The"Beach" Beneath the "Under the Sea" Tree, 2020

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

In a previous post, I shared how I decorated the Tree in the Living Room in my late Summer"Under the Sea" theme.....
Click HERE if you missed that post.....

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the platform that the Tree rests on......
I created a "Beach" under the Tree.....
I cut an older ivory tablecloth to cover the platform........
On the left side of the platform, on a wicker stool, that I covered with a white vintage crocheted table topper, I placed this urn on top of a mirror............
I tucked white, aqua and peach flowers into the faux boxwood ball that I placed inside the urn.....
I have a set of lights wrapped around the boxwood ball.......

I placed shells, some that I embellished, and an apothecary bottle filled with sand and shells that I embellished with a bow made from aqua and peach ribbon and aqua sequinned trim that I bought in the Dollar bins at Michael's several years ago.....
On the left side.....
A few years ago, I made this plaque out of a burlap covered cardboard that I bought at Michael's....
I filled a yard sale bottle with sand and shells, embellishing it on the bottom with aqua sequined trim.....
I cut a piece of burlap to wrap around the base of the Tree.....
In 2017 when I first came up with this idea to decorate the Living Room in this theme, I embellished  2 large shells...
This large piece of coral was in my neighbor Elly's house when we cleaned it out for her sons......
As I mentioned in my previous post, it is because of the shells that she collected while living in Miami during the Winters, which her sons were going to throw out.....
That I came up with my "Under the Sea" theme in order to do something with all these shells that she meticulously cleaned and separated by size!!!

I bought this mermaid 2 years ago on Clearance in Boscov's.....
The "beach" has shells, both plain and embellished, scattered about on it......
And nautical candles that I added more shells to.....
The driftwood was also my neighbor Elly's.....
I also strung a set of battery operated light throughout the "Beach"!
The right side.......
The other shell that I embellished......
I will say that when I filled the large shells with all those smaller ones, I did not realize how heavy they would be!!!
Another plaque that I made.....
I bought this light up anchor 3 years ago in Big Lot's on clearance, of course.....
Another bottle that I filled with sand and shells and embellished.....
I hope you enjoyed seeing the "Beach" underneath my "Under the Sea" Tree......
I truly enjoyed decorating in this theme for the Late Summer.....

In my next post, I will be sharing more of my "Under the Sea" decorations in the Living Room......
I will be including my Personal Notes in my next post.....

It has been a rough week.....

Joe has been sick all week and if you know anything about Joe is that he never ever gets sick....

We believe it was a reaction to a change in his medication as he had 5-6 of the possible side effects...

Both my son Joey and I also had side effects from this medication so in hindsight, I should have known better and said NO to the change in medication.....

I stopped the medication 4 days ago and Joe is feeling better each day as I believe the effect of the medication is slowly wearing off......

It was so bad that I was anticipating a trip to the ED if he did not get better after being told what to do by the Dr. in a telephone visit.....

Needless to say, the stress of all of this triggered an acute IBS attack for me which will now take me a few weeks to recover from......

But such is life.......

I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
