In my last post, I shared how I decorated the Dining Room buffet in a Fortune Teller's theme.....
And a Haunted House.....
Click HERE if you missed that post!!
Welcome to Saturday Snippets!!!
I want to mention that my new header picture is what I see when I am pulling into the road to my development!!
NEPA Fall Foliage and the mountains that are behind me and the woods on the one side of me!!!
What a blessing to see this every time I come back home.....
I will be doing a post in the future on the Fall foliage in my area....
Today, I will be continuing my tour of my Dining Room decorated in a Spooky Halloween theme.....
I am going to start this post where I left off.......
Next to the small curio is the hutch.....
Which I have once again decorated as an apothecary cabinet for Halloween.....
I did make a few small changes from last year and used a few new things.....
These were bought last year on clearance.....
And I bought these this year in Big Lot's....
On the top of the hutch...
A Halloween tussie mussie that I made hangs above the hutch.....
On the left side.....
Some of the potion bottles I made few years ago....
Black crows or ravens if you like sitting on crystal cube candle holders....
Dollar Tree glasses.....
New is the Apothecary sign that Joe bought on clearance last year....
A spider web runner was placed over the while lace one on top of the hutch......
You can see the design on the end s of it here.....
I bought it a long time ago in Big Lot's.....
On the right side.....
The inside of the hutch.....
Top shelf....
A skull, that I embellished, placed inside an antique sterling silver bridal basket....
The plates in the back ground are paper plates from Dollar Tree.....
Middle shelf.....
I bought the arsenic mugs in Big Lot's....
I bought the caldron in J.C. Penney's......
The mask came from Dollar General...
The bottom shelf.....
See the new skeleton goblets???
And the skeleton hands are new from Dollar Tree.....
I made the open potion book quite a long time ago....
I can not believe it only took me 43 years to take the glass siding doors off this hutch.....
I like it so much better without the doors on....
Many years ago, I dressed Minerva for Halloween when I had her on display in my Living Room....
Last year, I decided to have her oversee the Halloween decorations in Dining Room....
I was debating whether to bring Minerva down from the Sitting Room for Halloween again this year....
Joe loved her last year and in fact, he would have preferred it if I put her by the front door to scare people as they came in!!!
So in Joe's memory and since I had everything to dress her up for Halloween, I decided to have her grace the Dining Room once again!!
I made her witch's hat last year.....
I painted a plastic pumpkin head a darker shade of orange and flipped it over so I could place it over the top of the wicker dress form with the Jack O Lantern face upside down and facing backwards.........
Instead of drawing some type of face, I simply used another mask from Dollar General.....
I pretty much kept Minerva as she is normally dressed....
She is wearing my late neighbor Elly's wedding gown , which her sons were going to throw out!!
I added a few things for Halloween, like a spider on her shoulder....
And a spider medallion which is actually an ornament......
I tied a Dollar Tree scarf around her waist and added another mask from Dollar General.....
It looks like a cat......
I bought these gloves also in Dollar General.....
And the broom in Dollar Tree......
I made this a few years ago.....
I inverted a plastic pumpkin, spray painted it black, filled it with flowers and 2 Dollar Tree witch's legs....
I hung 2 ornaments of the handles of the drawer of the hutch....
I hope you enjoyed seeing this year's apothecary cabinet and Minerva!!!
In my next post on MONDAY, I will be finishing my tour of the Dining Room decorated for Halloween...
Including my Halloween Tree....
And more Halloween decorations.....
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY!!!

I am in love with your Apothecary Cabinet!!!! In LOVE. So. I have two china cabinets in my dining room (whoops, I have 3 china cabinets in my dining room) Of course I do. I already have my Cabinet of Curiosities that you inspired and I though I was done. But I am really thinking I might need an Apothecary Cabinet as a companion!!! I think I will be hitting the Halloween Clearance to see what I can find for next year. What an adorable idea!!! Meanwhile, Minerva could not look finer. What a great way to remember Joe in your season of Halloween.
