I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

In my last post, I shared my Falloween Beverage area in the Kitchen....

Click HERE if you missed that post!!

Today, I am finishing up the tour of the Kitchen decorated for Falloween....

This wall is definitely the Halloween part of Falloween in the Kitchen...

I hung a Fall apron and a ghost that I made......

I added a Halloween sign and a pumpkin to this shelf....

Hanging on the side of the hutch and to the side of the shelf.....

On a chalkboard given to me by a former co-worker.....

On the side of the Tree......

 My Kitchen Halloween Tree......

This year, in addition to the leaf garland from Dollar Tree, I added a cute pumpkin and ghost garland that I bought in Big Lot's last year on Clearance....

I used an owl yard stake from Dollar Tree as the topper and made a bow from 2 different ribbons......

And tucked 2 orange skeleton hand salad tongs into the Tree....

I made the ornaments for this Tree over the last few years......

I placed the Tree in an antique crock.....

I did change things up a bit when I decorated this hutch....

I went with a very whimsical Halloween theme....

 The top of the hutch.......

Owls....

 On the top shelf.....

This year, I placed a framed picture of a witch from a calendar in the corner......

On the other side of the shelf.....

In the center, I hung a sign, "If the Shoe Fits"

The bottom shelf.....

The new owl mug I bought recently at Gabes.....

On this side, I placed a Dollar Tree haunted house that I painted black, backed it with white paper and framed it.....

Like last year, I set up my haunted house that Joe bought me the first year that we were married....

He had a co-worker of his at the time, who did ceramics, make it for him.....

I set up a little cemetery in front of it....

 Underneath the desk......

On the other side of the hutch......

'
I added a Halloween sign and a few pumpkins to this shelf as well......

 A sign bought at Gabes.....

And a Halloween tussie mussie that I made.....

Above the doorway out to the Den.......

And that completes the tour of my Kitchen decorated for Falloween this year......

I hoped you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoyed decorating it....

Love getting out decorations I have had for years and the good feeling of having things that family made for me. Looking forward to your next post...and getting ready for some friends coming for dinner on Saturday - trying to make napkins that look like bats !!! Have a great week! Ann www.ournewvista.com

  4. I love the haunted house Joe gave you, what a sweet gift. My goodness Debbie, you hit it out of the park every season with all of your decorations. I haven't decorated for fall, usually I would have started on Christmas by now, but I haven't really thought about it yet. A close friend passed, and I recently had surgery so I am slow with the decorating right now. It was good to hear from you.

  7. Hi Debbie! As always your home is just amazing. I could go on and on about your talent! But... I have been so out of touch over the last several months that I need to apologize to you! I am so very, very, sorry about Joe! I can't imagine what you have been through. It is such a blessing that you all have each other to lean on. I know in my heart that he is there with you everyday and watching over you constantly. I do believe he's waiting for you to go buy a winning lottery ticket as he always did! Both you and Joe have always been winners. You found each other, you had so many wonderful years together, and you raised an amazing family. That's winning in every sense of the world! Keep doing what you Debbie. You are an inspiration to all of us. Prayers to all of you. Take care!
