I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I wanted to share this amazing soup that I ordered from my great niece Carly as a Fund Raiser for her Senior Class Trip.....

It is home made from a local Farm.....

It was more like a stew rather than a soup......

And was absolutely delicious....

I also ordered a Loaded Baked Potato Soup and it was definitely loaded....

If she is ever selling these again, I will definitely order again...

I know in my last post, I mentioned that I would be sharing the Kitchen decorated for Easter but instead, I want to share an unplanned project I did along with a family Birthday celebration.....

The other day, I was doing something in my storage room and noticed that I really have a lot of cans of spray paint, including 4 cans of a periwinkle blue.....

I then went out back to clean out the dryer vent and noticed just how rusted my set of wrought iron chairs and table were from being out in the elements for several years....

Since it was still March at the time, I had not done a single thing to clean up the back yard and patio...

And truthfully, I still haven't done any Spring clean up.....

So I took advantage of everything being covered with tarps and nothing out in the yard....

And since it was in the high 60's, I decided to take advantage of that and spray painted the table and chairs.....

I laid down a plastic tablecloth as a drop cloth......

The 4 cans were exactly enough to do the entire set....

I really like the color on these....

I really like how the flowers stand out with the new paint color....

I also had enough paint to touch up 2 other things that I painted a few years back in the same color.....

This watering can....

And this planter.....

This was an unplanned spur of the moment project.....

And I am really happy with how this set looks after painting them.....

My DIL Danielle's Birthday was on March 23rd....

We finally got to celebrate her Birthday this past Tuesday, on April 1st...

The twins had not taken a nap and were a bit tired by the evening...

Danielle with Gigi.....

She liked this bunny that I had made a few years ago....

Jim, Lily, Azumi, Danielle, Gigi and Faye...

We had a wonderful evening and I am so happy that we celebrated on April 1st...

21 years ago, on April 1st, was my Mother's Funeral....

The day I said good bye to my only remaining parent.....

1 year ago, 20 years after my Mom's Funeral, I sat in the Emergency Room with Joe listening to the diagnosis that I feared....

Pancreatic Cancer that spread to the liver...

Joe looked at me and grabbed my hand and said " I will beat this, Honey"!

But  I knew in my heart that was not going to happen...

It was such a joy to see the babies, the pups and my sons and daughter-in-law, replacing those past painful memories of that day with happy ones.....

I couldn't help but think that Joe's spirit was there with us....

Lily was holding onto the eye on the teddy bear that Hospice made from Joe's Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguin's Sweatshirt for quite some time...

And later on, she was holding onto Joe's ID badge on the bear....

Just holding on as if it comforted her...

Gigi picked up one of the dog toys that Azumi was playing with....

A Pittsburgh Penguins hockey stick, that Joe bought in Pittsburgh for the pups, and was walking around with it .....

I know Joe was up there smiling.....

Nelson Crest is all decked out for Easter.....

I am going to let the pictures do the talking....
