I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

But first.....

 Thanks so much, Angie!!

I also want Thank, Richella, over at Grace at Home, for choosing my post, Pink Valentine's in the Dining Room, as one of her features from last week's Imparting Grace Link Party!!

Thanks again, Richella and also thanks for your sweet words too!!

And I want to Thank Amy, over at A Day of Small Things, for choosing the same post, Pink Valentine's in the Dining Room, as her feature from last week's Friday Favorites Link Party!!!

 Thanks again, Amy!!

Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!!

I have been working on a huge project where I am transferring photos from those awful magnetic photo albums into acid free cases......

While doing this, along with going through trying to date many more photos still in envelopes that never made it into albums, I am throwing out a lot of photos that I think are of no importance or would be to my sons when Joe and I are gone.......

Each case holds 16 cases that hold 100 pictures each.....

For now, just for the sake of getting this project done, I am roughly marking each case according to year and putting a piece of paper inside naming the events and dates of the pictures inside.....

At a later date, after I get all the photos into these cases, I will go through each small case again , weed out and print up labels on the computer.....

This was a project that I originally started over 2 years ago before I had my knee surgery when I had to stop working.....

I will keep you posted on my progress......

On Friday, like every Friday, our son Joey treated us to dinner......

We ordered pizza  from WhattheSam Hill's brick Oven Pizza again and this time we got the deep dish brick oven pizza......

It was so good!!!!

Joey got an order of nice plump juicy wings for himself......

Our little Grand pup Faye had surgery this past week with being Spayed, micro chipped and even had a tooth pulled that did not want to come out!!!

She is doing just fine now and back to her old self, full of boundless energy!!!

Her shirt says "Cupis is Stupid"!!!

LOL!!

We are getting an ice, snow and freezing rain storm over the next few days.......

Otherwise, that I all that is new in my neck of the woods......

I have shared my dear friend, Anne Marie's house with you several times before decorated for different Holidays.....

Since I have not seen Anne Marie since February of last year, I have not been able to see her lovely home in person.....

She has been kind enough though to send me pictures so I can share it with all of you!!!!

So here is Anne Marie's home decorated for Winter/Valentine's....

She said she didn't do much as she works long hours in an eye Doctor's office but I think she did a fantastic job even though she has a tough work schedule!!!!

These are her own words explaining what and where things are.....

 "Snowmen in my kitchen"

In her Living Room......

These are on the shelves of her TV Entertainment center.......

"Antique snow babies, postcards and vintage bottle brush trees"

"First picture is that T& V Limoges Holly Berry China and in the middle is a tile depicting an image of an antique postcard"

" Second picture are my Rosbro plastic snowmen from the 50s with an antique postcard."

" Then my Homer Laughlin Holly pitcher and an antique postcard and the clear things that look like jars are Victorian fairy lights; you put candles in them but I don’t have candles in them right now."

"Next picture is the lid from a symphonion"

"Then you have another shelf that has the Holly Berry China again with the tile depicting an old postcard in the middle."

"And I don’t know why I’m into Calendar plates but I am. This one is from 1910 and I put it up for Valentine’s Day because of the cherubs."

"The next picture: a small round box with two little dolls that are called mignonettes. They’re from the early 1900s. They are small probably 3 inches. They were made that small so that a child could keep it in her pocket and have a doll to play with."

On a chair in her Living Room......

On a table in the Living Room....

"Two vintage Lefton heart boxes with Cupids"

 The pump organ.

"Vintage candy boxes and a honeycomb heart garland and Cupid sheet music"

"These are the shelves in my side by side."

"Top one has a celluloid box."

" It has autumn leaves and holly leaves."

"Then more calendar plates."

"These snow babies are from the 80’s."

" They were my aunt’s."

"Then there’s an ermine muff a postcard with a woman in her ermine and a Royal Daulton figurine in her ermine coat."

"The full side by side and the top of it"

"My hall tree."

" I kept the white tree there and put Valentine ornaments on it."

" Another honeycomb heart garland. And some antique honeycomb valentine cards."

"The blow mold Snowoman is probably only 3 feet tall. She is on top of that safe/table by my stairway"

On her Dining Room table.......

"I took the Vaseline depression set and the reindeer off the tray and replaced it with this ice-skating doll from the 40s"

"Antique postcard and the book is from the early 1900s and of course you know I had the antique skates from Christmas"

On her buffet......

"These are the German candy containers that I had on the mantle for Christmas. I just moved them to the buffet in the dining room"

The mantle on her fire place in the Dining Room

"And I have the snowmen on my mantle with those bare looking trees in the background and snowballs"

"Of course my Cupid!"

 LOL!!"

Her sweet mini poodle Autumn all decked out for the Holiday!!!!

You can see Anne Marie's reflection in Autumn's glasses!!!

On Friday, I found a surprise on my front porch!!!!

Anne Marie was working down in my area as her employer has offices all over the area but was crunched for time on the way home so she dropped off my Christmas presents and messaged me afterward......

These are the lovely things that she gifted  me.....

This sweet snow man.......

This stunning antique calendar plate from 1909

This lovely red velvet sleigh......

And this Cynthia Hart calendar which I can not find around here at all......

She gifted one to me last year too!!!

Here is where I put the Snow Man!!

She sad she bought me one with a shovel as she knows how much I love to shovel!!!!

The red velvet sleigh

Perfect for one of my Bearington Bears!!!

And my calendar!!!

Thanks SO MUCH, my sweet friend!!!

  1. Anne Marie's home is just lovely. Her snowman collection is so fun and she really has skill at decorating. I love her vintage valentines, too.

I am interested in updates to your photo sorting. I started that project a few years ago and really need to get back to it. I ended up packing it all back up again and it needs to be restarted from the beginning.

My first decision was to throw away 50 years of pictures of my mother and my grandmother's cats as well as pictures of their flowers every spring. I think I filled a trash bag with just those.
