I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

Word of the Month for September, JOYFUL!!!

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!

I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

I bet you thought I forgot to post my Word of the Month for September since the month is almost half over!!!

I didn't but I have just been busy and have lately had a bit of drama in our lives but all is well.....

First, I want to Thank, Bev, over at Eclectic Red Barn, for choosing my post, Late August, This and That, from last week's Over the Moon Linky Party!!

 Thanks so much, Bev!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party!!!

POSITIVITY is what I chose as my Theme for this Year......

Little did I know how important it would be to remain POSITIVE this Year!!!!

I am choosing to maintain this theme by only posting positive things here on my Blog and also on my face book page.....

I choose to post Positivity on this Blog and especially out there on social media like face book, over all the Political Rants, Mask Pro and Cons Rants, Naming Calling and Making Fun of Political Leaders no matter what Political Party they belong to, sharing of Fake News without checking the actual facts before posting and bashing of Businesses even though those businesses may be barely surviving!!!

I choose to take the higher road, rising above all that nonsense and frankly, childishness, and not feed into and spread the anger and hate!!

I have had enough......

I am CHOOSING to scroll through and not read any of these posts.....

 I choose POSITIVITY!!

My Word of the Month for August was BREATHE!!

August was the month that I took time to just BREATHE......

"to pause and rest before continuing"

And I did BREATHE......

I enjoyed doing a bit of reading especially while sitting on our front porch before watching some gorgeous Sunsets...

I did do some deep cleaning and shared our bedroom after I finished it.....

And HERE if you missed those posts......

And I completed a huge project where I cleaned and organized our Storage Room, checking it off my 2-3 Year To Do List!!

Click HERE If you missed that post.....

And with slightly cooler temps. and lower humidity, I was able to enjoy the back Patio and even my Cottage Garden made a bit of a come back from the disgusting heat!!!

Click HERE if you missed that post.....

So all in all, August was a good month where I did get a lot of things done but with also taking the time to just sit and BREATHE!!!

But now that it is September, that means it is Fall in my book!!!

I go by Meteorological Fall which starts on September 1st!!!

And with the onset of Fall, that means the end of the END of the Heat and Humidity of this record breaking Summer that kept me in the house most of the time!!

So that helped me in deciding what my Word of the Month for September would be......

JOYFUL!!!!!!

Now what exactly does JOYFUL mean.....

joy·ful

feeling, expressing, or causing great pleasure and happiness.

experiencing, causing, or showing joy : happy.

I chose JOYFUL because I LOVE Fall and it is my favorite Season of the year.....

With the start of September, the Holiday Season starts for me!!!!

 I

I consider the Holiday Season starting in September with Fall and Halloween decorating, which I have already begun......

The Front Porch and Yard has been decorated for early Fall/Halloween after I packed up most of the Summer Front Porch and yard things.....

And I already decorated the Kitchen for Fall/Halloween......

And the Holiday Season continues with Christmas, Winter and Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and ends with Easter....

I will be JOYFUL with the cooler weather, the changing colors of the Trees, the warm bright colors of Fall, and changing the interior decor of our house creating a nice warm and cozy feeling for the coming months.....

I also hope that I will be able to spend time with family and friends in the coming months and that makes me feel JOYFUL!!!!!!

I have a lot of Seasonal work to do in the house for September like putting away Air conditioners, cleaning windows and changing curtains and drapes along with linens, decorating for Fall and Halloween both inside and out, garden and patio clean up, etc.....

But I will be JOYFUL about it as my favorite Time of the Year is now beginning!!!!

Will you chose to be JOYFUL about the new Season??????

I will have lots to share in the coming weeks.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

  4. I am just starting to put out Autumn decor. Not gonna do a lot. Wreath and few pumpkins maybe. Your decor is so festive and colorful. All of your above choices spoken about are so TRUE! I have never stopped doing what I like. I never called it lock down. I have grand girls I watch and I want them to remain happy and positive. I never stopped going and doing what I like. Lately it's been rock collecting. I have always loved rocks and so does my girls. Sea glass and shell hunting we so much love!!!!! Face book has always been full of stuff. I like the rock hounding sites and now I have noticed that blogs are showing up more about subjects I like more. Maybe some are dumping the facebook thing. I am off today to get mums for the planters and childrens playhouse. Happy Monday to you enjoyed your pretty page today.

  7. I do hope your September is joyful dear lady. I have a little wooden sign that sits on my desk at the office that says, CHOOSE JOY! Some days that is exactly what we have too do! Hope your drama is over. I don't like drama and try to stay away from it as much as possible. But sometimes, it just seems to find us doesn't it? Loved looking at your pictures. As always girl...you outdo yourself. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  9. Fabulous post, Debbie. Your porch looks gorgeous and so does your front flower garden. So much inspiration. Your kitchen is divine; I love the pops of yellow throughout and your hutch is so stinking cute. Now I want to redecorate mine again. It sure was a joy to see your fall decorating . Thank you for always being positive and an inspiration. Hugs, Melisa

  11. I love your word...honestly I was out picking beans at the top of the ladder and humming Ode to Joy...which encompasses so much that word. Exhubrance...happiness, a zest for life...and the music builds...sorry I was a violin player in many orchestras. Can't help but smile with JOY! Thanks, Sandi
