I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

I feel it is a personal Journal that, hopefully, someday, my Twin Granddaughters will be able to look back on to learn about who I was....

I will be posting 3 times a week on MONDAYS, THURSDAYS and SATURDAYS....

I enjoy reading your comments and will return the favor by visiting and commenting on your blog or reply to you directly here if you do not have a blog but I do have my comment section set to Moderation due to spammers and hackers so your comment will not appear immediately...
And since I have a very busy life, like most of us do, it may take me awhile to return your comments but I promise I will....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

For the New Year, I am trying something different with my 3 times weekly posts....

On THURSDAYS, I will feature what I cooked and ate during the week, showcasing local cuisine and a few recipes for things that I actually made...

I decided that on SATURDAYS, I will showcase What I Have Been Up To in the past week, sharing events and places I went to, if any....

On MONDAYS, I will be featuring What I Have Bought or Been Gifted Recently, if anything...

Since I do not have anything new in the way of Food to share today, I want to share my church's Cash Bingo that was held last Saturday....

At $100 a game and 4 Specials at $300, $400, $500 and $1000, along with a 50/50 drawing that paid out nearly $900, it was SOLD OUT!!

Father Michael welcoming everyone and giving a Blessing...

My dear friend Rosemary, who was in charge of the Cash Bingo, wearing her special Bingo hat.......

My friend Joann to the right...

Father Michael enjoyed his time being the caller...

Rosemary's son Mike to the far left...

Rosemary and my friend Michelle....

All the Bingo Workers wore these tee shirts....

My friend Barb took these pictures of Joey and I with Rosemary.....

In line waiting to get some food.....

Since I met my late husband Joe while working at a Bingo, as I have done so in the past, I donated a $100 game in Joe's Memory.....

Our Young at Heart Senior Social Club also donated a game as we are allowed to use the hall for our meetings at no charge.....

Some expenses are still coming in but this amazing event should net a profit of anywhere from $20,000 to $21,000!!!!!

The money taken in for the special games alone was over $9000!!!!

I usually decorate the Dining Room in a Tea Room theme for the Summer but this year, I decided to do a Patriotic display on the Buffet.....

I have since packed away the Patriotic decor and decorated the Buffet in a Tea Room theme once again.....

Before I go any further though, I do want to share how the chandy in the Dining Room is decorated for the Summer.....

I changed out the lamp shades to floral ones that I embellished....

And hung these ornaments from it....

Which is why in some pictures, you will see those tassels.....

 Like in this picture.....

There are no wondws in my Dining Room as it is the center room in my townhouse so I embraced the fact that I always need a light turned on in this room......

As I have said many times, the Dining Room is my most Victorian looking room as I love that Era in time....

In the corner.....

I left the Angel on this shelf.....

And the beautiful Tea Room sign gifted to me by my FB friend Angels.....

On the floor in this corner is a cherub planter that my sister passed on to me and I did a floral arrangement for it.....

Hanging from the ceiling is a tussie mussie I made.....

This is a different arrangement than in past years....

I bought this lamp at a church flea market......

A pink depression glass biscuit jar filled with faux treats......

One of my Thomas Kinkade Pink Ladies in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.......

Faux cupcakes in a pink depression glass dish.....

I love how this lamp looks in the evenings....

Next to the lamp, set on a cake stand......

Is a tea pot bought in T. J. Maxx many years ago.....

And placed it on a pink depression glass dish.....

Faux treats, an antique Victorian calling card and a tea bag holder......

See the gold medallion that says Tea on the tea pot?????

On the Buffet below the tea pot is the matching sugar bowl and a pair of lace gloves with a vintage pin on it!!!

I will come back to the sugar bowl in a minute.....

On the shelf above the Buffet.....

A picture of my late husband Joe's maternal grandparents who were both Polish immigrants.....

Two tea pot ornaments and another Victorian calling card....

On a gold pedestal, on top of another pink depression glass dish....

Two matching mugs, Coffee and Tea........

 More faux goodies.....

I also want to point out the toile runner I used on the Buffet, which was made by my friend Rosemary, who sells runners and place mats....

I added venice lace to the edges of it.....

A faux cinnamon bun in a vintage two handled tea cup......

The sugar bowl that matches the tea pot......

 And the matching creamer......

I placed these forks in the creamer.....

More faux goodies on another pink depression glass plate......

On the right side of the Buffet......

My vintage milk glass punch bowl on a pedestal.....

That is filled with roses and greenery and a Dollar Tree fan.....

I bought this goodie on eBay many years ago....

 More pink depression glass.....

 Another Thomas Kinkade Pink Lady.....

A candy dish with a faux pie in it.....

I am happy with this display for this year.....

I also want to share the top of the small Curio between the Buffet and the Hutch......

A Home Interiors shelf above the Curio....

A lighted Angel gifted to me by my son Jim and his family....

Brass candlesticks bought at a church flea market with pink Home Interiors votive cups.....

The brass fans were bought over 20+ years ago at a yard sale......

A Home Interiors Victorian Lady.....

A vintage demitasse cup and saucer....

Victorian styled tulip lamp.....

I used to display this sweet tea set in my Craft Room but decided to bring it down to the Dining Room.....

It was another yard sale find from many years ago.....

In a previous post, I shared how I decorated the Dining Room Hutch with my Moss Rose China Collection for the Summer....

I changed out the white lace runner on the top of it for another toile runner made by my friend Rosemary.....

You can see it from the side.....

I placed the runner so the venice lace that I added to it hangs over the front of the Hutch.....

And what I have to the side of the Hutch....

And this is where I will be leaving off today......

I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY when I will be continuing the tour of my Dining Room decorated in a Tea Room theme for the Summer......

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

And try to find JOY in every single day!
