Winter Red Cardinal Tree and Winter Hutch in the Kitchen, 2023

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I am now posting 3 times a week !!!

I will be posting on TUESDAY, THURSDAY and SATURDAY

As always, click on each picture if you would like to enlarge it....

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the Kitchen in a Red Cardinal and Snowman theme for Winter....

In my last post, I shared how I changed over the Powder Rom from Christmas to Winter/Valentine's by only making a few changes and additions....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

We have had the Grand Pups here for a few days....

They sure do love to sleep ....

Azumi loves to stretch out....

While Faye rolls up in a ball and loves covers....

Even with them here, I did manage to get the Living Room decorated for Valentine's so now all I have to do is pack away Christmas in the Dining Room and decorate it,,,,,

For over the last 10 years, I have decorated the Kitchen for Winter in a Red Cardinal and Snowman theme....

As I always say, this is my focal wall in the Kitchen as it serves no purpose other than to decorate it....

Too bad the rest of the Kitchen can not be like that too!!

I have made a few changes this Season so I will be sharing the Kitchen in 2 posts....

Today, we will be looking at how I decorated the Kitchen Tree and the Hutch.....

I switched out the vintage aprons for Valentine's ones that Joe bought in Wegman's on Clearance a few years back.....

A Red Cardinal and a pine cone on the shelf....

On the side of the Hutch.....

 A plaque that I made ....

The chalk board on the side of the Tree....

I taped a picture of a cardinal over the tile on top and added a bow...

And placed a Dollar Tree sign on the shelf.....

The Tree is decorated the same as other years....

On the wall behind the Tree is a Red Cardinal metal sign and a Valentine's one.....

I topped the Tree with a snowflake and made a bow using a red plaid ribbon and a red cardinal ribbon.....

The Tree is decorated with Red Cardinals and other birds.....

 Bird houses....

 Crocheted snow flakes.....

Valentine's hearts......

A red berry garland is wrapped around the Tree...

And buffalo snow is tucked into the branches to assimilate snow.....

On the floor by the Tree is a vintage pair of Boy's Skates....

I decorate the Hutch with Holiday Harlequin dishes bought several years ago in Wegman's.....

I did the top of the Hutch a bit differently this year.....

You may remember that I had Joe buy these Snowman candle holders in Bed, Bath and Beyond a few weeks ago on Clearance after Christmas....

I added ribbon that I also bought on Clearance around the top.....

And red and white Baker's twine for a scarf....

I also recently bought these snowflake ornaments for 50 cents each in Dollar General....

And these for 50 % off in Bed, Bath and Beyond....

You can see I used them here on top of the Hutch....

I made these snow men last year using Snowman head ornaments from Dollar tree and soup cans...

I placed a red plate behind them...

Hanging in the middle of the hutch is a bow made out of red cardinal ribbon and the star the my nieces gifted me for Christmas

I also added snowballs also bought on Clearance....

The top shelf of the Hutch....

I used a tablecloth a few years ago to make valances, a cafe curtain and a runner that I used on top of the refrigerator.....

I used something else on top of the fridge this year so I cut the runner in two and used them on the shelves of the Hutch....

The bottom shelf........

On the desk part of the Hutch, I set up a Red Cardinal display.......

I bought this lantern with Red Cardinals on it in Gabes a few years back......

I framed a picture from a bird calendar....

The larger Tea Set was bought at Wegman's several years ago.....

And the mini Tea Set was bought at a Flea Market...

This Light Post was bought before Christmas in Gabes....

I used the Red Cardinal gifted to me by my friend, Anne Marie....

The quilted bird place mat was bought a long time ago at Country Folk Gifts, which sadly is no longer in business....

Underneath the desk area...

A Red Cardinal ornament hangs from the knob of the drawer.....

More Snowmen and Red Cardinals...

More ornaments on the drawers of the desk....

On the other side of the Hutch....

Another Red Cardinal and pine cone.....

 Another Valentine's apron....

Snowflakes and more ornaments hang in the door way to the Den.......

And this is where I will leave off for today.....

It took me 3 days to change over the Kitchen....

  1. I do love cardinals and all that red and white is just so much fun! That plaid ribbon is great, too -- and your dogs? Adorable all cuddled up like that!
