Patriotic China Cupboard

Welcome to Debbie-Dabble Blog!!
I am so happy you decided to stop by!!

Today, I will be sharing how I decorated the china cupboard in the Den for the Summer and added a few Patriotic decorations to it......
The color theme of the den is ivory, burgundy and blue so it works really well with Patriotic decor.....

Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House in in the corner on a table in the Den....
Nelson Crest is also decorated for the Patriotic Holidays and I will be sharing her all decked out in her finery in future post.....
I also like to decorate the area underneath and around the china cupboard too......
And I will be sharing that area in my next post.......
Since the Den is decorated in the colors of blue, burgundy and ivory, I like to use red and blue transferware in this room........

Let's look at the top of the china cupboard......
A blue transferware pitcher and a set of red transferware creamer and sugar bowl.......
I bought a few blue and white birds at Michael's a few years back.....
More birds, a bird nest and a few eggs.......
I bought the "America the Beautiful" sign for $1.00 on clearance in Gabes last year......
The colors of the sign were perfect for this room.......
A red transferware tea cup and saucer....
A Brain Baker Lighthouse to match the lighthouse in the picture that hangs above the china cupboard.....
And of course, an American flag......
My Thomas Kinkade calendar with the plate for June.......
A wooden garden glove hangs on top of the china cupboard.....
"A Thyme to Reap"......
A blue glove that I embellished and a vintage style reproduction chimney flue, which hangs on the left side of the china cupboard........
On the other side is a bow I made from Patriotic ribbon.......
And a plaque that I made from a vintage style July 4th postcard......
Inside the china cupboard is some of my red and blue transferware Collection......
I  just learned that the Volunteers of America Thrift Store in Wilkes Barre is now closed permanently.......
Sad to hear that as we did donate quite a bit of things there as donations stayed in the area to be used for people in need along with in their store......

I also liked to shop there and I bought a good majority of my blue transferware there.......

Top shelf.....
The middle shelf.....
The bottom shelf....
The miniature pieces are actually ornaments......
The inside of the china cupboard is lit with battery operated puck lights......
In my next post, I will be sharing how I decorated the area underneath and around the china cupboard......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again soon!!
