I am a Victorian Soul, who lives in a small townhouse that was built in the mid 1970's, not a huge Mega Mansion!! I just recently lost my Hubby Joe, who was a Retired Letter Carrier. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before I had Knee Replacement Surgery and officially Retired in 2019 after 41 years working in Direct Patient Care ... I am so glad that we retired at 62 years of age and got to spend that time together before he passed....I still do love Retirement!!!!

I DABBLE IN A BIT OF THIS AND THAT!!!!

Harvest Village, a Wreath and a Rake, 2016

In this post, I will be sharing my Harvest Village!!

But first, I want to Thank Kathy,' over at Life on Lakeshore Drive, for featuring my post,
Been Playing with Pumpkins Again, from last week's Bouquet of Talent Party!!
Thanks so much, Kathy!!

And I also want to Thank Kathryn, over at The Dedicated House, for featuring the same post from last week's Make It Pretty Party!!
Thanks again, Kathryn!!

Please link up and visit these great parties!!
Every year, I set up my Fall Harvest Village on top of the TV Entertainment Center.......
I not only have a Christmas Village but I have a Fall Harvest Village, a Halloween Village and an Easter Village!!
These villages were bought at Jo Ann Fabrics many years ago when my sons were young!!

I was lucky enough to find a few new houses for my Fall Harvest Village at The Christmas Tree Shop a few years ago!!
Let's start on the left side........

A gold glitter LED lighted Tree ,which is set on a timer.......
The top row........
The pictures that I have hung sort of creates a back drop for my villages that I set up here......
I bought the Tree in the center at The Christmas Tree Shop.......
The bottom row.......
I made this candle holder using a vase, candle stick and grave candle bought at Dollar Tree and added some Fall leaves to the inside of it.......
Some pumpkins and a gourd.....
Another lighted tree and candle holder on this side......
In another post, I will show you how it looks lit up at night......
I also wanted to show you the hall way that leads to the Kitchen.....
On a mirror between the closet and the powder room, I hung a wreath and a Fall rake that I made a few years ago......
In the center of the wreath is a plaque from The Dollar Tree.....
I made the Fall rake using a child's garden rake.....
Flowers, burlap ribbon bow and plaque were all bought at Dollar Tree.....
In my next post, I will be showing you how I decorated the Kitchen and Powder Room for Fall with a touch of Halloween......
So I hope you will be back to visit soon!!

And thanks to those who took the time out of their busy day to spend a little bit of time with me!!

If you do not have a blog, PLEASE  give me some way to reply to your comment, maybe by including your email in your comment.  If I can not find a way to reach you, I will reply on the post where you commented so please check back......

Hugs,
Debbie

  4. Goodness Debbie, I bought a new computer and although I 'saved' all the blogs I read on 'favourites' some still disappeared. Yours was one of them, but now I've found you again and refollowed. I'm so pleased you never fail to cheer me with your enthusiasm for all the seasons. Blessings

  6. I love your harvest village, Deb! I love that the village is warm and harvest-y looking, and not Halloween. It is just pretty. I love the candle holder you made with the vase, and the leaves inside. Such a warm and welcoming project, and looks easy too. Thanks for sharing!
