By The Sea Decor on a Tray Blog Tour and Tablescape.......

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I am posting today on a Tuesday because I was invited by Katherine, over at Katherine's Corner, to join her and other bloggers, participating in her By The Sea Decor on a Tray Blog Tour, which she is graciously hosting today!!!

I was thrilled to be invited again!!

Thanks so much , Katherine, for thinking to include me among this very talented group of Bloggers and yourself!!

Thanks to those readers who are coming over from  The Painted Apron
following the Blog Tour!!!

Didn't you just love Jenna's By The Sea Decor Mermaid Tray???

But before we get to my By The Sea Decor Tray...

I want to Thank Laurie, over at Ridge Haven Homestead, for choosing my post, Flowers Planted and A Few New Things,  as one of her features from last week's Sunshine Blog Hop....

Thanks so much, Laurie!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!!

I was thrilled when I found out that the theme for this Tray Blog Tour was By The Sea Decor as I decorate my Living Room for late Summer in an "Under the Sea" theme.....

Ironically, my dear friend Anne Marie had gifted me some beautiful things the last time she visited that would fit in perfectly with the theme of this Blog Tour.....

And oddly enough, Joe had picked up these things at Dollar Tree!!!!

I knew I wanted to use all of them ....

Once again, I decided to do my Tray as part of a tablescape....

I started with the matching tablecloth to the chair covers in the Dining Room.....

I then added the tablecloth that Joe bought at Dollar Tree.....

For my Tray for this Blog Tour, I decided to use this galvanized tray that I bought several years ago at Dollar General for $5!!

I placed a piece of burlap inside the tray.....

I placed a wreath stand behind the tray.......

I made this wreath several years ago.....

I hung an octopus ornament in the middle of the wreath to disguise the pole of the wreath stand....

I placed the sign that Joe bought at Dollar Tree on the base of the wreath stand....

I filled the Tray....

With Starfish that I embellished.....

A Seahorse ornament that I made....

Shells that were picked on Miami Beach by my dear late neighbor, Elly....

The Seahorse and aqua colored Coral that my friend Anne Marie gifted to me.....

And the packet of Sand Dollars....

An Anchor ornament that I made....

On the side of the Tray....

A glass block that I decorated.......

And a bottle filled with sand and shells......

On the other side......

I bought the lighted anchor at Big Lot's a few years ago....

And another bottle filled with sand and seashells......

In front of the Tray on the center of the table......

A seashell that I embellished.....

In front of the seashell is a mermaid.....

I place the Dollar Tree sign in front of it......

I really enjoyed creating my By The Sea Decor on a Tray for the Blog Tour....

And like the other 2 Tray Blog Tours that I participated in I decided to do a tablescape with the Tray as the centerpiece for the table!!!

I set up the tablescape with place settings for 2.....

I started with this charger plate.....

Then I added one of my everyday Corelle white dinner plates....

I also used my everyday Oneida flatware....

I added a starfish that I embellished and scatter starfish to the plate....

I used my Iris Herringbone Depression Glass tumblers....

In the evening.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing my interpretation of By The Sea Decor on a Tray and Tablescape!!!

Be sure to continue the Tour by hopping over to Rachel at My Hubbard Home next!!

I know you will not be disappointed....

  1. Hi Debbie! Your tray and table are a mermaid's paradise! So many wonderful seaside trinkets and decor! Love the wreath and how you disguised the stand with an octopus :) The embellished starfish are so pretty and the ornaments and other things you made are too cute! Great Dollar Store finds, the waves have washed up a dreamy seaside scene!

  3. Ah, Debbie, life is better at the beach for almost everyone! In fact, I will walk on the beach for hours! When I want to get in the water, though, I am strictly a pool or lake girl! One time seeing a shark between me and the beach (in 3 feet of water) cured me of that! I adore your table! Those chargers look just like the wooden piers sticking up around the pier right at Cocoa Beach near me! Enjoy your summer, be it at the beach or just around your sweet table at home!

Love your gifts from Anne Marie and I need a Joe to come and shop for me! He always finds you such great buys and then you turn it into something beautiful! I love that you incorporated your tray into your pretty tablescape. The end result is stunning. So glad to be touring with you today and I wish you a wonderful summer!
