I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I wanted to share my rhododendron in full bloom.....

It really was beautiful this year....

I thought that I would share how I did with my Goals for the month of May on my Spring/2nd Quarterly Goals List.....

My Goals are more of a To Do List for each Month and Season of the year....

Let's take a look at how I did on my Goals for May!

 MAY

Look into purchasing some faux flowers for the back patio pots that I can use year after year - YES!

I did buy quite a bit of faux flowers...

Walk at least 5 days a week - NOPE!

Honestly, I can not promise this as I seem to have a mental block for some reason about walking and I think it could be because Joe and I walked our Grand Pups for over 2 years before the Twins were born and he passed away...

I haven't really gone walking since he passed away...

I am looking into buying one of those walking pads to use in the privacy of my own home..

See Alice Copper in concert at our Arena - YES!!

Joey and I did go to the concert, looking forward to it as all 3 of us had tickets to see him before but it was cancelled during the Pandemic!!

These are pictures posted by the Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza....

The concert started about 8:10 pm with him singing song after song after song until only a few minutes before the concert was over when he spoke to the crowd and introduced his amazing Band which included an appearance of his wife of almost 50 years, Sheryl!!

Alice Cooper is 77 years old and performed straight for 1 hour and 40 minutes!!!!

We are so happy that we went as it was an amazing concert with me reliving songs from my teen years!!!

And for Memorial Day - YES!!!!

Pack up Easter in the Living Room -  YES!

Clean and decorate the Living Room for the Summer Patriotic Holidays - YES!

I will be sharing the Living Room decorated for the Summer Patriotic Holidays in the next few weeks....

Pack up Easter in the Dining Room - YES!

Clean and decorate the Dining Room in a Tea Room theme for the Summer - YES!

Again, I will be sharing my Dining Room Tea Room in future posts...

Pack up Easter in the Kitchen - YES!

Clean and decorate the Kitchen in the early Summer Hen/Roos and Bee theme - YES!

I will be sharing the Kitchen sometime this coming week....

Clean out the flower bed by our mailboxes and put mulch down- NOPE!

All the rain that we have been having has prevented me from doing so...

Put up the new shades in the bedroom that I ordered last Fall - NOPE!

 Tabled til June...

Have my son Jim put the air conditioners in the windows- NOPE!

Again the colder temps. ( high's in the 50's and 60's) and all the rain has pushed this into June too..

Jim will be putting them in for me this coming week...

Buy annual flowers for the front yard and plant them - YES!

Sparingly buy flowers for the back yard - YES!

Some I already shared HERE and HERE...

And some you did not see yet.....

And yes, I will be sharing where I planted them when I share my post on my back yard cottage garden when my missouri primrose starts to bloom....

Goals moved to May from APRIL

Mulch the back yard - Nope!

Since my back yard has filled in with perennials and there is no space to actually put the mulch, I am deferring this til later in the Summer...Maybe in July..

Set up the back Patio  - YES!

I shared how I decorated my back Patio with bright and cheery colors which you can see HERE and HERE....

Have the front yard mulched -  NOPE!!

I decided to table having the slopes in front of my house and my next door neighbor's until the Fall, maybe early November, because of this.....

There really is no room that has not filled in on the slope to mulch right now!!

But I plan on getting a few bags of mulch ( when the rain stops) and putting it in the flower beds on the top of the slope and under the Living Room windows as I can manage that myself so that is tabled till June...

Watch Wicked - NOPE!

Tabled til June since most of the shows I watch have now ended their Seasons.....

I do not think that I did too badly from May....

Now let's look ahead at my revised Goals for June

JUNE

Walk at least 5 days a week either outside or after buying a walking pad

Straighten, reorganize and clean the storage shed that I rent

Take down Christmas ( yes , you are reading that right) in the Sitting Room if I did not get to it before this.

Clean and redecorate the Sitting Room in a garden theme

Reorganize the Sitting Room closet

Take down Christmas in the Craft Room if I did not get to it before this

Clean and re-organize the Craft Room, going through all my supplies, deciding what to save or donate

Reorganize the Craft Room Closet

Start going through all of Joe's Pittsburgh Sports items with my son Joey and deciding what to keep and what to donate

Go through the Storage Room again, deciding what I will not be using and reorganize it

Goals now moved to June from May

Clean out the flower bed by our mailboxes and put mulch down

Put up the new shades in the bedroom that I ordered last Fall

Have my son Jim put the air conditioners in the windows

Mulch the top flower beds along the slope and under the Living Room windows...
