I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

A Bit of Winter Crafting

  Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I want to mention that since Blogger changed to a new format for posting, if you can click on each picture if you care to enlarge it......

Today, I will be sharing some Winter Crafting that I recently had time to do.....

But first, I want to Thank Beverly, over at Across the Blvd., for choosing my post, Winter Front Porch and Yard,  as one of her Winter Decorating Ideas features from last week's Snickerdoodle Create, Bake and Make Link Party!!!!

Thanks so much, Beverly!!!

And I also want to Thank Linda, over at Life and Linda, for choosing my post, It Takes a Village or Two, as one of her features from last week's Love Your Creativity Link Party!!!

 Thanks again, Linda!!!

Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!!

Our Grand Pup little Faye is doing so well.....

She has quite a personality.....

We go 5 mornings a week to take her outside when our son Jim and our daughter-in-law Danielle are working.....

She loves to play and will almost jump into her bin of toys, taking one out for us to use to play with her.......

Jim and Danielle bought those 2 rope toys and the next day, she couldn't wait to take that big one out of her toy bin, even thought it is almost twice the size of her, and bring it to us to play with her.....

Jim and Danielle have bought her quite a wardrobe.....

 I love her little Tutu.....

And I got the biggest kick out of this one because Jim and Danielle don't really drink!!!

They said they bought more outfits so I can't wait to see them.....

In my last post, I shared how I decorated this part of the Kitchen for Winter/ Valentine's.....

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

I was going to share the rest of my Kitchen decorated for Winter/ Valentine's but I decided to do a bit of Crafting over the weekend and I thought I would share what I did.......

I painted a bunch of paper mache and wooden snow flakes that I had in my stash....

Before I go any further, I want to mention that I bought another glue gun since 3 of mine died within a few days......

I recently bought this one which will stay in my Craft Room.......

And I used some of the money that Jim and Danielle gifted me for Christmas to buy this one at Harbor Freight....

This one will be the one I use if I want to do a bit of crafting downstairs on the Dining Room table.....

I decided to embellish  some using Scrabble pieces that I had in my stash......

I used 2 snow flakes as a back ground for the bird houses that I hung from the valance above the sink........

I also hung a few snow flakes here.......

And I decided to use 2 of the paper mache ones on a Winter Kitchen Wreath.....

You may remember that I bought 2 muffin pans in Dollar Tree before Christmas to use in Crafting....

This is the Christmas Wreath that I made with one of the pans......

And  this is the Winter one that I made.....

I painted the pan red and then painted snow man faces on it......

I made a bow from red plaid and red cardinal ribbon that I had in my stash.....

Again, I used Scrabble pieces to spell out a few words.....

 SNOW and ICE

I attached a plaid snow man's hat to the top of the pan......

I also attached a snow man that I had......

And I spelled out COLD on the pan itself......

I attached a white and red striped ribbon to it to hang it.....

I am very happy with how it came out ....

I also found an evergreen swag in my stash so I made another bow and simply added a red berry and pine cone stem on each side to create this Winter swag......

Again, using things that I already have in my Craft Stash....

Several years ago, I bought a few Grab Bags at Michael's after Valentine's Day....

They used to make up grab bags after merchandise was marked down to 90% off and did not sell.....

6 of these frames were in the bags.....

In 2019, when I was home waiting to have my knee surgery, I made these plaques for the Kitchen using pot holders and 4 of those frames....

I decided to use the remaining 2 to make Winter ones for the Kitchen.....

I took the original fabric out of the center.....

I bought these red snow flake pot holders at Dollar Tree.....

I cut it down to the size to fit, glued it to the frame and embellished it with white gimp trim, red rose bud trim , red ribbon roses and a bow made from red striped ribbon.....

 I hung them here.....

And I did one more project that I wanted to do for some time now.....

I saw this on Pinterest and I bought the grater in Dollar Tree last Fall.....

I hung it upside down from a clear command hook.....

I tucked some Winter florals into the top and hung a Valentine's towel from the handle.....

It was great to have the time to do some crafting that I wanted to do and I continue to thoroughly enjoy all the time I now get to spend "playing" in my home!!

In my next post, I will finish the Winter/Valentine's tour of my Kitchen.....
