This post ended the Christmas Season of 2022 regular posts over on my Christmas Blog.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I am now back to posting regularly here on Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

For now, I will keep the schedule of posting 3 times a week and I will see how it goes....

Thanks again, Bev!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate Russian Orthodox Christmas today on January 7th.....

I will now be starting to change over my Christmas Decorations in the Den to Winter decor now that Epiphany and Russian Christmas is over.....

This used to be the norm in this area to wait until January 6th to take down Christmas...

I wanted to share these pictures of the Sun streaming through the window in the craft room in the morning, illuminating the Tree....

This is my happy place....

In my last post, I mentioned that Joe won $500 on a Lottery ticket.....

Well, he bought another Lottery ticket with his winnings and won again!!!

$400 this time...

It is strange that every few months when he wins, he usually wins something like this twice in a period of 2-3 days.....

The first winning ticket will pay for new brakes on our car and this one with pay for 2 new tires that we need.....

We had the Grand pups over night on Thursday into Friday so of course, I want to share a few pics of these cuties....

Azumi sleeping on her G Pop's lap!!

Azumi is quite the lap dog.....

Faye likes to sleep curled up in a ball....

The Nation, once again, was watching NEPA last week with the arrest of the man from our area in the Pocono's in connection with the deaths of the 4 Idaho College students....

He was arraigned on the charges only 45 minutes away in Stroudsburg before he was flown back to Idaho....

We are well known here for our murders and killers, unfortunately...

Being a huge fan of murder mysteries and since I have been intrigued and have followed the stories of many serial killers starting with Jack the Ripper, I will definitely be watching as the case against this local area man unfurls....

CRAZY, crazy!!!!

Joe hates that I love this type of stuff....

I am now FINALLY on Medicare!!!

Just had my family physician switch all my meds over to my new Medicare Drug Plan!!

7 meds are FREE and I only have to pay $15 for a 90 day supply of one!!

My premium is only $11 a month!!

I love being eligible for Medicare,  a supplement and a Medicare drug plan!!!!

SO MUCH CHEAPER than even my employee health care insurance was!!!

As I mentioned, I will now back to posting regularly on this Blog as I ended my Christmas Holiday Season posts over on my Christmas Blog, A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!!

If you missed any of my Christmas Home Tour Room by Room posts, you can visit my Christmas Blog as they are all listed there on the right side bar and will be until next Christmas Season!!

Today I am going to be sharing a few new "Buys" that I got after Christmas and will be using for Winter decor along with some new Dollar Tree Valentine Buys....

But first, I want to share a beautiful tablecloth that a friend of mine gave me....

One of our good friends from Church called me to tell me that in the apartment complex where she lives, people put out things that they no longer want for others to take and when she saw this gorgeous tablecloth, she thought of me!!!

The embroidery and ribbon flowers are amazing on it....

I am thrilled that my friend Carol thought of me!!!

Simply Stunning!!!

Joe and I do not buys gifts for each other, stopping that for all occasions almost 20 years ago because if we want something, we just go and buy it....

I did a bit of shopping for myself before Christmas....

I wanted new boots as my 2 pairs are a soft suede and the ice grippers that I wear constantly in the Winter if there is snow and ice did not fit well on them...

These boots were marked down from $69.99 to $14.99 on the Boscov's web site....

They fit well and so did my ice grippers fit well on them!!

I saw these things on the Ocean State Job Lot web site....

I like to wrap a scarf around my neck in the evening as my robe has a scooped collar.....

I love this and so did my DIL, Danielle, so I bought her one too!!!

I also saw this online and wanted it as mine broke some time ago.....

Good thing because Joe washed a green tablecloth with my new Powder Room towels so I needed to use it to get all the gray "pills" off the tablecloth!!!

UGH!!!

I do not wear a hat unless I am shoveling snow in a snow storm but I do like to wear ear muffs when out for my morning walks with the grand pups and for exercise.....

These were only $6!!

 And are nice and warm....

Now did I order these things online even though that is where I saw them??

NO!

I sent Joe to the store for them as the store is 5 minutes down the road!

And we had Crazy Deal Gift Cards so we paid nothing for them!

I also bought these rolls of ribbon for $1 each at 50% off in Ocean State Job Lot....

And I bought this one in Big Lot's....

Also in Ocean State Job Lot, I bought this nice soft throw for Winter.....

We bought it for only $6.49 which was a mistake though because these throws were not supposed to be marked down to 50% off after Christmas!!

OOPS!!

I sent Joe to Bed, Bath and Beyond to pick up these for 50% off.....

Of course, I will use these for Winter.....

I bought these also at 50% off in Dollar General.....

I am going to embellish this and use it year round in the Dining Room.....

It was $7.50

And these place mats were only $1.00 each....

They can be used for Valentine's and for the Patriotic Summer Holidays!!

More place mats bought in Big Lot's for Winter.....

3 of these for $2 each......

"Warm Winter Wishes"

And 2 of these at $2 each....

Also in Big Lot's

Mitten ornaments....

Greenery in pots....

And ribbon for year round use....

Snow balls for Winter decor!!

And this cutie for my Winter Beverage Bar area!!!

At Dollar Tree for 50% off.....

2 silver snowflake chargers....

Owl ornaments for my Winter Trees...

And red jingle bells...

I wish I would have got to Dollar Tree sooner for their 50% off after Christmas sale.....

Made a note in my Christmas Planner to do so next year....

And now, Dollar Tree has all their Valentine's merchandise out and are starting to put out Fairy Garden and Gardening things!!!

I bought these things for Valentine's....

Red heart garland....

I will use this ribbon in my Kitchen year round since my Kitchen is red...

Valentine's Heart Chocolate Bombs for my Winter Beverage Center in the Kitchen....

A wood mason jar sign...

Large envelopes which I will embellish......

This sign can also be used year round....

Another sign...

Ornaments....

A wood bead heart for crafting....

And I loved this Mardi Gras mask but I am thinking more for Halloween!!!!

Maybe on a pumpkin!!!

After Christmas sales are the time to take advantage of looking for decor not only for next Christmas Season but also for items that can be used for other Holidays and year round....

I did take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we had here over the last week and did convert the front of the house over to Winter from Christmas.....

I will be doing a post on this soon......

  1. I love your purchases! I am regretting that I did not stop at our Dollar Tree when I ran an errand today. Maybe tomorrow!
Congratulations on making it to Medicare. We were both self-insured for 5 years when my husband retired at 60. (I was already "retired" since my dad's stroke). You are lucky to live in an area with a lot of stores, etc. Every supplemental and drug plan is specific to your area. In my state and I guess everywhere, it is different for each county. My friend retired first and did a whole spread sheet with supplemental and drug plans. She lives 15 minutes away. When I tried to use her sheet, all my prices were different. The first year I went with a Blue Cross plan which we were happy with, but that fall they notified me that the price was tripling and the out of pocket deductible went up by $100's. So - back to the drawing board, I did not realize I have to pick all this every year. The next year we did Walgreens/AARP, which in my town with my medicines worked out the best. 3 of my drugs were free and one was, gulp, $79 every 3 months. Which I know in the scheme of things is not terrible, but all my prescriptions were $5 for 3 months back in the good old days when my husband was working and they mailed them all to me automatically at no extra charge. This year the cost of my free ones will be a few dollars each, my deducible out of pocket is higher and I shudder about the $79 one. I think because we have so few drug stores (Walmart, Walgreens and CVS) that there isn't any competition for better pricing. I'm going to try again to see if my doctor can switch the higher priced one to a tier one drug.

  2. Your decorations are always amazing. My Medicare insurance with companions care plans make my health expenses very affordable. I'm very fortunate to be covered in both the States and Canada when I'm there. - Margy

  3. HI Debbie! Way to go Joe on those back to back wins! And that you have expenses that can be paid with those earnings! Love your after Christmas finds! I am obsessed with the Idaho. I am listening to podcast called Off the Cuff. It includes this case and how these retired NYC/Jersey police officers have discussed the timeline. It is so sad. When I first heard 4 students were found dead in a college rental I assumed it was carbon monoxide poisoning. So very sad.
Not to end on that note I love your Valentine finds too! Happy New Year! laura in Colorado

  4. It's always fun and frugal to buy Christmas decorations when they go on sale during the week after Christmas (then save them until the next year). I like your new Valentine's Day decor, too. Thank you for sharing this post in the Talent-Sharing Tuesdays Link-up 48.

  6. So many great finds! And what a gorgeous tablecloth! I haven't chosen a word for the year, yet. Last year, mine was Focus, and it really did help me focus! It was a rough year, personally, but I am hoping for a good 2023! The pups are so cute.
