A Pink Easter Tree and More.....

 Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

You can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing the rest of the Dining Room decorated for Easter including my pink Easter Tree.....

But first, I want to Thank Miss Merry, over at Miss Merry's House with the Picket Fence, for mentioning my post, A Trip Down Memory Lane, in her last Blog Post...

She ordered a total of 13 of the same photo boxes that I used so she could also give her children photos in their own boxes to take home along with organizing all of her own photos.....

Right now those photo boxes are on sale for only $14.99, down from $42!!!

When Miss Merry ordered hers, she bought them at 70 % off for $12.59 each!

Thanks so much for the Shout Out, Miss Merry!!!!!

I just had to share these pictures of our sweet little Grand Pup, Faye in her Jammies as our DIL Danielle calls them!!!!

Yes, she has jammie pants on!!!

That is her favorite seat in the house, right between Jim and Danielle on the sofa!!!

She is such a sweetie and is now trained to go back in her crate for a cookie when we come in the mornings to let her out when her Mom and Dad are working....

I took these pictures from the upstairs Sitting Room window.....

 Apparently, someone was visiting me......

Unfortunately, like I predicted, the Snow and Ice of this Winter took it's toll on several of my Urns out in the front of our house......

The large urns that we had on the retaining wall between our yard and my neighbor's yard finally fell apart......

I knew they were on their last leg.....

But I was lucky to have had them for 7 years after we rescued them from the garbage when our Church was throwing them out......

I think I will be spray painting the long planters black that I had on each side of this flower bed.....

The black urns that I had in front of each pillar in front of the porch also cracked so they bit the dust too......

One of my Goals this year is to shop my own house and not spend money on things that I do not need so I think I will be doing a lot of spray painting......

You may remember that my Powder Room was decorated with Snow Buddies for Christmas and for the Winter Season......

I packed them all away til next Holiday Season, cleaned and re-decorated the Powder Room in it's "normal" Elegant Lady theme.....

I will be sharing more of the Powder Room in a future post.....

It was our church's Spring Pasta Dinner this past Sunday.....

Instead of the usual Spaghetti and Meatballs, our church serves homemade fettucine and sausage....

Always so darn good.....

We bought our usual 5 dinners for our family!!

I made another batch of Banana Bread also on Sunday.....

I have been putting 1/4 tsp. of cinnamon in the batter and boy, does it make a difference in the taste.....

I also was a bit under the weather in the beginning of last week......

Change of Seasons always seems to kick in a Hashimoto's episode where I get incredibly cold, achy and have a headache....

That lasted for 2 days and then my IBS kicked in with an episode that lasted a little over a day.....

BUT I still managed, only at a much slower pace than my usual, to pack away Winter and Saint Patrick's Day decorations in the Den, clean the windows, hang the Spring/ Summer curtains and start to return the Den back to "normal".......

I hope to have it finished today even though I had hoped to finish it last week.....

So that is what has been new with me .....

In my last post, I shared the beautifully crafted gifts that my FB friend Angela gifted to me in appreciation of 3 boxes of craft supplies I gifted to her.....

I also shared her elegantly styled Victorian home....

In a previous post, I shared  part of our Dining Room decorated for Easter....

Today, I will be sharing the rest of the Dining Room all decked out for Easter.....

We will start in the corner where the 7 foot pencil thin Tree was for Christmas and Valentine's.....

It was packed up, put in it's body bag that I store it in and Joe took it down out Storage Shed where it will stay until this November......

With the Tree gone, this meant that my round "table" that I put in that corner  needed to make a come back.......

In a previous post, I mentioned that I had a lot of tablecloths left over that I used as the fabric for my Victorian styled crafts when I used to sell them on Ebay and at local Craft Fairs....

I decided to keep them and eventually make runners and table toppers out of what was left of them.....

I made this runner and table topper out of one of those tablecloths.....

I figured it would be the perfect colors for Spring in the Dining Room.....

This is my round "table" that I place in this corner when not having the larger Tree up......

Yep!!

It is an ugly plant stand with nothing but a glass table round on top......

I also like to store things underneath it.....

For now, I used a green tablecloth as the base because I thought it would show up the table topper nicely......

 And it did!!!

Next step was to get my pink Tree out of the Attic.....

This Tree has a set of Egg Lights, pink lights and pastel lights on it.....

I bought this Tree after Christmas many years ago in Walmart at 75% off for $5.00!!!

I then decorated it with an array of Easter and egg ornaments that I have collected over many years....

On the side of the table on a pedestal, stands a sweet Bunny!!

I bought this Hallmark Bunny at a church Flea Market for $3.00......

Hanging on the window divider between the Dining Room and the Living Room......

A plaque that I made last year.....

A Dollar Tree Spring butterfly and a vintage style plaque from Michael's...

A bow that I made from 3 different Easter ribbons tops this Tree...

I will let the pictures do the talking......

The white crosses on this Tree were also bought at a church Flea Market for $1.00 for a bag of them!

On the table underneath the Tree.....

Eggs, a chocolate Bunny and Egg and Bunny napkin holders.....

I made the Tree skirt.....

On a marble topped plant stand next to the Tree....

Another sweet Bunny rests on top of a vintage milk glass compote bowl......

More Bunnies sitting on top of a pink depression glass sandwich tray.....

Another Bunny and some bright pink eggs.....

 The corner by the Kitchen.....

The Funeral Basket that I decorate for each Holiday and Season.....

A spring floral arrangement......

On top of the marble topped table....

A vintage ceramic lamb planter filled with 2 eggs that I decoupaged with music sheet paper and embellished......

A Dollar Tree Happy Easter sign hangs from the top of the curio.....

On the cabinet next to the curio......

A sweet Bunny head that I placed inside of a pink mercury glass votive that was placed inside of a vintage crystal compote bowl..........

The pink carrots were bought years ago in Micheal's.....

The Easter Caroler children were bought at The Christmas Tree Shop several years ago....

More Bunny napkin holders that I bought in Gabes last year.....

And I changed the shades on the chandy to pink floral ones......

They were $1.00 each at The Christmas Tree Shop several years ago....

I added the beads to the bottom of them.....

And that completes my Tour of the Dining Room decorated for Easter .....

In my next post, I will be sharing how I decorated the Kitchen this year in shades of red, yellow and orange for Easter.....

  1. Hi Deb: Your little grandpup is adorable in the jammies. The pink tree looks just beautiful on your new topper you made. I don't know how you keep up and EVEN when you don't feel well. I am embarrassed to admit how I am coping with just winter. Thanks for all your lovely comments on my Christmas. I appreciate your kind words and the fact that you take the time to look at all of them..Stay well..xxoJudy

  3. Thanks for the shout out! I have received all my boxes of empty boxes from the my UPS driver who was required to get my signature for delivery. Now I need to figure out my plan of attack!

I don't know how you do all you do. My plan for Saturday morning was a deep clean of the bathroom, taking down (I am so embarrassed) all my Christmas bathroom decorations. I went to the linen closet to get out the spring shower curtain. I ended up emptying the entire closet, cleaning, refolding and reorganizing and did not find the shower curtain. I thought it had possibly gotten mixed up with tablecloths I store in a dresser in the guest room. I ended up emptying the dresser, folding and reorganizing and again, no shower curtain. Next I tried the antique baby dresser in my office where I store miscellaneous linens. Again, no success. I finally found it in my utility room, folded under a box on a shelf. This took the majority of my day. By Sunday night the bathroom was scrubbed, the Christmas bathroom was put away and the shower curtain was hung. I think you are Super Woman.

  4. Hi, Debbie. I think you covered everything in this post, except the kitchen SINK, lol. Loving your Elegant Lady powder room. AND, I'm with you on not purchasing anything. The only thing new here, might be plants. Though I have started lots of new plants and flowers to go out in the greenhouse, soon. Everything will be made over or reused in some way. That's the wonderful thing about not advertising---is not having to go out and buy stuff to advertise and sell....why so much NEW is required to function in blogland now. Hugs, and your planters will look great Black. Hugs, and Happy Spring, you sure are ready! Sandi

  5. The table topper on the plant stand table makes all the difference in the world. I don't purchase new either. I can shop the basement and still leave things down below. (I will get new annuals, of course.) Love the grand pup! And like Miss Merry, I don't see how you do all you do. Your energy must be boundless!

  6. Too funny! While I was heading here to, of course, check out your pink Easter tree I had every intention of hunting through your site to find out what those photo storage bins were that you used as a few of my photo albums fell apart this past weekend. Now I know!! Just ordered 5 of them to start tackling all our family photos. I think they'll take up much less room than all the albums that no one looks through anyway.

  10. All these colored trees I've been seeing online inspired me to pick up a table top purple one after Christmas. I've had it decorated for St. Patrick's day and Easter now and I love it because its just large enough for full sized ornaments rather than the mini trees I've had in the past.

    Thanks for sharing your decorations.
