Blogging has always been a stress reliever for me along with an avenue to share my passions which are my home and my garden.....

feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin
Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I
was....

And now for a few Personal Notes...
For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....
On THURSDAYS,
I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local
cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...
I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....
On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...
THURSDAY is when I share food that I have eaten or something new I made.....
Last Saturday, I went to a local church flea market mainly because they had food trucks....
Ethnic food here in NEPA is big and that means Polish food....
I bought potato pancakes and haluski from a well known Polish Food Truck called Yogi's........
Haluski is cabbage and noddles and this was delicious....
I was able to eat it without having to take my IBS medication because it did not have a lot of cabbage which was fine by me....
The potato pancakes were very flavorful with lots of onion and garlic and tasted close to what my Dad used to make....
I buy Pulled Pork from Sam's Club and we had it on buns for one dinner....
I decided to look up recipes for some sort of casserole on Pinterest to use pulled pork in and I found several BBQ Pulled Pork Cheese Bakes
I picked and chose ingredients from a few recipes and made my own combination of cheese, pasta, pulled pork and BBQ sauce ...
It came out pretty good as Joey ate 2 bowls full!!
Today, I am sharing more of my upstairs Sitting Room decorated in a Garden theme for Spring/Summer....
Above the door....
That is my favorite quote by George Eliot, who was actually a pen name for a woman named Mary Anne Evans......
Women were not allowed to be authors of anything back in her time.....
Today, I am sharing this corner to the left of the door when you walk into the room....
You may remember that this is where a 6ft. flocked Tree stood for Christmas....
This Christmas, I will only be using the top of this Tree as a table top Tree on the round table.....
In my upcoming August Rudolph Day Blog Post, I will share what I will be doing with the bottom part of the Tree....
This was my son Jim's room.....
I painted it yellow and added a pretty floral wall paper border .....
And I left up some of the shelves in this room that once were used for books, games, DVD's and other things.....
This shelf was above his bed which was in this corner.....
The linens on it were made by my maternal grandmother......
A chandy I made using small clay pots filled with flowers.....
I hung a fairy from the chandy.....
A magnetic board hanging on the wall.......
A wash stand, given to me by a neighbor, that I painted white....
The pitcher, from a vintage bowl and pitcher set, filled with pink and yellow roses....
On the side of it....
I hung this mirrored window shelf on the wall...
I bought the swag at Salvation Army....
On the shelf....
Vintage parasol wall pockets on the wall....
Both my son's Birth plaques....
My oldest son's.....
My youngest son's....
Both were made by my oldest niece Lisa, who is only 12 years younger that me...
A vintage Capodimonte lamp with a shade that I embellished.....
I set up a Garden Tea on this round table.....
Some Fairies.....
A vintage Tea Set called Ribbons and Bows....
A bird on the other side.....
A Garden Stone on a plate....
A vintage topper with pockets for tea bags.....
A vintage tea cup rack that I painted white....
Some Home Interiors Victorian Ladies figurines....
I bought the vintage crystal candlesticks in Salvation Army for $5 each and added Home Interiors votive cups to them....
A few Cherished Teddies figures and plaques....
Some of my Tea Cup and Saucer Collection....
Most are vintage....
Some are new.....
Under the Tea Cup Rack.....
A Garden shovel bought a few years ago in Ollies and a Home Interior's picture....
A Bistro chair that I spray painted pink and reupholstered.....
These were my both son's Cabbage Patch dolls.....
On their laps are vintage Checker's games that were my late neighbor Elly's.....
And this is where I will leave of for today.....

Your food looks so fabulous! We really don't have anywhere around here that does ethnic food. It's a chicken bbq every weekend and you can get burnt out on chicken pretty quickly. My husband is polish and he would love those foods!
