I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

A Red and Yellow Easter in the Kitchen

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I am sharing the rest of my Kitchen all decked out for Spring and Easter......

But first, I want to Thank, Barb, over at the French Ethereal, for featuring my post, An Easter Bunny Tea and More, from last week's Share Your Style Linky Party!!

Thanks so much, Barb!!

And I also want to Thank Beverly, over at How Sweet The Sound, for featuring my post, Gifts of Appreciation, as receiving the Most Clicks from last week's Anything Goes Pink Saturday Link Party!!!!

Thanks again, Beverly!!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!!

In my previous post, I shared what I call the focal wall in my Kitchen as it serves no other purpose other than for decoration......

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

In this post, I mentioned that I decorated the Kitchen for Easter in a red, green and yellow color theme and that last year, I threw some orange in with the addition of carrot items!!!!

I also mentioned that my Kitchen has a French Country Victorian vibe going on and I also brought back my Hens and Roos's that normally grace the Kitchen .....

So we will pick up where I left off......

On the side of the stove......

I did this project over the Winter.....

I love the fact that you get to change the flowers for the Seasons....

Spring like red towels hang on the side of the stove....

My collection of both vintage and new rolling pins in a vintage Planter's Peanut canister.....

I tucked some red berries and red faux geraniums in with the rolling pins.....

 Above the stove......

I covered a Home Interiors picture using a place mat from Dollar Tree.....

Bright colored towels hanging on the stove......

Never said I like to cook........

Where my Kitchen window used to be.....

I still treat this area as if there was a window there.....

I changed the valance to this red and white checked one that I made from a tablecloth last year.....

A spring flower swag hangs above the sign " Friends and Family Gather Here"

On the left side......

I hung a bow I made from black and white checked ribbon for the top of the tea cup chandy.......

I hung eggs and an Easter Bunny from the chandy......

The right side......

On the sill......

My Eastern European Pysanki Egg Collection......

The Egg was made by my MIL and says "Happy Easter" in Polish.....

I bought a bag of hand made Ukrainian Pysanky Eggs at a Church Flea Market for $3.00

When Joe went to a Byzantine Catholic school, he and the other students made Pysanky eggs for weeks before Easter for the Nuns to sell.....

If you want to read about Pysanky Eggs, please click HERE

I enjoy hanging seasonal wreaths on my Kitchen cupboard door.....

Another Home Interiors picture that I covered with a place mat.....

Click HERE if you would like to see the post on how I did it.....

I bought this egg wreath at Michael's one year for 90% off and I added more flowers to it including the red roses.....

I simply attached a bow made from the black and white checked ribbon to the top of the wreath.....

 In the corner........

2 German style paper mache eggs tucked into my wire tea cup planter.....

I bought the eggs in Tuesday Mornings a few years ago at 90 % off.....They were under a buck a piece!!!

My Beverage Center.......

I brightened it up a bit for Spring/Easter.......

The yellow place mat adds a pop of color......

I bought this sign at Gabes last year and embellished it.....

Vintage yellow and orange Fiestaware bowls hold sweetener and creamers.....

 The top of the refrigerator......

Again, I stuck with the red and yellow color theme......

The yellow Bunny was mine as a child.....

I hung a vintage style Bunny plaque in this black stand.....

I made the floral arrangement in this Easter bucket that I also bought at 90% off in Michael's one year.....

 Sweet Bunnies.....

 The counter bar......

I changed the garland above the counter bar to a spring like floral one......

And I intertwined a small seed bag garland that I must have bought over 10 years ago through the floral one.....

I hung another black and white checked bow in the center.....

Yellow fiestaware tea cups and saucers rest on top of red mercury glass candlesticks......

Another German styled paper mache egg....

A Spring runner replaced the Valentine's one on the counter.......

Behind the light.......

I hung the cafe curtain for the area under the microwave that I made from the same tablecloth that I made the valance from......

On the side of the counter bar......

I am no artist so I simply wrote "Happy Easter" on the chalkboard in green colored chalk......

I made this Easter plaque using an embroidery hoop last year......

In the corner......

I hope you enjoyed seeing my Kitchen decorated for Spring/Easter.......

  1. My granddaughter is still enthralled with the dollhouse! She sighed and said "That's so beautiful!". What a bargain on your collection of Polish Easter eggs! And what a wonderful collection it is. My husband is Polish, actually his grandparents on one side and great-grandparents on the other all immigrated from Poland (or whatever it was called the years they came). His parents spoke Polish but when they moved a few states away, only the oldest two girls were able to speak the language. They also have all the family keepsakes. My oldest daughter married a Polish boy from Toledo and his family attends a church that still makes homemade Puchkis to sell after mass the Sunday before Ash Wednesday. I have never asked her if they sell the eggs!

  2. SO pretty, as usual, but that floral wallpaper border is outstanding. Wow, I could just start at that all day long!! Happy Easter!

  3. Debbie: With the bird bath....there are multiple holes drilled in the bottom so would never work as a bird bath again. There are so rocks in the bowl to keep the dirt from clogging up the holes. It burns up from the heat and shallow dirt once it gets really hot so it is just a spring type thing. Hope that helps!
