Winter is still hanging on here in NEPA!!!!!
The 2nd Nor' Easter to hit us in less than a week was a fizzle and even though initially huge snow totals were predicted, it never came this far inland and all we got was a little over 3 inches......
More storms are predicted for the upcoming week but they might miss us.......
We will see.......
Along with seasonally normal high temps. in the 40's we may not be seeing any signs of Spring until April but that is normal for us here in NEPA......
In my last post, I shared how I repurposed some of the decorations I used to decorate this larger Tree for St. Patrick's Day after deciding not to decorate this Tree any more for St. Pat's.......
I used a lot of the ornaments inside the China Cupboard in the Den......
And I added green and white carnations and shamrock picks to this shamrock......
And to this wreath......
In this post, I will be sharing how a decorated a smaller Tree and also how I decorated under the china cupboard.......
But first, I want to Thank Beverly, from Across The Blvd, for featuring my past St. Patrick's Day posts in her post, St. Patrick's Day Crafts, Decor and Activities Round Up and on her St. Patrick's Day Crafts and Treats Pinterest Board!!!
Thanks so much, Beverly!!!!
Please visit and link up to the Snickerdoodle party on Saturdays.....
I also want to Thank Richella, over at Imparting Grace , for featuring my post, A Milestone and Whether to Blog or Not, from last week's Grace at Home Party!!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
I decided to decorate this small white Tree that I decorate in the Craft Room for Christmas......
For St. Patrick's Day this year and in the future........
I was able to use some of the ornaments that I had used to decorate the larger Tree.......
I topped this small Tree with a Leprechaun Hat which is a party favor.......
I used some green and a few gold ball ornaments......
And some of the small St. Patrick's Day ornaments that I have......
Shamrocks.....
A Leprechaun.......
Angels.......
And more shamrocks....
This Tree is displayed on a small table next to the china cupboard......
Around the base of the tree........
A vintage St. Pat's post card, a St. Patrick ornaments and a Pot of Gold........
Behind the Tree is a Vintage styled plaque bought a few years ago at Dollar Tree......
This is the Tree that I will continue to decorate for St. Patrick's Day until I decide to downsize........
Underneath the Tree........
Sitting on a chair that I covered with a St. Patrick's dish towel, is this sweet Irish Lass......
Isn't she pretty.........
Underneath the china cupboard are 2 vintage suitcases that I like to use as a base for seasonal decorations........
On the top suitcase........
A Tea Cup and saucer in the vintage Olde Curiosity Shop pattern with a hand made ornament inside of it.........
Another sweet bear dressed for the occasion!!
Because of the saying on the card, there is an angel on the shelf above it......
And another angel ornament on the side of it.......
A vintage styled plaque bought several years ago at Michael's......
Hanging on the open door of the china cupboard.......
Another plaque from Dollar Tree......
Inside the bowl is a St. Ptrick's Day card and a Pot of Gold.......
On the bottom suitcase.......
Another vintage post card......
And another Leprechaun ornament with a Pot of Gold......
Another St. Pat's ornament......
A vintage St. Patrick's Day cup.......
Another vintage post card......
Another vintage styled plaque bought at Michael's.......
A tea pot and a shamrock ornament.......
And one more vintage post card......
These vintage post cards were gifted to me by my friend, Anne Marie........
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I repurposed some of the St. Patrick's Day decorations that I had once used to decorate a larger Tree........
As I mentioned in my previous post, NEPA has a very rich Irish heritage and celebrates St. Patrick's Day with parades and events for the ENTIRE month of March!!!!!!
I kid you not!!!
The parade in Scranton, Pa. is the 10th largest St. Patrick's Day parade in the country.......
These are photos from past years.......
So how could I not decorate for St. Patrick's Day even though we have absolutely no Irish in our blood!!
But the saying goes " Every one is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!"
And I also want to show you how pretty the Trees in my back yard looked after the last snowfall......
The trees on the side of our road......
Truth be told, I JUST finished packing away Valentine's decorations and still have to pack away Winter decorations in the Den and Kitchen!!!!
Because of Joe falling on ice and fracturing his rib and wrist, I am hauling everything up and down from the attic myself with my bad back and knee so I am moving at a slower pace than I usually would with his help........
He had more Xrays done of his wrist and now is wearing a splint that is immobilizing his thumb........
He may be able to return to work as a part time cashier at Wegman's after his next appointments
on April 2nd......
Since he fell on Valentine's Day which was also Ash Wednesday and may be able to return to work the week after Easter, he is telling everyone that he gave up working for Lent!!!!!
I hope to start to decorate for Easter this weekend as this is the week when I work 4 days in a week and finish next week when I only work 3 days........
This year, I will be decorating the same Tree in the Living Room that I have decorated for Fall......
Christmas........
And Valentine's.....
Instead of the white Tree that I have been decorating for Easter for the past few years.....
I will explain in my next post when I return with some Easter decorations........
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......
And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!
If you do not have a blog, PLEASE give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment. If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Wow, it looks like your area really celebrates St Patricks Day.....how neat! I love the way you've repurposed all the decor from your big tree....you have some beautiful and unique decorations. I'm looking forward to your Easter tree...hugs....
ReplyDeleteI love that your tree is a multi-season tree. My favorite is the Fall decorated season. It would be wonderful if it were fall all year long.
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful!Love the vintage cards!Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness dear friend, you do have the most amazing things to decorate your gorgeous St. Pat's tree !
ReplyDeleteThe area you have destined for the green decorations is fabulous. I could stare at it all day with so much eye candy.
Happy St. Pat's Day.
Fabby
Well--Hands down that is the most fantastic display of all things Irish I have ever seen!!! You have knocked it out of the ballpark this time!
ReplyDeleteLOL about hubby giving up work for Lent. Wish I could do that---but not at the same expense as him.
Have a wonderful weekend- xo Diana
Saint Patrick's Day brings out the Irish in me, Debbie. I really enjoy seeing all the ways people celebrate the day. Your decorations are so pretty. Poor Joe, I truly sympathize! I thought I'd never get back on 2 feet again after the stress fracture of the navicula in my foot and I'm still paranoid at the thought that it might happen again. Please give him my regards. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You have outdone yourself again! These are soooooooooooo cute! I love that little pot of gold.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your next project!
That is a lot of work to do all by yourself, love the bears and the vintage cards! Wishing Joe a quick recovery, and take it easy on your back and knee, I understand that I have the same problems with mine. Glad the storm didn't pile too much on you
ReplyDeleteYour seasonal decor is always fun, Debbie! I love the tree!
ReplyDeleteWow how nice. I am sure you'll have lots of the Irish luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by. I meant to stop in yesterday and let you know I was mentioning you and
I didn't get a chance. My computer is so slow most days it takes forever to do anything.
Thanks for coming by and visiting, commenting and linking at the party.
I hope you have a great week.
I'll try to come back by during the week.
Debbie, So sorry to have been absent for a while. Family issues have been keeping me from the blog. Wanted to stop by to see all your beautiful St. Patrick's Day decorations! Hope the spring weather finds you soon!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, you have so many wonderful collections. Luck of the irish smiles upon you. Thanks for sharing your pretty collection at Dishing It & Digging It.
ReplyDeleteWow Debbie you win the prize for the best and most Irish decor. You have some fun and very pretty St. Patty's day things. Hope you have the luck of the Irish this week. Enjoy celebrating.

Your little tree is so cute, and I adore your little Irish Lass bear!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Carol
I hope the arm is healing. Your collection of vintage postcards is phenomenal. I love it. Thanks for linking to Keep In Touch.
ReplyDeleteHope you arm is healing fast!! Lovely St. Patrick's Day decor! Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I had to laugh when I read that Joe is telling everyone that he gave up working for Lent. That's classic. I do hope that he's feeling better though and that all is well when he goes for his next appointment too. Try not to put to much strain on your back Debbie. Lugging hose boxes up and down the stairs can't be good for you either. Take it easy and stay safe and warm my friend
