Of course I made a donation for all of this!!

Thanks so much, Stacy!
Please stop by and link up to this lovely party!!
Our grand pups are back home and our son Jim and Danielle are resting before they have to go back to work after a whirlwind vacation in NYC...
They attended 2 concerts, one at Met Life Stadium and one at Madison Square Garden and one off Broadway show where Jim was called on stage to participate in "The Play That Goes Wrong" !!
I posted the video that Danielle was able to shoot until they asked her to stop recording on my Face Book page if you are interested!!
It is quite hysterical!!!
They also saw "The Cottage" starring Eric McCormick, directed by Jason Alexander and "Back to the Future", The Musical" on Broadway....
This was their last Hoorah before the birth of their twin daughters around the end of the year....
With the pups just leaving on Wednesday evening, Thursday was my straightening up, rest up and get back to normal day...
With all my recent Seasonal and Holiday Buys piled up in the Sitting Room, I did not get to take the pictures for the post that I had planned on for today of the Sitting Room decorated in a Garden theme for Summer.....
So I decided to table that one for now and move on to my Kitchen!!!
For the past 3 years, I have decorated the Kitchen in an Apple/Sunflower theme for Late Summer/ Early Fall......
The last week of July is when I decorated the Kitchen like this.....
Today, I am going to be sharing my Kitchen Tree and the area by the Tree....
One of my recent projects was to sew this gold tassel trim on to this valance that I made.....
I hung an apple that I made in the center.....
The shelf that my Dad made for me from scrap lumber he had....
On the side of the Tree....
A chalkboard.......
An apple and a rolling pin sign that says " Let's Eat" inside of a vintage loaf pan.....
On the side of the Hutch.....
This was a gift from my friend Anne Marie last year.....
I added red gimp and a few sunflowers to it....
I hung the Sunflower "Bottle Cap" tin sign on the wall behind the Tree.......
I keep this Tree up and decorated from mid July til after Easter, decorating it for the different Seasons and Holidays..........
After Easter, I had packed it away and replaced it with this yellow milk can filled with red and yellow roses.....
That is now packed away up the attic and the Kitchen Tree has made a comeback!
The more Trees I have up in the house before Christmas,, makes it so much easier for me when I do have to decorate for Christmas!!!
I made all the ornaments for this Tree 2 years ago...
I made these apple ornaments using felt that I had in my stash.....
I really like how these came out!!!
I also wanted to make a few more apple themed ornaments so I made these.....
I
painted wood pieces that I had in my stash and adhered graphics to them
that I ran off from the computer using Spray Glue......
I bought these in Dollar Tree as Joe thought they looked like apples and they did have other ones in a pumpkin form.....
So I made them into apple ornaments even if they are not....
I also made these which I used in other places throughout the Kitchen....
This year, I made these apple core ornaments......
I decorated the Tree first with this rope garland....
I used a plain red ribbon with a white sequin like trim to make the bow....
After pitting all the ornaments on the Tree.....
I tucked in 2 different types of Sunflowers....
I placed the Tree into a crock......
A Sunflower Garden stake from Dollar tree is the topper....
The chalkboard ornaments also remind me of the start of school at the end of August/beginning of September here in our area........
And I will leave off here for today.....
I might as well stay in the Kitchen for the next few posts.......
In my next post on MONDAY, I will be sharing how I decorated the Hutch this year in the Apples & Sunflower theme.....
I was able to use some new pieces here so it is different from other years......
So I hope you will stop by to visit again on MONDAY as I continue my Tour of the Kitchen decorated with Apples & Sunflowers for Late Summer/Early Fall!!
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!
