I am a Victorian Soul, live in a small townhouse that was built in the middle 70's, not a huge Mega Mansion, with my Hubby Joe. I worked night shift as an RN on a Hospital based Rehabilitation( Physical Medicine) Unit for 37 years before it closed in November of 2018 and have been a nurse for almost 41 years, with most of that time being full time!!! I recently had my knee replacement surgery done after putting it off for 6 years... I am NOW officially retired!!!!!

Fall Foliage

Today, I want to share some of the beautiful Fall Foliage here in Northeastern Pennsylvania......

But first, I would like to Thank Karren, over at O My Heartsie Girl, for featuring my post, Halloween Tree and Village, 2016,  from last week's Friday Favorites Linky Party!!
Thanks so much , Karren!!!

I also want to Thank Claire, over at Claire Justine, for featuring my post,  Spooky Dining Room, Part 2, from last week's Creative Mondays party!!
Thanks again, Claire!!

Please take some time to visit and link up to these lovely parties!!!

Because of a dry Summer, the Fall Foliage here was not as vivid as it usually is but it is still beautiful and this is why Fall is my favorite season of the year....

These are some trees by our house......
You can see our mountains in the back ground........
We have mountains on both sides of us......
These are the woods at one end of our parking lot in front of our row of townhouses.........
My neighbor's tree.....
About 2 weeks ago, we took a ride to see Joe's parents who live up in the mountains and even though it was a rainy day, I took a few photos.......

How appropriate for the season to take a few pictures as we passed a cemetery........
This photo was taken through the car wind shield as we rode down off the mountain and could see the valley.....
But you can still see all the colors on the trees.......

And last, I want to share the progression of my neighbor's Tree turning from a beautiful green to a stunning red and orange.......

You can see just the tips of the leaves turning.......
As the days go by.........
More red.......
And orange start to appear.......

And then one day, we had frost over night......
And as the Sun hits the tree in the morning.......
The tree looks brilliant.........
More red comes out.......
I can now even see the red of the tree through my Living Room lace curtains......
Each day, more green disappears........
Until after a hard frost overnight, almost all the green is gone.........
Even though it is a deary day, the tree is glowing with vibrant color!!
And here it is today with the Sun shining on it!!
To me, this is what fall is all about!!
I am lucky enough to see this beauty from all my front windows!!!

Soon, the leaves will have fallen off the Trees and they will lay dormant until Spring.......

But they sure did go out in a blaze of Glory!!

    Hugs Alessandra

  3. Good evening, sweet Debbie! I so enjoyed seeing your fall foliage. What beautiful colors! The leaves have all fallen off the trees here, but this is my favorite time to take walks as the leaves crunch beneath my feet :)

    Hugs to you!

  4. Beautiful fall foliage!! How special to have such beautiful color just outside your window to enjoy and see change daily. Our colors have changed quite a bit later than usual and a little at a time, but we are now seeing some pretty color when we go out for our walks.

  5. Wow, that red tree is stunning! What a good idea to take all those shots of its progress from green to red.
I also loved the multi coloured trees in the photo through the car window on your mountain trip.
If this was a less good year, I can't begin to imagine how lovely the good ones are!!
Happy days to you, Debbie x

  6. Such pretty foliage! Sadly ours has mostly passed by now but I just love all the fall colors and the crisp cool weather too.

  7. I am having some serious season envy here! We are in the middle of a very warm Spring in Queensland, Australia ;)
