I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

An Easter Bunny Tea and More....

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

You can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing some Easter decorations in our Dining Room......

But first, I want to Thank, Beverly, over at How Sweet The Sound, for featuring my post, A Trip Down Memory Lane, as the post that got the Most Clicks from last week's Anything Goes Pink Saturday Link Party!!!

Thanks so much, Beverly!!

Please stop by and link up to this lovely party which was the first Blog Party that I ever linked up to over 11 years ago!!!

We had some really nice weather last week with high's in the 60's and it even got up into the 70's.....

We got an unexpected visitor when our grand pup, Faye, came to visit when her Mom and Dad were took her for a walk.....

She has grown enough that she can now jump up onto our ottoman and really liked it!!!!

Yes, she is in need of a grooming.......

I have to tell you that this smart little 6.5 pound ball of fluff has learned to take her shirts off.....

Jim and Danielle took a video to show us....

She grabs the neck of the shirt in her mouth and first wiggles one paw out and then the other, just like taking each leg out of a pair of pants Jim says, and then pulls it over her head with her teeth.....

She doesn't rip or tear them......

Just leaves them bunched up in a heap......

Joe has now trained her to go back in her crate for a cookie when it is time for us to go home after leaving her out to do her business when Jim and Danielle are working.....

Today, while I was downloading pictures from the camera to the computer to do this post, I was being watched!!!!

One morning dove was in our empty hanging pot in the corner of the patio while this one was perched here.......

We keep hoping that they will return and nest in that pot like they did several years ago......

They are such fun to watch!!!!

In previous posts, I shared how I organized thousands of photos using acid free plastic cases....

They are currently on sale for 70% off at Michael's for $12.59 each!!!

In my last post, I shared how I decorated our Living Room for Easter......

Click HERE if you missed that post....

I decorate the Dining Room for Easter in mainly a pink color theme......

I will be sharing half of the Dining Room today.......

We will start with the buffet which I have set up for an Easter Bunny Tea.......

When I used to do Victorian style crafts to sell on Ebay and at local craft fairs, I used to buy tablecloths for fabric as it was much cheaper than buying yardage.....

When I cleaned out my craft room in the beginning of the year, I wondered what I would do with all these cut up tablecloths.....

I trimmed the areas off that I had used to cut out patterns for my crafts and thought about what I could do with these pieces of tablecloths...

After looking at them, the thought came to me that I could use them to make table toppers and runners.....

So that is exactly what I did with what was left of this pretty Spring like tablecloth......

I made a runner for the buffet and a table topper, which you will see in my next post, for the round table in the corner of the Dining Room......

I trimmed them both off using a pretty white trim from my stash......

Love the pattern and colors, don't you?????

It was perfect for all the pastel colors of my Easter decorations......

Let's take a closer look at the buffet......

An Easter egg box that I embellished......

A sweet Bearington Bunny!!!!

A ceramic egg with my son Jim's name on it.....

 A Bunny Mug......

An egg shaped Bunny Plate on the shelf above the buffet......

On a cake pedestal......

A Bunny Tea Pot that I bought at a church flea market......

Underneath the cake pedestal.......

A Bunny Creamer resting on a vintage milk glass dish.....

 Bunny Salt and Pepper Shakers....

Another Bunny Mug......

And a ceramic egg with our son Joey's name on it......

This picture was taken with the fiberoptic Bunny Tree still working.....

After having this Tree for at least 10 years, the light bulb finally burned out......

I did not want to have to look for a fiberoptic light bulb since I don't even know if they make them anymore so sticking to my theme of not spending money buying things that I do not need, I remedied the situation by simply wrapping a set of battery operated fairy lights around the branches.......

Doesn't look too bad, huh????

Another Bearington Bunny!!!!

One more egg box that I embellished.....

Next to the buffet is a small curio.....

 On top of the curio.....

A vintage styled metal plaque......

A sweet Bunny Tea Pot gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie......

Next to the curio is the Hutch....

The top of the Hutch....

I bought the Bunny box at The Christmas Tree Shop......

The Victorian Lady figurines remind me of women in that time in the Easter Parade, showing off their new outfits for Easter......

A floral arrangement that I made in an Easter tin pocket that I bought at 90 % off in Michael's.......

The bunny on top of the egg ceramic was a gift from my Mother when I first got married for Easter.....

Hanging on the window divider between the Dining Room and the Living Room......

I made this wreath several years ago.....

And a cute sign that I bought at Big Lot's last year.....

And this is where we will end for today......

In my next post, I will be sharing the rest of the Dining Room decorated for Easter including my pink Easter Tree.......

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  1. Your bunny tea party is just adorable! Your rooms look like Spring has Sprung!!! I love the pastels and bright pinks.

Waiting on delivery of those photo keepers. I am obsessed. I placed my order yesterday. I woke up today and ordered . . . . FIVE more. I have five children and I think I need to start sorting ones for them to keep. I have lots of doubles and this will clear them out for now. I plan to "gift" them the boxes for Christmas! I am hoping to get some grandchildren to assist with the project over Christmas. I just have to plot where we are setting up. Luckily we won't be celebrating in a group. Although the hubs and I got our first shot, some of the kids and spouses have gotten theirs and some haven't.

  2. OMG ! That bunny tea party and ALL your bunnies throughout the house are gorgeous, my friend. I wish they sold bunnies around here, but they're very scarce on the market.
I love Spring and I just started with a green table, lol...
Happy St. Pat's and a lovely week.
