I want to show you our front yard today because I finally got to plant my annuals!!
But first, I want to Thank Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for featuring my post The Patio Project, Part 2, from last week's Thusday's Favorite Things Party!!
Thanks so much, Bev!!
Please stop by and link up to this great party!!
We have been having more seasonable weather over the past week with high temps. in the 70's and lows in the 40's and 50's...........
I finally was able to buy and plant my annuals without the fear of frost.......
In my previous post, I shared how the front porch looks now that it is ready for the Summer......
If you missed it, please click HERE.......
Today, we pick up where I left off..........
This is the little flower bed under the Living Room window........
I decided to not spend a lot of money on annuals this year and I did not over plant my pots and flower boxes.........
This is one of 2 flower boxes that are on each side of the flower bed.........
Begonias grow very well here in the front because it is mostly shaded until the end of the day......
I did not want to over plant so I only planted 4 in each flower box.......
The left side of the flower bed......
I planted one marigold in pots bought at Dollar Tree......
I bought this solar lit bird bath at Big Lot's last year.......
2 fairies flank a hosta.......
The right side of the flower bed.......
2 large urns that were destined for the garbage at our church now rest on the wall between our townhouse and my neighbor's.........
I planted 2 orange marigolds, 2 yellow marigolds and 2 begonias in each of these urns.......
Again, I am staying with the color theme of red, orange and yellow for the front porch and front yard.......
Fairies sit on the sidewalk by the flower bed.......
In between the urns is the other flower box........
Planted with red begonias......
Since most of my front yard is a large slope........
I only have a small flower bed that runs the length of our house in the front.......
You can see that the rhododendron is in full bloom.....
Another fairy sits on the sidewalk.....
1 begonia is planted in the pot inside of this bicycle planter.......
Aren't the blooms on this rhododendron beautiful????
My chippy angel that I bought many years ago at Target after Christmas......
My fake mail box......
The pot underneath it is planted with 1 begonia....
The lamp post and park bench........
The white azalea is just about done blooming.........
2 deer rest beneath it........
Joe bought the rabbit holding a carrot at Wegman's on clearance after Easter this year.......
I love the decorate this park bench that I bought at Big Lot's several years ago.........
2 marigolds and 2 begonias are planted in the larger pot.....
And 1 begonia is planted in the smaller one......
Underneath the bench......
"Angels Gather Here" is written on the stepping stone between the angel and the doggie angel.......
The "Our Beloved Pet" stone is in memory of our fur babies......
These deer were bought a few years ago at Wegman's after Christmas......
A sweet fairy......
And that is what our front yard looks like now.......
I will be sharing how all the flowers are growing through out the season........
Next, I will be sharing my Summer Patriotic decorations.........
And my 3 Patriotic trees!!!
So I hope you will come back to visit soon........

Looks like you're ready for Memorial Day, Debbie! We are still having too much rain to do much outdoor work. . .which has me pretty bummed because I have several dahlias that I need to get in the ground. Hoping it dries out enough this weekend!
ReplyDeleteEverything is just beautiful, love the fairy's all over the garden too, the two together are just so sweet!

ReplyDeleteYour front flower beds are just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing @Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, your front yard is an absolute DREAM! You have a gorgeous yard and such an eye. I have a giant rhododendron that looks just like your's right now. All the bees are going wild. Your bird bath and flower urns add so much charm. I plant on a slope just like you and let out a huge sigh of joy when I saw how lovely you have made yours. I know planting on a slope can be a challenge, but whatever creeping plant that is (phlox?) is just breathtaking! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Dishing It & Digging It and have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI love all of the adorable deer statues! Omgosh, I definitely need to get some of those. All of your flowers are simply stunning as well. Very gorgeous garden. Thanks so much for sharing it with us at Merry Monday this week!
