"The Beach" Beneath my "Under the Sea" Tree

Welcome!!!

Today, I will be sharing the "Beach" Beneath my Summer "Under the Sea" Tree.........

But first, I want to Thank Colleen over at The Butterfly Attic and Darlene over at Let It Shine!, who are the Creative Hosts for the You're The Star Blog Hop, for featuring my post, Newly Crafted Patriotic Ornaments,  from the July party!!!
Thanks so much, Colleen and Darlene, for the feature and thanks to all the hosts of this great monthly party!!

I also want to Thank Beverly, over at Across the Blvd, for featuring my post, "Under the Sea" Ornaments, Part 1, from last week's Brag About It Linky Party!!!
 Thanks so much, Beverly!!

Please stop by and link up to these great parties!!
In my previous post, I shared my newly decorated Summer "Under the Sea" Tree!!
I am especially proud of this decorated Tree because I made all the ornaments for it!!
Please click HERE if you missed that post......

I decided to decorate beneath the Tree as if it was a Beach...........
You usually find all kinds of shells on the beach, don't you??????

So I placed all types of shells, both plain and embellished, on 3 round mirrors......
Over on the left side.......
This large shell was actually out in our yard!!!!!
It was my neighbor Elly's, who lived in Miami over the Winters and collected tons of shells......

She now resides in a Nursing Home because of Alzheimer's and I rescued all those shells because her sons were going to throw them out!!

I soaked this large shell in bleach after picking it out of my back yard flower bed!!!!
I then glued a bunch of smaller shells inside of it..........
Dressed it up with aqua glitter..........
And added beaded trim and gold trim.........
It looks a lot better than it did out in the yard!!!
This embellished shell sits on a mirror, surrounded by shells, roping, black rocks that my neighbor also collected from Miami Beach and battery operated lights.......
These are 2 shells that I added rhinestone trim to .........
And one that I painted aqua.........

In the center on another mirror, sits 2 glass jars filled with shells..........
I made bows for the tops of each of the jars using aqua and peach ribbon......
More shells sit in front of the jars.........
I also want to point out that I wrapped the pole of the Tree at the bottom with aqua deco mesh and netting........
 Over to the right.......
Is another large shell that was also in my back yard!!!
I also used aqua glitter on this shell......
Glued a bunch of smaller shells inside of it.........
And added beaded trim around the edges........
It is also sits on a mirror and is surrounded by shells......
More embellished shells........
So how do you like my "Beach"??????
I decorated this corner of the Living Room with other Coastal items.........
I will be sharing these projects in my next post........
Along with 2 new wreaths that I made.....
So I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......
