Today, I will start sharing how I decorated my Kitchen for Winter......
In my last post, I shared the rest of my Den decorated for Winter .....
I want to Thank
Esme, over at Esme Salon, for choosing my post, One Little Word and Theme for the Year, 2024, as one of her features from last week's Senior Salon Pit Stop linky party!!!
And I also want to Thank
Becky, over at The Vixen's Den, for featuring my post, Valentine's
Gingerbread House and Gifts, Saturday Snippets, as one of her features
from last week's Whimsy Home Wednesday Link Party!!
Please stop by and link up to these charming parties!!
Today, I am starting my tour of the Kitchen decorated for Winter with this wall.....
If you would like to see how I decorated it for Christmas, please click HERE.....
I always call this my focal wall because it serves no purpose in the Kitchen other than to decorate it....
We will start with this side....
I hung a Valentine's apron.....
I added a red cardinal to what I normally have on this shelf....
The chalkboard to the side of my Kitchen Tree......
Above the Tree and on the side of the Hutch.....
I decorated the Kitchen Tree in a Cardinal theme for Winter.....
I changed the Kitchen Tree over from Christmas.....
To Winter...
A red berry bush and a snow flake top the Tree along with a bow made from a ribbon with cardinals on it and a red plaid ribbon....
I tucked buffalo snow into the Tree to make it look like snow.....
I decorated this Tree with bird houses.....
Red cardinals and a few other birds....
Crocheted snowflakes.....
A few red hearts.....
A pair of children's ice skates ....
This year, I decorated the Hutch a bit differently than other years.....
I decorated the top of the Hutch with some snowman that I made......
Penguin plates.....
And snowman candleholders.....
For Winter, I always display my Holiday Harlequin dishes in the top of the Hutch.....
The top shelf.....
This year, I only displayed the Holiday Harlequin dishes with just a few other things.....
I bought the reindeer heads in Big Lot's last year.....
I hung "snowflake" ornaments on the sides.....
The bottom shelf.....
The desk area.....
I decorated it in a cardinal theme.......
I kept out the beautiful snowman ornaments that my Face Book friend Angela gifted me.....
I framed a picture from a calendar....
I bought the red cardinal tea set at Wegman's several years ago....
I bought the mini cardinal tea set at a yard sale....
Under the desk......
I bought the tea pot at a church flea market....
I made the snowmen from clay pots last year.....
Did you see where I put the cutting board that my nieces gifted me for Christmas????
Two hearts hung on the drawer knobs.....
To the right of the Hutch.....
Hung on the other side....
Another red cardinal on the shelf....
I hung a few hearts in the doorway to the Den....
And this is where I will be leaving off for today!!!
Since we live in NEPA, I embrace Winter.....
The last few weeks have been cold and snowy and I have been loving it as it really got me in the mood to decorate for the Season....
We have had a warm up and rain so most of the snow is melting quick but I feel that Winter here is far from over so all my Winter /Valentine's decor will be staying up until the end of February even though we have gotten some of our best snow storms in March!!!!
We will be continuing the Tour of the Kitchen decorated for Winter on MONDAY!!!
But in my next post on SATURDAY, I hope you will join me for Saturday Snippets where I will be showing you how I changed over Nelson Crest from Christmas to Winter.....
Stay safe, healthy and most of all, HAPPY!!

Please take some time to visit these terrific hosts and all those joining in on the fun!
You have so many wonderful pieces for winter Debbie. I love your old-time phone, I'd like to hang a phone in our kitchen someday when it gets it's makeover. I wish I had a wall to dedicate to decorating in the kitchen, but it is full of doors and windows to work around. I love the Planter's Peanut Guy perched on a shelf. So darn cute! Hope your new year is off to a good start.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see the tweeks and changes to make your kitchen turn into a Winter Wonderland after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThat red is so very valentiney! I do like that desk!
ReplyDeleteHi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteFirst, I love all your Tiffany lamps. They are so unique and colorful. And the Guardian print over your desk in the den is one of my favorites. (I have a small "vintage" one in my bedroom.) The angel figurine in front of it is gorgeous! Do you leave it out all year? I enjoy my Jim Shore angels year-round.
As I've said before, your Harlequin teapots and dishes are just beautiful, and so are the sweet cardinal tea sets.
It's like Springtime down here! I hope all is well with everyone.
Blessings, Linda
Linda,
DeleteThanks once again for taking the time to stop by!! Many of my Tiffany style lamps I acquired from family or from my neighbor Elly...The one in the Kitchen was hers... and the one in the Den was Joe Aunt Mary's that she gave to us...The Guardian Angel picture is an old Home Interiors one and the angel is a Thomas Kinkade collectible...Yes, I do keep it out year round...I do love how the hutch in the Kitchen looks with the Holiday Harlequin dishes and the red cardinal tea set....We are now having Seasonal temps. here which is fine....I hope you are having a great week...
Hugs,
Deb
Wow. You have been busy! Very festive! #TrafficJamReboot
ReplyDeleteWow Debbie you really get involved in your decorating and everything is so festive. Thanks for sharing at Weekend Traffic Jam Rebook and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love all the cardinals everywhere and those holiday harlequin dishes add a lovely pop of color in your hutch.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always Debbie. I just love all the reds and whites.
ReplyDeleteOh How I envy you still being able to do so much. I have had to cut back so much the last few years.
I have our main floor all done for Valentines Day and basement family room is in snowmen. One tree up and snowman tree down. I have decided that less is more for me. At least some of the granddaughters have wanted some of my things so they will still be used. Winter here has been easy thus far. Really cold a week ago and lots of snow. Kids missed a week of school but yesterday was 50° outside. Snow mostly gone. Makes me start thinking spring so pulled a few things out to repaint for the gardens today.
Have a fantastic week end.
Debbie, you have an amazing collection of so many pretty decor items. Love the black and white and red mugs. I am happy too feature your winter kitchen tree and hutch at Love Your Creativity. Happy Sunday. Hugs
