I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

No Winter Blues Here in the Powder Room and A Few New Buys, 2022

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Just a reminder, I will be posting on Wednesdays and Sundays every week so be sure to check back on those days to see a new post......

Today, I will be sharing how I changed a few things over in the Powder Room, adding some Valentine's decor to my Winter Snow Buddies along with also showcasing a few new Valentine's buys....

In my previous post, I shared my Winter Woodland Forest that  I created in our Den.....

And now, a few Personal Notes...

Over a week ago, we had some snow and I took these pictures out in our back yard.....

When we packed up and cleaned up all the yard things, I left these angels out and placed them in area where I thought they would create some interesting pictures when it snowed.....

 I guess I was right!!

We are supposed to get a storm tonight into tomorrow with 2-5 inches of snow and then a change over to some freezing rain so I am sure I will have more pictures of these to share in future posts....

Don't you just love the extension on this little girl's hat from the snow???

Stay tuned for more of these to come!!

I have been told that many enjoy seeing the food that we get as Take Home.....

We finally ordered the Reheat and Eat Dinners that the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins Food Service sells weekly, made by the team's very own Chef Steve.....

Chef Steve is Joe's Boss at the Toyoto Sportsplex which is managed by the Pens organization where Joe works in the Concession Stand Monday through Thursday evenings...

This is the ad for the weekly dinners....

Not sure what to cook for Dinner? Let Chef Steve provide that service to you.

Penguins Reheat and Eat Meals!

Eat like the pros with a prepared meal that you just have to reheat and eat!

Each meal is just $12!

(plus 6% sales tax)

Chef Steve does all the cooking for the WB Scranton Penguins Hockey Team....

We ordered Chicken Fettucine Alfredo for Joey

Look at those pieces of chicken!

I ate the broccoli with a dose of Bentyl for my stomach as Joey does not eat vegetables....

Joe and I ordered 2 diners of cheese steak sromboli, never thinking they would be this large!!!!

They came with a salad and  Joey's came with dinner rolls....

Joe and I had 2 meals out of our Dinners!!

They were delicious and Joey told Joe to tell Chef Steve that he makes a mean Chicken Fettucine Alfredo!!

If you are local, here is the link where you can order a choice of 3 different dinners every week....

They sell between 250 - 300+ dinners weekly!!

Say Hi to Joe when you pick yours up as he is at the cash register checking people out for this....

Joey treated us to pizza from Norm's in Wilkes Barre on Friday.....

 It is always so good!!!

Now even though I said one of my Goals for this year is to Buy Nothing.....

Did you just hear Joe hit the floor as he does that every time I say this?????

I did use some of my Christmas money from Jim and Danielle at Dollar Tree, which by the way, has now officially gone up to $1.25!!

Kudos to them for holding off for 35 years to raise prices.....

Yes, I bought a few Valentine's things....

I said I was only going to buy things that I thought were unique and different and I thought these things were different then what is your typical Valentine's decorations....

This sign will find a home hanging somewhere in my Kitchen year around....

I love that Dollar Tree has a whole selection of Mail themed Valentine's decorations this year....

These tin envelopes will be embellished but I am not sure how as of yet.....

A heart muffin pan that I will use somehow in a craft project....

 A heart tinsel wreath.....

And these things will be used for crafting....

Wooden stickers....

 Metal envelopes

 Glitter hearts....

 And venice lace!!!!

I have to share my FB friend Angela's creations....

She made these from different envelops that she bought at Dollar Tree, using some of the lace that I gifted to her...

I hope to do something similar with the ones I bought.....

Click HERE to go to her FB site to see more of Angela's amazing creations!!

Joe also bought this for the Special Blend that he made up which is what they uses on Fries he makes at the concession stand.....

I always say that I can hear my Dad looking down and saying, "That a Girl" whenever I do something creative.....

My Dad and Joe were best friends and Joe took his passing almost as hard as I did....

Ironically, my Dad used to run the concession stand at the bingo where Joe and I worked and first met....

History repeats itself and now Joe is running a concession stand, mostly by himself on week nights, and cooking too!!

I can hear my Dad saying to Joe "That a Boy!!"

Now on to my Powder Room......

With a few changes after I removed any Christmas decor, I left up all the Snow Buddies and added a few Valentine's things and now it is good until the beginning of March....

A Valentine's wreath I made hangs on the door.....

Another small heart I made hangs above the door frame.....

In the corner by the sink......

A red bottle brush tree with ruffled red heart trim that I added to the pot...

I hung a silver heart from the shelf and one I made under the snowman picture....

Snow Buddies and pine cones on top of the medicine cabinet...

A winter picture moved over by the sink.....

A silver bird and red heart doily added to the pictures hanging here....

 The shelf above the toilet....

I added another red bottle brush tree to this shelf....

And a Valentine's Snow Buddy bringing flowers to his sweetheart....

A red heart paper doily placed under the silver mercury glass tree....

I took away all the Christmas Snow Buddy ornaments ....

Replacing them with red heart ornaments....

 And some silver birds....

With the blue and white icicle lights off....

 A Valentine's Snow Buddy.....

Another one here in the Village....

On the 3 tiered table next to the estagere...

Funny....long time ago , I used to be the Queen of Everything....

Red roses with a bow made from Valenitie's ribbon in a vase....

 The other shelf unit.....

A red rose placed on each shelf next to the Mercury glass trees....

I hung silver hearts from the shelves...

Hearts were added to the sconces on each side of the shelf....

A snowman box was added to this shelf....

The lights inside the mercury glass trees turned on.....

I added red heart paper doilies and more Valentine's Snow Buddies...

A silver mercury glass heart....

I hung a Valentine's sign under the wall unit....

And the swag above the closet where the washer and dryer is, remained the same....

And that completes my tour of the Powder Room decorated for Winter and Valentine's......

I hope you enjoyed it!!

  2. OH MY GOSH - those meals are amazing!!! Holy Cow!!! I would be ordering every week and probably every meal. I just looked at next week's choices. Maybe I will do some meal planning with the offerings. We live in a very small town and presently we can either pick up fast food or have pizza delivered. If we order meals from the closest bigger city, (Applebees, Longhorn, Red Lobster), I still have to figure out how to reheat it. Even with an air fryer, it isn't the same. I wish we had an option like this.

Love your new Dollar Tree finds. That lace is the bomb!!

  3. Hey Debbie,
I hope this finds you safe and warm during this snow storm. The upper part of SC has snow, some ice in the Midlands, and rain down here. Your angels look so sweet dressed in snow.
I, for one, always enjoy your dinner pictures! What a treat to be able to buy those meals, and such generous servings... and that is so special about "history repeating itself".
Those are cute finds from Dollar Tree, especially the lace.
    Do take care.
    Blessings, Linda

  11. Your Dollar Tree finds are fabulous! My son and I went Monday night, and the shelves were bare! I still ended up spending $80, which almost made me throw up, literally, because it was almost all of my ad earnings from the blog for the month. I'm hoping soon I will be able to afford some marketing for it. I can't work because my health is too bad. I never know when I'll have a horrible day (like yesterday) and won't be able to leave the bed, so that keeps me from being able to work for someone else from home. I love blogging though because I get to "talk" to people and see their wonderful creations, like yours! I enjoy visiting you each week to see all of the new decor you have put up in your home and hear about your week. You never have to worry about your house getting dusty because you change it up for every season and holiday. I love it! Thanks so much for coming to share on the second week of Crafty Creators! If you know any fellow bloggers who might not know about it yet, I'd love for you to spread the word! By the way, those snow buddies are adorable! Where do you get them?
    XOXO,
