I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing the rest of the Den decorated for Winter.....

But first, I want to Thank to Katie, over at Let's Add Sprinkles, for choosing my post, Anne Marie's Christmas Home Tour, as one of her features from last week's Keep In Touch Link Party!!!!

Thanks again, Katie!!

Thanks , Niky, over at The House on Silverado, for choosing my post, Christmas Celebrations and Tablescapes, as one of her features from last week's Sundays on Silverado Link Party!!!

Thanks so much, Niky!!

Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!

I want to share with you something that our son, Joey, gifted to us since he treats us to Take Out every Friday because he eats dinner here daily......

Joe has been looking for an insulated pizza bag for quite some time now so we could get Take Out from places a little further away from our home......

It has a fairly thick layer of insulation......

And opens up nicely so you can even put bags of food inside for Fast Food if you wanted to.....

We tried it out on Friday when we ordered pizza from a place about 15- 20 minutes away from us.....

We definitely give it a huge Thumbs Up!!

The Pizza was nice and hot and it was delicious......

This one had bacon on it.....

And this one was just a plain one.....

The name of the Pizza place is unique and was recommended by our neighbor, Ed.....

Whatinthe Sam Hill's Brick Oven Pizza!!

The owners name is really Sam Hill!!

Joey bought the insulated bag on Amazon......

In a previous post, I shared the "Forest and the Trees" part of the Winter Wonderland that I created in the Den.....

Click HERE if you missed that post....

In this post, I will be showcasing the Village part of the Winter Wonderland...

After all, at the edge of every Forest is a Village or two, right????

We'll start with the Village underneath my Winter Snow and Ice Tree.....

I kept out the vintage putz houses from Christmas and added houses that I bought at Sears many years ago......

I also bought this Alpine church, house and bridge at Sears....

On the side of the Tree is my Thomas Kinkade Seasonal Clock...

I changed up the greenery for Winter.....

I hung large snow flakes from the valances.......

On top of the computer armoire, is another Village......

I kept out all of my Thomas Kinkade houses from Christmas.....

I added some snow balls......

And pine cones......

A few simple changes to change a Christmas Village into a Winter Village.........

I shared this Tree in my post about the "Forest and the Trees".....

Below it is a small table.....

In the Villages, there are houses......

In the corner, is Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House......

I will be sharing more of Nelson Crest decorated for Winter in a future post.....

I kept up the Thomas Kinkade cards that I taped over this picture......

And I kept out the Village that I set up in the china cupboard......

I added a few things to the top of the china cupboard after I put away items related to Christmas.....

The Ice church stayed out.......

I moved a few figures up to the top of the china cupboard......

And added an Avon Currier and Ives pitcher.....

The Ice house also stayed out.......

And I added an Avon Currier and Ives tea pot......

My Thomas Kinkade calendar now has the January plate in place.....

I also added a Winter wreath and white jingle bells to the side of the china cupboard.....

I switched out the white feather Tree decorated with ornaments for a battery operated Tree that I had in the Living Room for Christmas.....

More pine cones and a cute doll dressed in blue velvet.........

I left the inside of the china cupboard as it was for Christmas with skaters and sleigh riders.....

Again, I switched out a Bearington Christmas Bear for a nice dapper snow man......

And he even brought his Penguin friend along......

Another dapper looking snow man......

On the side of the china cupboard.......

 A pair of white skates......

Another battery operated Tree and snow man.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing the Villages in the Winter Wonderland....

I spend most evenings here in the Den especially now with the return of Hockey season for Joe as he is watching it in the Living Room.....

This is what my Winter Wonderland looks like in the evening......

You can see why I enjoy sitting here in the Den, watching TV especially since Joey hooked up almost every streaming service know to man for me.....

I hope you enjoyed seeing both the "Forest and the Trees and the "Villages" in my Winter Wonderland....

In my next post, I will be sharing Winter Blues with a Few Red Hearts in the Powder Room.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  1. Oh Debbie what a beautiful tour of your winter decor. I love all of the winter whites and your trees and villages are darling. I love the little tree in the transferware tureen too. You always have the greatest ideas and I always leave with ideas for my home. Thank you so much for inspiring. Hugs.

  3. The pizza bag is a wonderful idea...we are so needing to get out here, even if it is just to pick up supper somewhere! I wonder if our insulated grocery bags will do it...? You still sure have a lot of stuff up still, I don't envy you taking it all down. Hugs and holding through the winter here, Sandi

  4. That is one impressive insulated delivery bag, makes sense to keep a takeaway warm. It was a joy to visit your blog today and see all the changes to your decor. So much to look at and admire, the villages are a delight. I also loved the ice skates and the display around them.

  5. I love your winter wonderland village. But I am really in love with your pizza bag LOL. We picked up hamburgers and fries from a steakhouse where we still had a gift card. Since we live in a small town, anything except fast food has to travel home in our trunk. I did use an elaborate system with cooler that kept our lunch warm for the ride home, but this would be even better! I may have to do some browsing on Amazon.

  8. Debbie the nighttime views with the twinkle lights must give you a real sense of calm. Fun to see your little putz houses. I think we have some of the same ones. I have a few that a friend gave me years ago. It's fun to keep these snowy rooftop houses out for winter. Happy January!
