I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

When I received the invitation to participate in Katherine's , over at Katherine's Corner, next Tray Blog Tour, I was ecstatic!!!

Being a Victorian Soul, I jumped at the chance to join in with other Bloggers to share Tea Time Home Decor on a Tray......

I usually do a tablescape when I participate in these Blog Tours and this post will be no different.....

I started with a pink tablecloth, covered with a lace table topper.....

My "Tray" this time is a vintage Vanity Mirror Tray.....

I bought it at a yard sale for a Buck!!!

I placed a Batternburg lace doily off to the side of it.....

I then added another mirrored "Tray" on top of it.....

A mirrored cake pedestal......

I also placed a doily on top of that one....

Since I removed my Collection of "Made in Japan" Vintage Moss Rose dishes....

Which is usually displayed in my Dining Room Hutch...

Replacing it with some of my collection of Red Transferware dishes......

I decided to use my Moss Rose Tea Set and a few other pieces for this post.......

 On the Vanity Mirror Tray....

One of 4 tea cups and dishes from a Tea and Toast Set......

On a small tray is a lidded condiment jar......

On top of the cake pedestal........

A tea pot, 2 egg cups and a butter pat......

I draped a pearl necklace over the tea pot and cake pedestal......

Under the cake pedestal on the vanity mirror tray, are the sugar bowl and creamer....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Tea Time Home Decor on a Tray.....

And now for the rest of the Tea Time Home Decor Tablescape......

On the left side of the table....

The vintage cherub candle holder is one of a set of 2 that I bought many years ago in Salvation Army,  both for only $5...

I added framed pictures of what I call "Instant Relatives" which were bought at flea markets and estate sales.....

 One of 2 curettes.....

From the Tea and Toast sets.....

I love the fan shape of the dish.....

And the daintiness of the tea cup....

In the center of the table....

A butter dish......

A Demitasse Cup and Saucer from a set of 6......

I love the gold on these.....

On the right side of the table......

A velvet burgundy Lady's purse and lace gloves with a brooch pinned to them.....

More framed pictures of "Instant Relatives".....

The other currette.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my interpretation of Tea Time Home Decor on a Tray.......

  1. hi Debbie, your tea on a tray is just lovely! I love the thrifted vanity mirrored tray you used and the Moss Rose china is so pretty and has so many unusual pieces! I like the way you placed the lace doilies and the elevated teapot draped with pearls really adds an elegant touch! Your tray is such a pretty centerpiece for your tablescape to and I got a chuckle out of your Instant Relative photos!

  2. Absolutely gorgeous Deb! I knew it would be when I heard the theme for the tour and you did not disappoint! You have so many beautiful vintage pieces. Adding the pearls, purse, and gloves brings so much elegance to your display. Your whole tablescape is fit for a queen! Perhaps her majesty is part of the "instant relatives" you added? As always, thanks so much for the inspiration you bring with every post! So happy to tour with you today.

  9. Hi Debbie, such a perfect Victorian set of china. Moss rose is a lovely pattern and really evokes the style of the 1800's in Victorian England. I love the delicacy of the china and you have such a nice collection. The lace doilies are another Victorian element that makes the tray special. A pleasure to visit today.

  18. Hi Deb: What a gorgeous tea setting you have created. I love the Moss Rose pattern. When we were married we received a small snack set very similar to your cups and dishes. Over the years they got broken and misplaced. That shows you that I was never that excited by collectibles in my younger years! Such a waste..Stay warm..xxoJudy
