In my last post, I shared what my little Back Yard Cottage Garden looks like in Mid Summer with some of the early blooming perennials cut back....

I want to Thank Barb, over at French Ethereal, for choosing my post, Present and Past Fairy and Gnome Gardens, as one of her features from last week's Share Your Style Link Party!!

Thanks so much, Barb!!

And now for a few Personal Notes...

Since Joe passed away, I keep finding Pennies on the ground just about everywhere including the strangest places...

I was doing some weeding the other day at my neighbor Ed's house which is 3 doors down from me.

I walked up the side walk once, taking equipment I needed, and I swear I did not see anything but on the way back to my house, I saw a penny on the sidewalk right in front of another neighbor's house....

Again, an odd place to find a penny...

So I added this 1970 copper penny to my bird bath to help inhibit algae growth in it....

Supposedly, pennies pre 1982 have a higher copper content that helps with preventing algae formation...

I am still under the weather and just can not seem to shake whatever this GI virus is....

If I do not feel better soon, I will be getting in contact with my physician...

Today, I am going to share what the Hutch in my Living Room looks like during the Summer....

I have not decorated it with any Seasonal decorations for the Summer...

What I did do was add some Cherubs and Butterflies.......

The top of the Hutch....

I hung butterflies from the greenery that hangs above the antique mantel mirror....

Gold cherubs and a metal butterfly.....

And a book in the background....

A floral swag and a vintage cross that belonged to my Mother is in the center....

And the right side mirrors the left.....

An Angel ornament hangs in the center....

I do apologize in advance as this Hutch is very hard to take pictures of because of the mirrors and glitz inside of it...

My white Angel Collection graces the inside of the Hutch.....

The top shelf.....

I added more cherubs and vintage aqua glassware...

The beautiful mantel clocks that holds my late husband Joe's ashes......

I have Joe's prayer card along with my late friend Anne Marie's pray card displayed in front of it...

I have candles that come on by timer on each shelf....

The middle shelf.....

I am keeping the Angel ceramic tree, that I bought at Christmas, in the Hutch, that was Joe's grandmother's, year round....

The candles on this shelf were placed in gold mercury glass vases that Anne Marie gifted me.....

The crystal sugar and creamer set with a tray was Joe's grandmother's....

The bottom shelf.....

I have also displayed several Iris Herringbone depression glass tumblers on the shelves...

A vintage aqua glass decanter set...

The gold mercury glass votive were also gifted to me by Anne Marie.....

The Hutch will stay like this all Summer until I decorate it for Autumn in September....

I took these pictures quickly this morning when none of the candles and other lighting was on since most of it comes on by Timer.....

I will take some pictures of it in the evening and share them in a future post....

I hope you will stop by to visit again on SATURDAY for my next post!!

In my last post, I shared my Falloween Haul and New Dollar tree Pricing....

And how I updated the gnome garden in a tub by brightening it up....

And now for a few Personal Notes...

I have not been feeling well for the last few days as I apparently caught a GI virus that was going around and it really did me in....

I seem to be on the mend now though so Beware, there is something going around including a new strain of Covid!!

Today, I am once again sharing my little Back Yard Cottage Garden....

Unfortunately, they only bloom in the month of June and then after that, they need to be cut down because they really look awful afterward....

So I thinned out and cut back all of the Missouri Primrose and it was time to then rearrange a few things in the Cottage Garden....

You also may remember that I finally set up my Gnome Garden in my galvanized tub.....

I will start with the left side of the yard....

I cut off some coleus from the plants I have growing in the front yard and am propagating them and will plant these in other pots once they start to root....

I decided to put them in cups of water because I was not sure yet where I want to plant them....

Last year, I just stuck them into other pots....

Cutting back the Missouri Primrose opened up a lot more room in the yard.....

Right in back of the wrought iron table and chairs on the Patio.....

Those are asters which will bloom in late Summer/early Fall with deep purple blooms.....

I also moved this vintage watering can over here for a pop of color....

Stone crop sedum......

The loosestrife is growing nicely on each side of the arbor and are starting to bloom with purple flowers that the bees love....

I actually moved the faux greenery over here inside of the planter behind the pedestal....

I planted cone flowers seeds in the small planter in front.....

I cover it to prevent the chipmunks from digging holes in it to bury their treasures....

Can you see the leaves in my yard????

Yes, I am having yellow leaves falling off the trees behind me already!!!!

My balloon flower that I planted last year in this vintage pail is now starting to bloom.....

I transplanted a Lamb's Ear from my neighbor's yard on the right side of it....

This is the area where I had to cut down the arborvitae that died on me....

My Fur Baby Memorial Garden....

I planted this hosta by where I cut the tree down and I hope I can saw more of it off in the Fall when it is cooler.....

I took those faux greenery out of this planter and planted Black Eyed Susan seeds in it and partially covered it to protect them from the chipmunks....

Looking at the other side of the yard....

Again, I planted marigold seeds in here and covered it because the birds like to pick them out....

The fountain in the bird bath is not shooting up because it is solar powered and was in the shade....

More Gnomes....

Another loosestrife blooming....

Again, I have faux flowers "planted" in all the pots on the Patio....

I planted marigold seeds in the pot inside of the bird cage and you can see some are popping up....

Impatiens, begonias and marigolds planted on the edge of the Patio in pots....

I did transplant a hosta in here that I thought died but just the leaves fell off and it appears to be taking along with some lamb's ear....

The other side of the middle garden bed....

More Gnomes....

The columbine leaves are turning red....

Sedum is to the right which will bloom in late Summer...

On the right side of the yard....

The hosta I planted in the pot in the Spring is doing well and I planted another lamb's ear in the other pot....

Asters are on the right which will bloom with light purple daisy like flowers in late Summer....

And there you have it....

Not are colorful as when the Missouri Primrose was in full bloom....

I will do another update in Late Summer...

When it gets cooler, I am going to get several bags of red mulch, have my son Jim or my neighbor Mo carry them from the car to the back yard and will finally get a good layer of mulch down back here...

And I am waiting for my former neighbor who is a landscaper to come and give me a price on weeding my front slope and mulching it as I just can not do that by myself anymore....

I hope you will stop by to visit again on THURSDAY for my next post!!
