Please stop by and link up to these wonderful parties!!!

I know most Bloggers are barreling head on into Spring with their posts and I guess it does depend where you live but for us here in NEPA, we are still very much experiencing Winter and we usually do not see any sign of Spring until April........

This is what was predicted for last night into today......
We were supposed to get Snow, then Ice and then Rain but it seems like we never got the Rain as this is what we woke up to this morning.......
Snow with a layer of ice!!
Joe worked hard this morning, shoveling and picking away at a layer of Ice after he had cleaning off the sidewalks and around our car last night and put Ice Melt down which apparently did not work!!!!
It is supposed to get up into the high 40's today........

We will see as I do not believe anything that the Meteorologists on TV say anymore!!!!!!

As far as Winter being close to being over.......

Some of our highest snow falls have occurred in March........

It was only 2 years ago that we had a record breaking Blizzard on March  14th-16th where we had 22 - 25 inches of snow duped on NEPA!!
It broke the record of the Blizzard of 1993 which also took place in March.....

So who knows what March has in store for us this year.....

I decorate the outside of our house for Winter.......
And I decorate Nelson Crest, my Victorian Doll House, for Winter also.......
I packed away all the Christmas decorations and left out those that could be used for Winter.......
I left out Snow Men and a sled and Winter Topiaries......
I am going to let the pictures do the talking......
Nelson Crest will stay like this until March when I decorate the outside for Spring and Easter........

When I retire, I do plan on giving Nelson Crest a makeover as I see the paint is starting to fade a bit.....

It is on my To Do List which is about 2 stories tall!!!!

Today on Thursday, 2/21, I will be having my knee aspirated and see where I go from there as far as my knee replacement surgery.....

I hope you will be back to visit again soon.......

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

  2. Hi Debbie, I always love to see photos of your dollhouses and this winter one is no exception. You have such an eye for detail! I had three dollhouses but have slowly let them go as I just don't seem to have the time or space anymore. It's a wonderful hobby though. I hope you do well with your knee and will not need surgery - not the best way to have to start your retirement! Thinking of you, Cheryl

  6. OMYGOODNESS...I had to get up from my computer and put on a jacket when I saw this snow...brrr...the older I get, the more I love warm weather....and cold weather just about does me in.
It looks so pretty on all your yard but..brrrr
We sure need the moisture out here in West Texas....rain, preferably....

  7. Debbie, your home looks so pretty all decorated. We have had a very long winter. We got snow in November and it just kept coming. We average about a storm a week these days. We also have a LOT of ice. My poor son fell on the ice on Valentine's Day and hit the back of his head. He has a bad concussion right now and we're quite concerned for him. Spring can't come soon enough for us although we won't see any evidence of it until April either. Love your doll house. You must have so much fun "playing" with it! You know my father was always building things when I was growing up, it's a wonder he never built me a doll house. Take care, my friend. Hugs...Sandi

  10. I can see why you are still in winter decorating mode with the weather you are having!
Your dollhouse looks adorable. The little milk bottles by the front door are my favorite detail!

  11. Oh my goodness, look at that snow! Here in Tennessee, we don't get much snow, which truthfully, I'm thankful for. I'm not much a winter person. Your winter dollhouse is beautiful, though. Thank you for sharing it at Sweet Inspiration!
