Winter in the Powder Room with a Bit of Valentine's, 2023

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing how I changed over the Powder Rom from Christmas to Winter/Valentine's by only making a few changes and additions....

In my last post, I shared the China Cupboard in the Den, decorated for Winter, and a few more New Buys....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to Thank Linda, over at Crafts a La Mode, for featuring my post, New Winter and Valentine's Buys,  from last week's Thursday Favorite Things Linky Party!!

Thanks so much, Linda!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I managed get all of Christmas packed away in the Living Room and cleaned the room, wiping everything down and polishing furniture...

Also stripped the Tree down last night and will be re-decorating the room for Valentine's today....

We had the Grand Pups for a day during the week and will be having them as House Guests from Saturday evening til Tuesday evening as my son and his wife will be away for a few days in NYC...

They got new sweat shirt/sweaters!!!

They definitely have become "sisters" as we call them and are good friends...

Waiting for Mimi to get off her lap top so they could sit on her lap!!

Now they are happy!!

LOL!!

I hope to pack up Christmas and decorate the Dining room for Valentine's while they are here, finishing the change over in the downstairs....

We will see how that goes!!!

I change my downstairs Powder Room from how it is normally decorated from Spring till Fall.....

Into how it looks for Christmas decorated in a blue, silver and white color theme and with Snow Buddies....

Click HERE if you would like to see how I changed over the Powder Room from Spring/Summer to Fall with a bit of Halloween and then to Christmas...

I changed the wreath on the door to a Winter one that I just made....

I bought this sign on Clearance in Big Lot's for around $2!!

I removed anything having to do with Christmas in the Powder Room...

And added some Valentine's decorations that I made over the years......

A few hearts hanging from the shelf....

And a plaque I made...

Everything stayed the same above the medicine cabinet...

You may remember that I bought these ornaments in Big Lot's after Christmas....

You can see I hung one on the knob of the medicine cabinet door....

Some pops of red....

I added 2 red bottle brush trees with Valentine's trim I added to the pots they are in....

I left this shelf dedicated to Joe's love of hockey the same....

 Below the shelf...

I added 2 Valentine's Snow Buddies and red paper hearts...

I removed all Christmas ornaments from the Tree and the area below it....

And added some red  and silver hearts and blue toile ones....

On the shelf under the Tree....

Another Valentine's Snow Buddy....

On the side of the estagere....

I added a few Valentine's decorations to this stand....

I removed the Christmas ornaments hung on the sconces and replaced them with mittens and silver hearts....

Other years, I used silver mercury glass owls and silver pine cones and acorns in the Powder Room starting with Halloween and left them up for Winter...

I remember packing them away in a separate box in March last year after I took down all the Snow Buddies in the Powder Room so I could easily find them when I decorated for Halloween.....

I have not yet found them!!!!

LOL!

I thought for sure they were packed away with my Winter decorations....

NOPE!!

Maybe with the Easter decorations....

I guess I will have to wait to find out....

 However.....

No owls lead me to find something else to put on these shelves for Winter.....

Since I did things a bit differently in my Den this year for Winter, I had these 2 Avon Pieces left over.....

I think I like them much better here then the owls!!!

LOL!!

 The pitcher.....

And on the other side, the tea pot....

More hearts hung from the shelves but I left the top shelf of the wall shelf the same as Christmas....

I did change the other shelves on it though....

I added 2 red paper hearts and a Valentine Snow Buddy to the top shelf....

And a silver mercury glass heart and 2 more Valentine Snow buddies to this one....

And a black and white Valentine's sign hangs below the shelf unit....

I hope you enjoyed seeing the simple changes I made to change over this room from Christmas to Winter/Valentine's....

The Powder Room will stay this way until the end of February as February is Heart Month, deemed by the American Heart Association....

It took me 1 day to change over the Powder Room.....

On TUESDAY, I will be continuing my Winter/Valentine's Home Tour and will be sharing my Kitchen decorated for Winter in a Red Cardinal and Snowman theme with a touch of Valentine's, starting with the Hutch.....

And my Winter Red Cardinal Tree....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on TUESDAY!!!

  5. Your winter decorations in the powder room are very pretty. I like the little pops of red in the Valentine's hearts. It's a nice way to transition to a new holiday season. Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-Up 50.
