I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

In my last post, I shared The Harvest Tea that I co chaired at my church....

Thanks Melynda, over at Scratch Made Food! and DIY Homemade Household, for choosing my post, Pink and Black Halloween Gothic Bathroom, as one of her features from the Senior Salon Pit Stop Link Party!!

Thanks so much, Melynda!!

Please stop by and link up to this great party!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I got a visit from my son Jim, Danielle, Lily, Gigi, Faye and Azumi yesterday when Jim came to take my air conditioners out of the windows....

Mimi and Lily....

Lily is on the right and Gigi is on the left.....

And me with all my Grand Daughters!!!

It really brightened this Mimi's day as it was the 6 month anniversary of Joe's passing....

Today, I will be starting the tour of my Dining Room decorated for Halloween......

I am going to start with the buffet......

I set up a Fortune Teller's display on the buffet again this year.....

In the corner.....

I hung this Dollar Tree sign over the picture.....

A large Halloween tussie mussie I made.....

Sammy Skeleton is sitting waiting to look into his crystal ball......

Well, actually it is a orange mercury glass Jack O Lantern.......

At his feet.......

I bought this sign this year in Gabes.....

The sign and the eyeball are from Dollar Tree......

On the shelf....

A "Twisted Twig"

I used the Ouija Board that I bought for my sons when they were young.....

I realized I forgot to turn the lighted globe on.....

Better....

A set of ghost lights that were gifted to me by my friend Anne Marie is woven throughout the display.....

On a pedestal.....

The Palmistry sign and the hand are also from Dollar Tree......

I hung a Dollar Tree sign on one of the handles and placed another sign on the floor.......

Skeleton ornaments were also hung on the Sides...

On top of the small curio......

Another gift from Anne Marie on this Home Interiors shelf.....

I bought the Haunted House in Target many years ago.....

The 3 figurines are also gifts from Anne Marie....

On the floor in front of the curio.....

A pumpkin that I embellished and added a skull on top.....

And guess who gifted me the cute Bearington Bear Trick or Treater????

I made the Witch's Hat....

And this is where I will leave off for today......

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated this part of the Dining Room for Halloween.....

In my next post on SATURDAY, for Saturday Snippets, I will be sharing how I decorated the hutch as an Apothecary Cabinet......

And Minerva!

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!!!!

Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

  6. Oh my gosh! Your grandkids are the cutest!!! As always you're decorations are absolutely gorgeous. The Quija board has me wracking my brain trying to figure out which storage area mine is in. I never thought to use it as decor which is why I spend so much time right here. You always have the best ideas! Thanks so much for the inspiration. Happy Halloween!
