I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my last post, I shared this area on my small Kitchen decorated for Falloween.....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

My son Joey returned home after his 2 day trip to Pittsburgh to see a Pittsburgh Penguins game to honor his Dad....

Ever since Joe retired, they both went on a Father/Son trip every year ( except for Covid) to Pittsburgh...

Joey enjoyed the game and said Joe would have loved it as it was the first ever Pucks and Paws Hockey night....

Owners were able to bring their dogs, sitting in a special section....

Players showcases dogs that were up for adoption at the local shelter......

Joe definitely would have loved seeing all these dogs sitting in seats!!!

Today, I will be continuing my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Falloween....

I will start at the top of the fridge......

I decorated it with a Candy Corn theme.....

You may remember that I bought this orange glass jar at a church flea market this past Summer....

I placed a floral arrangement inside of it.....

I embellished the orange plaid pumpkins from Dollar Tree.....

My friend Anne Marie gifted me this cute ceramic tree....

The bottle brush trees came from Dollar Tree.....

I recently bought these candy corn salt and pepper shakers at Big Lot's....

I filled the mason jar with candy corn that I used for the lamp.....

Across from the fridge is the counter bar.....

Since my Kitchen is so small, I designed this counter bar and had a friend of ours build it for me....

On the left side of it is my vintage Laundry display......

I wised up this year and left up the evergreen garland that I hang above the counter bar for Christmas/Winter.....

I added a Fall like leaf garland and a pumpkin garland to it for Fall.....

I made bows from plaid ribbon I bought in Target after Christmas of all things!!!

I hung this huge Halloween cone, that my dear friend Anne Marie gifted me, above the counter bar....

 On the left side.....

On top of the red mercury glass candle holder is a pumpkin mug with another orange plaid pumpkin on top of it .....

 I made the scarecrow....

A Fall dish and a leaf dis hold cough drops and candy.....

In the center behind the lamp is a scarecrow hat I made....

Same on the other side....

 I used a plaid runner......

I placed 2 copper colored pumpkin place mats on each side......

After I took the first batch of pictures, I changed the Halloween plates out that I hung on each side of the counter bar......

I hung a cafe curtain that I made out of a tablecloth and added a Halloween rug....

On the right side of the counter bar.....

 I hung 2 harvest signs.....

I hung 2 faux bunches of Indian corn on each side of the top sign....

A Dollar Tree sign that I embellished.....

And this is where I will leave off for today.....

On SATURDAY in my next post, I will be sharing my Falloween Beverage area.....

So I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY!!!

  1. I don't remember the Candy Corn in the kitchen! Is it all new? Was it inspired by the gift from Anne Marie? (that lovely lady we are all holding in our prayers). Really cute stuff and I love the way it rolls off the tongue. I might just be looking at Halloween clearance for a Candy Corn Kitchen next year, LOL. Kandy Korn Kitchen? Candy Corn Citchen? NO, it will have to be a Candy Corn Kitchen - which is fine since I doubt I will be spelling it. I love the rest of your kitchen, too, so fun.
The game looks like it was very fun. I bet it was a riot with all the dog fans and I hope they all behaved. I also hope there were lots of adoptions for those needing home. I am glad Joey went in memory of his dad and I am sure Joe loved looking down from heaven to see the festivities!

  2. Your kitchen is so fun! Do you basically do the same each season or do you mix it up? I would have a hard time remembering where everything went!

    1. Barb,
I basically do use everything Season after Season but I do try to change things up...I lot of items were gifted to me so they have sentimental value....And as far as remembering, the blog sure helps with that because I always check back to see what I did the year before....Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you and your hubby are having a great week!!
      Hugs,

  5. I love all of your Falloween decor. Especially the candy corn tree! It reminds me of the Christmas tree my mom had when I was younger. So beautiful. I hope you have a wonderful week!
