answer this way and I don't always get back to the blog, like I do the e-mails, in a timely manner..Happy Weekend..xxoJudy
