I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

In my last post, I shared my Easter Tree and how I decorated the hutch in the Kitchen for Easter!

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

I want to Thank Joanne, over at Slices of Life, for choosing my post, Easter Hutch and More in the Dining Room, as one of her features from last week's Talking About It Tuesday Link Party!!

Thanks so much, Joanne!!

Please stop by and link up to this charming party......

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Yesterday, I finally was able to take down and pack away all the Winter decorations from the front of the house....

I think for some reason I had a mental block about doing this....

Instead of bringing all the tubs for everything from my storage shed up to my house, I packed everything in bags and boxes, loaded the car up and packed everything into the tubs down at my storage shed......

And hopefully, this method will make it easier when I decorate for Christmas and Winter next year with taking the bagged items out of the tubs down at the storage shed and bringing just them home instead of hauling those tubs up here to the house....

Sneak Peak......

I could not fit anything else in my car so, for now, I left all the garland up as it was almost Dinner time and I needed to finish what I could as rain and snow showers are predicted today until Sunday!

More on the front of the house decorated for Easter in a future post....

Today, I will be sharing more of the Kitchen decorated in an orange, red and yellow color theme for Easter, which are really not your traditional Easter colors....

I will start where I left off in my last post....

At the stove.....

Above the stove.......

Joe bought this sign on Clearance at 90% off in Big Lot's and I embellished it and painted it......

You can see I have very little counter space....

Even though we took out the Kitchen window when my Dad turned the back patio into another room, the Den, I still treat this area as a window....

On the left side....

Carrots go well with the color theme for Easter in the Kitchen....

I hung a valance that I made by cutting a hand embroidered tablecloth topper in half....

I made a new orange bow out of Dollar Tree ribbons that I bought in the Fall......

I decorated the chandy that I made with a bunny and "carrots" that I made out of plastic cones bought at a hardware store.....

On the right side....

On the window sill......

Chicks go well with the color theme for the Kitchen too....

Pysanky eggs that I bought at a church flea market.....

The large egg was made by my MIL and says "Happy Easter" in Polish.....

In the center......

Joe gifted me the Easter Tree many years ago.....

More Pysanky eggs.....

On the right side.....

I bought the green glass bunny at The Christmas Tree Shops....

Easter towels and an orange checked mat which is actually the reversed side of a Fall one.....

In the corner....

I placed an orange checked dish cloth over the cookie jar that graces this corner year round....

Placed a yellow chick box inside the wire tea cup that I spray painted copper last year....

I am going to skip sharing my Beverage Area until my next post.......

And skip over to the top of the refrigerator.....

I bought the bunny carrot cart in Penney's several years ago....

On top of the bread box.....

The bunnies were a gift from a friend.....

On the right side......

One of the very few Easter things I bought this year is this sweet chick in an egg from Gabes.....

And this is where I will leave off for today!!!

In my next post on SATURDAY, I will be finishing up my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Easter!!

    1. Barb,
It is going to rain with snow showers til Sunday...I still have to take the garland down on the front porch but will need to let it dry out before I bag it up...
      Thanks again for dropping by!
      Hugs,

  2. Your weather looks much like ours -- lots of rain and gloom and not particularly warm temps (though it's getting closer, so they say. It's awfully cold here now!). Have a wonderful week!

  3. I think packing and carrying bags sounds much easier than trying to move big tubs. I think you are doing great figuring out how to manage things on your own. I know it has been a rough year - but you are doing great! (hugs)

  4. You are so clever Debbie, with your window hack. Love that! You have so many beautiful pieces, that you share each holiday season. I think carrying bags back and forth sounds like a better plan since you will not have all of the weight of the tubs. I needed this idea for carrying everything up and down the stairs for Christmas. I haven't really decorated much since then. Maybe I will get around to it soon. Thanks for your visit, and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

  5. The kitchen decorated for easter is so cute and cozy! I always love looking at your photos. It reminds me of the house of a friend of our family's from years ago. Their house was similarly decorated and cozy.

Our area really needs spring right now! This cold and warm, cold and warm has to go!
